The cauldron forged from the Primordial Source Root of All Things cast down fine threads of yellow-black primordial energy โ ancient and majestic, carrying the presence of something that could suppress all the rivers and mountains of heaven and earth.
The female Yao Guang disciple had cultivation at the third level of the Dao Palace, with one foot already stepping into the fourth โ yet at this moment she could not move a single inch.
The nine-meter cauldron hung in the sky, and with every foot it descended, the female Yao Guang disciple coughed up a mouthful of blood, her skin splitting open with fresh wounds one after another.
“Senior Sister!”
The male Yao Guang disciple cried out. He opened his mouth and released a jade seal โ no larger than an inch at first, crystalline and transparent, but it rapidly expanded.
In the blink of an eye the jade seal grew to the size of a mountain peak, carrying the force of ten thousand tons. It was as if an entire mountain had been moved across the sky, the void shuddering in its wake.
The situation was urgent. The female Yao Guang disciple was being suppressed by the cauldron โ though it had not yet touched her, still more than ten meters away, she was already unable to bear it, her body continuously breaking open with bloody wounds.
The male Yao Guang disciple exhausted everything he had to bring forth this seal. The sky rumbled in response. The jade seal was immaculate and translucent, its immense force shaking the heavens, leaving onlookers unsettled.
Clang!
The jade seal swayed, unleashing sheets of divine radiance like blades โ all of them striking the great cauldron โ yet to no effect whatsoever. The cauldron was like a vast abyss: immovable.
The male Yao Guang disciple’s heart sank. He bit down hard, poured in more of his Dao power, and the jade seal blazed with brilliant light, like a luminous mountain hurtling toward the nine-meter cauldron.
A cauldron forged from yellow-black primordial energy was almost unmatched in durability โ virtually indestructible. The male Yao Guang disciple knew this full well, yet he had no choice but to stake everything. Even if it meant destroying the jade seal, it didn’t matter. Otherwise his fellow disciple would surely die.
The jade seal, enormous as a mountain peak, bore carvings of birds, flowers, fish, and insects that seemed to come alive, lending it even greater weight and solidity.
Bang!
The crystal-mountain-like jade seal finally struck the cauldron. Despite appearing far larger than the cauldron, it was nowhere near as durable.
The nine-meter cauldron did not shift by so much as a fraction. Yellow-black primordial energy flowed from it, and the jade mountain was compressed and crushed โ with a thunderous crack it shattered, dissolving into a flash of jade light that vanished in an instant.
This was the cauldron forged from the Primordial Source Root of All Things. Subjected to such an assault and it had not moved half an inch โ hovering motionless in the sky, immense and imposing.
Clang!
Ji Yunlin struck out, sending the Heaven-Severing Finger slamming against the nine-meter cauldron with a resonant tone โ yet it could not move the vessel at all. The cauldron stood like a mountain; nothing could change that.
Swish!
Ji Yunlin struck again, unleashing the Heaven-Severing Dragon Spiral Force. Five dragons coiled around it, their enormous bodies encircling the great cauldron, their heads raised high โ attempting to heave it away and fling it into the distance.
But even with five dragons locking the cauldron, it could not be moved by so much as a hair’s breadth. Primordial yellow-black energy seeped from the cauldron and washed over the dragon-forms, producing a series of cracking sounds โ all five true dragons coiled around the vessel fractured and dispersed completely.
“Everyone, please strike now and rescue the Yao Guang holy maiden!” Ji Yunlin roared, transmitting his voice to those nearby.
“Please, everyone โ lend your strength! Yao Guang will richly reward you!” the male Yao Guang disciple called out as well.
A moment earlier, more than a dozen people had rushed forward, but upon witnessing the cauldron’s might, they had all come to a halt, standing in the sky not far away.
They were trapped between advancing and retreating. When they had seen Ye Fan hemmed in, they had planned to pile on. But then the cauldron forged from yellow-black primordial energy had appeared, and everything had changed.
Now, with both the ancient family and Yao Guang calling for them, they had no choice but to step forward. Over a dozen people each brought forth their weapons, striking at the yellow-black cauldron.
The young Qu Province cultivators daring enough to step forward were naturally of no ordinary ability. Their weapons tore through the sky; divine radiance crackled like fire and silver dragons, hissing and sparking โ illuminating the surrounding sky.
Clang! Crack! Ring!
Although these individuals were not ordinary, facing a cauldron forged from yellow-black primordial energy, they could not move it. Such a sacred object of heaven and earth was a peerless rarity โ refined into a weapon it was unbreakable, indestructible through ten thousand tribulations.
The cauldron shook lightly; yellow-black energy spilled out and scattered in all directions, reducing every one of those weapons to dust.
Ye Fan stood atop the great cauldron, his long hair billowing, his gaze bright and clear. He pressed down with force, and the cauldron sank further. The female Yao Guang disciple screamed โ her body nearly destroyed, blood erupting from her.
“Everyone, join forces against him and strike the cauldron away!” the male Yao Guang disciple roared.
He spat out a mouthful of essence blood, which blazed fiercely outside his body. Then his entire frame erupted in brilliant radiance, burning like a blazing sun.
This secret art, though not the inviolable Holy Light Technique, was another of the supreme secret arts recorded in a peerless ancient scripture โ a closely-guarded secret passed down through generations.
His entire body shone, blazing as if aflame. He struck out with his right hand; a vast wave of divine fire swept forward like an ocean, a great palm of flame covering the sky and crashing violently against the cauldron.
Clang!
The sound shook the heavens; the void quaked.
“Everyone โ he’s exhausted, barely able to act! Strike together and suppress him!” Ji Yunlin also bellowed.
His massive black hand swept across the sky as he launched the Void Great Hand Seal โ dark as a vast storm, striking the yellow-black cauldron again and again, the sound deafening.
“Kill!”
“Together โ kill him! As long as we knock him off the cauldron forged from the Source of All Things, he’ll be nothing but meat on a chopping block!”
โฆโฆ
Those dozen or so people charged forward, each striking with full force. Having already chosen to advance, they had no choice but to go all out.
Clang! Crash!
Across the broken mountain range, the sounds were piercing โ metal ringing, stone splitting โ as everyone struck at the yellow-black cauldron.
Everyone understood it was impossible to shatter this vessel. A sacred object refined into a weapon of this caliber was nearly indestructible. Their only hope was to knock it flying and dislodge the young man within the primordial source energy.
Ye Fan indeed felt somewhat low on divine power. This cauldron was like a bottomless pit โ never to be filled. Yet he was far from truly exhausted; he had simply been waiting for all these people to rush in together.
He had not immediately suppressed the enemy beneath the cauldron to death precisely in order to create an illusion โ making them believe that the female Yao Guang disciple could yet be rescued.
Sure enough, they all came charging in. Now, Ye Fan held back no longer. He drove the great cauldron and unleashed its immortal might in full.
“Splat!”
Below, the female disciple was dissolved into a mist of blood, obliterated utterly.
Boom!
The cauldron swayed as if heaven and earth had been overturned, threatening to flip the entire sky. Yellow-black energy poured out and surged in all directions.
“Aahโฆ!”
Screams rang out. The dozen or so cultivators could not withstand it at all. The yellow-black energy streaming from the cauldron was as heavy as a mountain โ these people were like ants trying to shake a great tree.
“Splat!”
The first figure was reduced to dust.
Splat! Splat!
The second, the third โ one after another they were incinerated into ash, ground apart by the yellow-black energy.
The cauldron shook. Every one of the dozen or so cultivators who had charged forward was annihilated โ not one could resist. Whatever secret art they deployed was shattered; whatever weapon they brought forth was broken or destroyed; nothing could stop it.
This was the might of the cauldron that shatters all techniques!
With one shake of the cauldron forged from the Primordial Source Root of All Things, all ten directions were destroyed โ nothing remained.
The male Yao Guang disciple cried out, the great palm of divine fire striking the cauldron wildly, the blows deafening โ yet it was like a mantis trying to stop a chariot. The cauldron rolled over him and he was instantly ground to powder, body and bones alike.
In the field, only a single figure remained unextinguished โ Ji Yunlin. Yet even he was clearly not long for this world. His lower half had dissolved into a mist of blood; a single black great hand was all that held before his upper body, barely keeping him breathing.
All who had watched the battle felt a chill rise in their hearts. This young man was terrifying โ with a single cauldron he had shattered all techniques, crushing every enemy to pieces. Such combat power was enough to make one’s very soul shudder.
“Your life is remarkably stubborn โ to have survived to the very last.” Ye Fan was somewhat surprised.
The cauldron had shrunk, now hovering over a meter tall above his head. Fine threads of yellow-black energy cascaded down, enveloping him completely. This sacred object inspired equal parts admiration and dread in every onlooker.
“You won’t survive either. My Ji Family has powerful warriors in Qu Province โ you won’t leave this oasis alive. You will be hunted down and slain.”
“If I dared to come, do you think I fear even that?” Ye Fan said with a cold smile at the corner of his mouth.
“You little brat, don’t be so pleased with yourself. Once you encounter the true young heroes of my Ji Family, you’ll understand what a real powerhouse looks like.”
“Are you speaking of Ji Haoyue, Ji Biyue, or Ji Haiyue?” Ye Fan asked calmly.
“Why would it take the young talents of my Ji Family’s Four Extremities Secret Realm to kill you? Young disciples at the fourth or fifth level of the Dao Palace would be more than enough โ crushing you would be like stepping on an ant!” Ji Yunlin said through gritted teeth.
“I have already slain three Ji Family disciples at the third level of the Dao Palace โ adding you shortly makes four. Are fourth-level Dao Palace disciples so impressive? I’ll go and find out for myself.” Ye Fan said this with casual indifference.
“Don’t be so arrogant. My Ji Family is full of powerful experts โ disciples stronger than the few of us are beyond counting. When the time comes, you’ll have nowhere to run, neither in heaven nor on earth!”
“Are there many Ji Family disciples at the fourth and fifth levels of the Dao Palace Secret Realm? In the future, I don’t mind cutting through them until they’re scattered and broken.” Ye Fan remained entirely calm.
The onlookers watching from a distance felt wave after wave of unease. This young man was like a demon king โ daring to raise a blade against an ancient family, filled with a terrifying ferocity that chilled them to their core.
“Go ahead and be as arrogant as you like. Your whereabouts are now exposed โ you can’t leave Qu Province. Two of my Ji Family’s ten great Dao Palace masters are in this oasis. Let’s see how you survive!” Ji Yunlin’s face was ashen.
Ye Fan paid it no mind, conversing with him at ease. Without realizing it, he had drawn much closer โ and at that moment he suddenly struck. From the center of his brow, the golden lake within blazed, and a surge of powerful divine consciousness shot toward Ji Yunlin’s sea of consciousness.
“Aahโฆ!” Ji Yunlin screamed.
“Let me take a look at the Void Ancient Scripture!” Ye Fan leaped forward and sealed Ji Yunlin in place.
He knew perfectly well that his opponent could not possibly have mastered the entire ancient scripture โ but he had certainly learned several supreme secret arts. If he could extract them, it would be a tremendous gain.
“Dream on!” Within his sea of consciousness, Ji Yunlin roared: “You will never obtain it.”
Suddenly, Ye Fan’s heart lurched with a wave of unease. A sense of foreboding struck him, and he decisively withdrew โ instantly pulling back his divine consciousness and retreating sharply.
“Splat!”
Ji Yunlin’s head was obliterated entirely. A terrifying force of the void detonated there โ piercing through the void itself, black mist billowing out, deeply unsettling, shooting straight toward him.
Clang!
The cauldron forged from the Primordial Source Root of All Things swayed. Yellow-black energy cascaded down like ribbons, blocking the mass of dark light โ it did not pierce through.
Ye Fan drew in a sharp breath of cold air. If not for the cauldron of yellow-black primordial energy, he would have been struck by that dark light just now!
“The sea of consciousness of these disciples all has void energy sealed within โ truly unsettlingโฆ”
Ye Fan stood alone in the field. Eight young disciples of both the ancient Ji Family and Yao Guang Holy Land had been killed by him alone. This would inevitably become a massive storm!
These people had gathered to capture him, maneuvering the gathering of Qu Province’s young cultivators to that end โ yet he had crashed the scene and cut them all down, eliminating every one of them.
In the distance, the young cultivators of Qu Province could not keep their hearts from racing. One could only imagine โ what had happened today would shatter heaven and earth, triggering an enormous upheaval.
This news could not be suppressed at all. Witnessed by everyone present, the young cultivators of Qu Province had all seen it โ it would spread at the very first opportunity.
Two great Holy Lands hunting a young man, only to have him openly and brazenly challenge them, killing eight true-transmission disciples in succession โ this was tantamount to slapping the Ji Family across the face. It would inevitably stir up a massive storm!
