The Nine Divine Weapons were all jade — each one only three inches in length, warm and crystalline, radiant with brilliant light. They were sacred relics left behind by a supreme sovereign of the ancient age, flawlessly translucent, extraordinarily magnificent.

“I have already received the Sea God Pearls and the Longevity Lock — I ask for nothing more.” Princess Yudie smiled gently, voluntarily stepping back and declining to participate in the division of the sovereign’s divine weapons.

“Clatter!”

Light flashed brilliantly in Dongfang Ye’s hands as he drew another heap of treasures from Duan De’s Wheel Sea, leaving everyone’s eyes wide with disbelief — a purple-gold gourd, a white jade small pagoda, a crimson blood divine spear… everything one could wish for, shimmering in cascading radiance.

“How many treasures does this fatty have? It’s like the supply is inexhaustible.”

In the end, they swept Duan De’s Wheel Sea completely clean. No fewer than forty or fifty treasures now floated suspended in the void, blooming with auspicious brilliance — beautiful and resplendent.

So many weapons presented a feeling like stepping into a dream, as though a great treasury had been thrown open — with everything one could desire, and each piece with its own remarkable significance and purpose.

Even the most unassuming clay basin among them was determined upon examination to be a rare and precious item. If a divine herb of tens of thousands of years’ vintage were planted within it, it could slowly be cultivated into a Herb King.

Of course, among all forty-some treasures, the Nine Divine Weapons were undoubtedly the most precious — already surpassing Sacred Sovereign-level weapons, each one imbued with divine essence, suffused in dreamlike radiance.

Without question, the Nine Divine Weapons were the cornerstone treasures of Duan De’s Wheel Sea — each one incomparable: the jade green blade, the purple jade sword, the crimson jade spear, the ink jade halberd, the white jade shield — all were divine relics.

After all, these had been forged by the one and only undefeatable Feathered Transformation King — fifteen thousand years had not diminished them; if anything, Duan De’s careful nurturing had made them even more crystalline and luminous.

Ye Fan pinched the three-inch purple jade sword and drew it lightly through the air — without a sound, a streak of purple radiance shot forth and cleaved a cliff face directly in two.

“Truly terrifying. It could most likely sever Sacred Sovereign-level weapons with ease!” Princess Yudie’s face, as perfectly still as carved jade, was filled with astonishment.

“It’s far too sharp — my physical body probably couldn’t withstand it.” The barbarian muttered, for all that his flesh surpassed that of a Great Adept, he did not dare face the Nine Divine Weapons.

“Swish!”

Ye Fan gripped the three-inch crimson jade spear between two fingers and flew into the air. With the lightest forward thrust, a rush of crimson radiance burst from the speartip and instantly pierced through the mountain range ahead — clean through from front to back.

A single strike to bore through an entire mountain — what kind of divine object was this? Every soul present trembled. Princess Yudie’s beautiful eyes lit up with an otherworldly gleam, and the barbarian’s gaze burned hot with longing.

“The Nine Divine Weapons truly live up to their legendary reputation — their power is immeasurable, and they will surely shine brilliantly in the days to come!”

“These were forged from the rarest Imperial Jade, allowing this set of weapons to continue growing over time. If the user’s cultivation is sufficient, they can eventually be refined into Sacred Objects.”

All three marveled in wonder. Ye Fan ran his fingers over the nine warm and lustrous jade pieces — they resembled the most perfect works of art, without a trace of murderous energy; on the contrary, they were translucent and beautiful.

In the end, Ye Fan claimed the Nine Divine Weapons, and neither of the other two raised any objection — for this entire haul, the lion’s share of credit belonged to him.

He also pocketed the clay basin. It might prove invaluable someday for cultivating a Herb King, and in the eyes of a pill refiner, it was a priceless treasure.

Of the remaining forty-some treasures, Ye Fan kept not a single one. The Nine Divine Weapons were the cornerstone of Duan De’s Wheel Sea, their value exceeding all other treasures combined.

Princess Yudie kept only a few precious items for herself. Having obtained the Sea God Pearls and the Longevity Lock — both incomparable rarities — she gave everything else to Dongfang Ye.

“Rest assured — this fellow certainly still has more sacred objects hidden on him.” Ye Fan made this prediction confidently.

This time, searching through Duan De’s Dao Palace, the moment he reached in, streams of divine light came flying out one after another, auspicious radiance swirling, mist and haze permeating the space.

“A Water-Repelling Pearl!”

“And a Fire-Repelling Pearl!”

Both were astonished. Such pearls, if released into the world, would have men breaking their skulls fighting over them.

“I truly don’t know how he ever came by these — water and fire cannot touch them, and they are rarely found in this world.”

Neither pearl had been refined into a weapon, yet both were priceless and extraordinarily rare — the finest sacred forging materials one could hope to find, impossible to seek out.

Dongfang Ye picked them up, looked them over, and appeared unsatisfied, tossing them back to the ground. His eyes had locked onto a bronze lamp — mottled with rust and age, a faint weak flame flickering within.

“Demonic script!” Ye Fan was startled. Even through the corrosion, three ancient characters were visible on the base of the lamp — shaped like dragons and phoenixes, strange and mysterious.

“It looks as though it has been buried underground for many years, yet a terrifying aura still seeps from it — this must be a sacred object.” Princess Yudie took it and examined it.

“Heavenly Demon Lamp!” The barbarian actually recognized the three ancient characters and read them aloud without thinking.

“What — this is a relic of the Heavenly Demon?” Ye Fan was startled. In the Eastern Wilderness, the Heavenly Demon Physique meant the sovereign of the demonic clan — the equivalent of the Divine King of the Eastern Wilderness’s human race.

“It’s a pity about this lamp — it has been buried underground for at least thirty thousand years. It came close to being destroyed by time.” Ye Fan lamented.

“Nurturing it anew from this point forward, it may yet recover. This is a relic of the Heavenly Demon — it cannot be measured by the standards of ordinary weapons.” Princess Yudie shook her head.

“I want this Heavenly Demon Lamp.” Dongfang Ye spoke up. In the end, the bronze lamp fell into his hands, and he put it away with the utmost care and reverence.

Duan De’s Dao Palace also housed several dozen weapons, with the Heavenly Demon Lamp serving as the palace’s cornerstone treasure — a divine object of peerless sovereign rank that would most likely be restored to full power someday.

The remaining several dozen treasures were divided between Ye Fan and Princess Yudie, each piece worthy of prized collection.

One could well imagine just how immense Duan De’s personal fortune was — every secret realm on his body harbored a sovereign-level divine weapon as its cornerstone treasure.

They continued searching after that, but found nothing more. The fat fellow’s person had been cleared of treasures, though Princess Yudie and Dongfang Ye were already more than satisfied.

All three fixed their eyes on Duan De’s forehead. More sacred objects were most likely stored within — but touching this area carried a high risk of waking him.

“No matter — add nine more layers of seals, and he definitely won’t wake up!”

Then Ye Fan personally went to work. He extended a thread of divine sense and entered through the man’s forehead to search for sacred objects. The moment he entered, he was horrified — a terrifying pressure washed over him.

“It’s that broken bowl!”

He was deeply shaken. A broken bowl floated there, inhaling and exhaling the cosmic star fields, its interior unfathomably deep — like a vast stellar domain — radiating a supreme and overwhelming pressure that made one feel an irresistible urge to kneel.

Based on the Black Emperor’s speculation, this bowl had been sealed away, yet it still emitted these heart-trembling fluctuations. It was difficult to imagine what manner of weapon this truly was.

Could it really be a damaged, sealed Great Emperor’s Sacred Weapon? The thought surfaced unbidden in Ye Fan’s mind.

Beside the broken bowl stood a jade tree bearing seven different leaves, each one distinct. His heart immediately surged with excitement — this had to be the Undying Wondrous Tree.

On the other side of the broken bowl was a treasure basin, within which rested a wealth of items shimmering in five brilliant colors. Among them, a sword bearing the engraved characters “King of the Underworld” was particularly striking, alongside an ancient whip shaped like a coiling horned dragon — also clearly no ordinary thing.

“Peerless Sovereign-level divine weapons!”

Ye Fan was astonished. That treasure basin held at least two or three weapons no inferior to the Nine Divine Weapons or the Heavenly Demon Lamp. This dead fatty truly was a living, breathing treasure vault.

He did not linger long. Ye Fan withdrew, and in his hand appeared a tender branch slightly over half a foot in length, flowing with seven-colored radiance, its seven leaves each of a different color — the Undying Wondrous Tree itself.

“There’s a broken bowl inside, and a treasure-gathering basin — but neither of them can be brought out!”

“Let me try.” Dongfang Ye concentrated, a divine rainbow shooting from his brow and entering the fatty’s body to begin searching. Before long, however, he withdrew — his body shuddering violently, retreating several staggering steps.

“Within that broken bowl… there is another heaven and earth. Sealed within is a world-shaking immortal treasure. I suspect…” The barbarian could not bring himself to finish the thought. His suspicion was that the very least it could be was a weapon of an ancient Saint — and if it were something more powerful than that, the implications were simply too terrifying to voice.

Princess Yudie also ventured inside to explore, and was equally sent reeling back, her face pale with shock. “That broken bowl… is frightening beyond words.”

After the three of them analyzed the situation, they concluded that some supremely powerful figure had once assisted the fatty in sealing this broken bowl and concealing it within his forehead — making it nearly impossible to dislodge.

“Duan De himself can wield it, but managing even one tenth of its power would be impressive.”

“Then doesn’t that mean he has some utterly terrifying backer behind him?”

“No — that bowl must be taken out no matter what!”

“That broken bowl is likely connected to his mind and spirit. Even if we extract it, refining it won’t be easy.”

“Never mind all that — take it out first and worry about the rest later!”

They persisted tenaciously, sparing no effort, until they finally dislodged the broken bowl — and at the same time dragged out the treasure basin that was nearly fused to it.

That bowl had definitely been sealed — with no fewer than several dozen layers of seals!

All three were seized with dread and awe. Not even dozens of layers of seals could fully contain its aura — the pressure they struggled to bear felt like facing an Archaic Sovereign stirring from slumber.

“We can’t control what’s inside that broken bowl!”

They helplessly acknowledged this fact, setting it aside and turning their attention to the five-colored jade basin, within which divine light flowed and misty vapors swirled.

“There are many treasure-gathering basins in the world, but all are imitations. This couldn’t actually be the genuine article, could it?” Princess Yudie harbored serious doubts about this possibility.

“This treasure basin can’t be opened.” Dongfang Ye frowned, and no matter what he tried, the jade basin would not open — it too had been sealed, and the seal was extraordinarily solid.

Yet one could see clearly the weapons within, each extraordinary and wondrous — undoubtedly the dead fatty’s prized collection, not yet refined.

“How many Imperial Sovereign tombs and Divine King mausoleums has Duan De actually plundered? His personal wealth surpasses even a Sacred Sovereign by countless times — not even a true Immortal Palace would compare.” Ye Fan marveled.

Then he broke into a smile. This time, they had truly plundered Duan De down to nothing — not even a single hair had been left to him.

“Let’s leave this place for now and think things over. We’ll work out a solution slowly.” Ye Fan took the lead, sweeping up the Undying Wondrous Tree. The fact that Duan De had kept it stored within his own forehead spoke volumes about how much he valued it.

Ye Fan, Yudie, and Dongfang Ye rose, taking the broken bowl and the treasure-gathering basin and flying away, disappearing in an instant into the boundless mountain ranges, where they found an ancient cave to hide within.

“I’ve already set up formation inscriptions here — that dead fatty absolutely cannot detect this place. You two stay hidden while I go take a look outside.” The formation inscriptions Ye Fan had laid down were of course those jade pieces the Black Emperor had given him.

“Surely you don’t have some mischievous urge to go watch that fatty throw a fit?” Yudie smiled knowingly, her hair glossy black, her eyes pure and luminous, lashes dense and long, lips rosy and teeth like pearls, an immortal constitution with divine bones — beautiful enough to set the heart adrift.

Ye Fan coughed. He truly was feeling a touch mischievous — he wanted to see what Duan De looked like upon waking, whether he’d be fuming from all seven orifices.

“Let’s go — I’ll come with you to watch.” The barbarian was equally enthusiastic, and hefted his spiked club as they set out together.

The two of them used a secret technique to conceal their auras, hiding on a mountain peak several li away, watching from a distance. They waited quite a long while before Duan De finally regained consciousness.

“This fatty is truly formidable — we sealed his entire body, and yet another person would be unconscious for several days.” Dongfang Ye marveled.

The fat fellow was clearly still somewhat dazed, swaying unsteadily to his feet, then freezing in sudden realization — he had discovered that his entire body had nothing left but a pair of underpants.

“Scream then — scream as loud as you can!” The barbarian was shameless in his anticipation, voicing this sentiment aloud.
