Chapter 367: Two Girls Not to Be Underestimated

Hiding behind the bushes, Feng Jiu’er’s forehead was instantly covered in exasperated lines — resentment!

That damned spineless bastard, just to please Black Wuchang, had actually given her up!

Having just watched that single move from Black Wuchang, Feng Jiu’er was already calculating in her mind that this man was not someone easy to deal with.

And wasn’t there still White Wuchang above? Dealing with Black Wuchang alone was already hard enough — to face both at once, given how unstable her current cultivation level was, she’d have no chance of winning!

And this man had just landed her in such enormous trouble!

“Oh?” Black Wuchang put away the two maps, then lowered his head to look at the man who had spoken. “Then tell me — who exactly is the Crown Prince interested in these days?”

“It’s the Ninth Miss of the Feng family, Feng Jiu’er! Our boss had an informant at the academy — this is what the informant found out, it absolutely can’t be wrong!”

“Good. Much obliged for the information.” Black Wuchang gave a faint smile and turned to leave.

Feng Jiu’er glanced at him — she hadn’t expected that someone who looked so much like a ghoul in his attire would still hold to his word.

He said he wouldn’t kill them, and he truly didn’t. Weren’t ordinary villains supposed to wipe out everyone in sight?

The two kneeling men let out a deep sigh of relief, their legs weak as they finally managed to stand up.

But neither they, nor even Feng Jiu’er, expected that just as Black Wuchang walked away, a white shadow suddenly flickered over.

Another flash of silver light — just a single flash — and an even thicker stench of blood instantly hit Feng Jiu’er’s nose.

This was — White Wuchang! She had killed the two men just as they’d stood up! One strike to take both their lives!

Looking at the two bodies collapsed on the ground, White Wuchang smiled coldly: “Black Wuchang said he wouldn’t kill you, but I, White Wuchang, never said any such thing. As it stands now, this hardly counts as Black Wuchang breaking his word.”

With another cold laugh, she strode off after Black Wuchang.

Feng Jiu’er held her breath. She hadn’t expected this White Wuchang to be even more formidable than Black Wuchang — just from the movement of her strike a moment ago, she could tell White Wuchang was hiding a great deal of her true strength!

These two — utterly terrifying!

Feng Jiu’er held her breath, originally planning to wait until they left before hurrying to find Qiao Mu, so they could leave this dangerous place together.

The martial world had issued an Absolute Kill Order to assassinate Zhan Yuheng — this matter had to be reported to the Ninth Prince as soon as possible, to see what he planned to do.

But then again, why, out of everything, was the Ninth Prince the first person she thought of?

Just as she watched the Black and White Wuchang come together and prepare to leave, Feng Jiu’er finally let out a careful, quiet breath of relief.

But before she could fully release that breath, she suddenly sensed the stirring of someone coming down from the mountain.

Coming down from the mountain — who else could it be but Qiao Mu?

Sure enough, lifting her eyes, she saw Qiao Mu’s tall, slender figure hurrying over.

But before reaching the foot of the mountain, Qiao Mu suddenly halted her steps, immediately entering a state of alertness.

Qiao Mu’s vigilance was indeed no weaker — she could sense the killing intent here!

The Black and White Wuchang hadn’t expected anyone to come down from this mountain at all — this mountain had always been one no one dared climb.

The two exchanged a glance, then immediately split into two directions, each hiding to one side.

Damn it, these two sinister scoundrels meant to ambush Qiao Mu!

Feng Jiu’er could no longer stay put. She leapt up from the ground: “Qiao Mu, there’s an ambush here, watch out!”

As she spoke, her slender figure shot toward where Black Wuchang was hiding at the fastest speed.

A surge of true qi gathered in her palm and was sent flying forward with a rushing sound.

The Black and White Wuchang hadn’t expected anyone to be hiding nearby. Caught off guard, Black Wuchang was struck by Feng Jiu’er’s palm strike and sent flying with a loud thud.

White Wuchang’s expression darkened, and she immediately raised her weapon and charged forward.

A flash of silver light, and a bone-chilling, freezing aura shot straight toward Feng Jiu’er’s neck.

Recalling how White Wuchang had severed two men’s necks with a single strike just now, Feng Jiu’er’s scalp prickled. She tapped her foot and swiftly retreated.

White Wuchang’s ghostlike figure closed the distance in the blink of an eye — she was a master of lightness skill as well!

Black Wuchang also leapt up from the ground, and with a whoosh, threw some kind of hidden weapon straight at Feng Jiu’er’s heart.

Jiu’er had already known from the start that facing these two alone meant having absolutely no chance of winning.

So when Black Wuchang rose, she had already shifted her footwork, dodging out of position before he even struck.

Sure enough, Black Wuchang used his hidden weapon, but having already shifted aside, Feng Jiu’er narrowly dodged it — only for White Wuchang’s cold blade to already be upon her.

Feng Jiu’er’s eyes darkened, and she immediately turned her body to force her way past.

But White Wuchang’s icy sword moved like a living serpent, somehow changing direction in midair, its frigid chill still pressing against Feng Jiu’er’s neck as though it meant to cling there.

Feng Jiu’er’s heart sank — she had no weapon in hand, and facing a sword like this was far too taxing!

Then, to her dismay, Black Wuchang’s hidden weapon came flying at her once again at that very moment!

With the two working together, Feng Jiu’er had no way to fight back. Having dodged White Wuchang’s icy blade, Black Wuchang’s hidden weapon was already upon her!

Jiu’er knew she couldn’t dodge it entirely, and could only push hard with her foot and retreat swiftly.

Even if she couldn’t avoid it completely, at least she could lessen the damage.

But the two projectiles still looked set to land mercilessly on her shoulder.

Just at that critical moment, suddenly a flash of silver light appeared, and with two clangs, the projectiles were knocked aside by something.

Jiu’er’s footsteps halted at once. Looking up, she saw Qiao Mu’s tall figure standing in front of her, sweeping her Dragon Tongue Silver Spear to force White Wuchang back.

White Wuchang’s icy sword spun and immediately locked into combat with Qiao Mu.

Black Wuchang’s hidden weapons turned toward Qiao Mu this time, two whooshing sounds rushing at her swiftly.

This sinister man! Such high martial skill, and yet he loved throwing hidden weapons so much — utterly shameless!

Feng Jiu’er lifted her leg, drawing the short blade hidden in her boot. She leapt toward Qiao Mu, her blade flashing twice with a clang, knocking away Black Wuchang’s projectiles. Qiao Mu glanced at her — now she could focus all her attention on White Wuchang. Though she’d originally thought Feng Jiu’er would be no match for Black Wuchang, after seeing that display from Jiu’er just now, she realized that in the time they’d been apart, this girl hadn’t just survived — her skills had grown even more formidable.

Indeed, Feng Jiu’er handled Black Wuchang without showing the slightest strain.

Black Wuchang himself hadn’t expected that two young girls could actually hold their own against the two of them!

White Wuchang’s icy sword kept whipping and changing direction rapidly. With Qiao Mu’s spear looking so heavy and cumbersome, it shouldn’t have been able to block such speed.

Yet, wielding that heavy spear, Qiao Mu thoroughly parried every single strike. White Wuchang frowned and suddenly retreated several steps, drawing out a signal arrow and shooting it into the sky with a whoosh.
