Deep within the mountain forest, a burly young man, bare on his right arm and shoulder, wearing beast-hide battle garb on his lower body, gripped a fang-toothed war club in his hand, growling low like a wounded beast as he charged toward the ancient village.
“Who dares attack our village…” He carried a wild dragon over ten yards long across his shoulders, treading across stone cliffs as though walking on flat ground, arriving swiftly at the scene.
Ye Fan was momentarily stunned. Gazing over, this person bore such a striking resemblance to the wild man of old, as though seeing Dongfang Ye from years ago—the same wild, untamed vigor, the same powerful, imposing build.
Li Tian happened to be wandering just outside the village, not yet understanding what had happened, when this young man arrived right before him, one hand swinging the fang-toothed club, the other striking forward.
In that instant, Li Tian bared his teeth in pain, his entire arm nearly breaking, streaks of blood appearing—fortunately he had retreated quickly, only grazing the blow, not taking it head-on, or half his body might have been smashed to pieces.
“Man’er, don’t be rude—this is our benefactor.” The village’s Fifth and Seventh Granduncles hurried over.
Dongfang Man appeared to be in his twenties, his bare upper body rippling with muscle like coiling dragons, his skin bronze, powerfully built, his thick black hair flowing down to his waist, possessing a wild, masculine beauty.
“You must be Dongfang Ye’s younger brother?” Ye Fan approached as well, sizing up this young man—he truly did resemble his old friend from years past.
“Like a primordial savage beast taken human form.” Li Tian bared his teeth, saying this. His combat strength was extraordinary, able to look down upon sect leaders, yet in direct physical combat he had been utterly defeated by this wild man.
This was naturally a misunderstanding—Dongfang Man had been out hunting, and upon hearing along the way that trouble had struck the village, had rushed back with reddened eyes, running straight into Li Tian and mistaking him for an enemy.
Within the ancient village, Dongfang Ye and Dongfang Man were a unique pair, possessing an extremely rare wild ancient battle bloodline, with strength that could move mountains, their physical bodies far surpassing ordinary people—unmatched by anyone save the Sacred Body.
These two brothers cultivated the same technique, having grown up in the same environment, often venturing deep into the mountain forests, sometimes gone for ten days or half a month, feeding on wild dragon and fierce tiger meat, refining a body of savage martial arts.
A crimson glow flashed in Ye Fan’s hand, and a war spear appeared, forged from blood diamond, with nine true dragons coiled around the shaft, lifelike, their nine heads gathered at the front, together spitting forth a sharp, crystalline spearhead.
Dongfang Man, quite embarrassed, scratched his head and stepped forward to apologize, then eagerly accepted this heavy gift, unwilling to let it go.
The village elders all gasped in astonishment—they were all people who knew their treasures, and this gift was far too precious.
This weapon was forged from blood diamond found within Nine Heavens Divine Jade—the preferred material for forging weapons of kings, indestructible and eternal, capable of growing into a sage’s weapon. Ye Fan had seized it from the Nine-Headed Flood Dragon King in the Purple Micro Star Region.
“I will avenge my brother—I’ll kill that Zi Tiandu!” Dongfang Man swore, his hair disheveled.
“I believe Ye’er is not dead…” The village’s Seventh Granduncle’s eyes clouded with a hint of gloom; the wild man had been personally raised and trained by him.
“We cannot stay in this place any longer—perhaps it’s time to return to the clan.” the Fifth Granduncle said.
Deep within this mountain range lived an ancient tribe, descendants of several ancient sages from primordial times, a clan whose members were all extremely powerful and fierce, cultivating an ancient savage martial scripture—an unknown, formidable tribe hidden from the world.
This small village had once been part of that tribe, but generations ago, due to a dispute over pride, had broken away. The greater tribe had invited them back many times since.
“Roar…”
From afar came a long howl, shaking the mountains. Seven or eight old men, their hair wild as untended grass, bare-chested, wearing beast-hide clothing, some gripping fang-toothed war clubs, others swinging great axes, roared like a pack of demon gods, rushing over, shaking every mountain range to its foundation.
“Who the hell dares bully our clansmen—come the hell out right now!”
“Where is everyone, old men have arrived. Get your asses out here, or we’ll rip off your heads and kick them around like balls!”
This was a group of extremely fierce old men, more ferocious than young men, charging over like an army of a million, utterly overwhelming.
Clearly this was a group of wild men, dressed similarly to the villagers here, but even more untamed, glaring wide-eyed, howling like madmen.
Just moments ago they had been speaking of that ancient tribe, and now, unexpectedly, they had arrived—each with disheveled hair, wild beyond measure.
This left Li Tian and Yan Yixi utterly dumbfounded—this group of old men was simply too fierce, waving their clubs and howling like ancient war demons reborn.
“Where is everyone, where are those bastards, we’ve come to kill!” the group of old men shouted.
Everyone in the ancient village was deeply moved, even the eyes of the Fifth, Seventh, and Ninth Granduncles reddening, their resolve to return to the clan now firm.
“Fifth, Seventh, Ninth, don’t blame me for saying this, but can our clan really let itself be bullied to this extent? Those bastards who dared come to kill our people must be tired of living—this isn’t over. Even if it’s the Central Continent’s divine dynasty, this time we’ll overturn them too!”
“Right, kill them dead, beat every drop of yellow bile out of them!”
These seven or eight old men who had come rushing over left even the younger generation stunned, each one utterly wild and unrestrained.
“We got word and rushed over here like our pants were on fire. Now tell us—who did this heartless deed? Today we’ll rush over there and turn them upside down, not leave a single one alive!”
Not just the villagers, but even Ye Fan, Yan Yixi, and Li Tian all felt warmth in their hearts, their blood boiling—these old men were wild, but truly heartfelt, leaving no sense of distance between them.
“Kill!”
“Where are those bastards, don’t let a single one escape, kill!”
Suddenly, across every mountain, figures appeared everywhere, like waves upon waves of mighty demons capable of calling wind and summoning the moon, shaking the very heavens and earth.
Countless wild tribal warriors, clad in beast hides, wielding great clubs, surged in from all directions, filling the sky, their powerful presence making every mountain tremble, terrifying beyond words.
Seeing this scene, even Ye Fan felt his scalp tingle—this was a group of ancient wild warriors surviving from primordial times, gathered together, utterly terrifying.
That fighting spirit shot straight into the clouds, shredding the clouds of all directions—any expert witnessing it would feel their hearts tremble with fear.
Li Tian’s scalp prickled, goosebumps rising all over his body, feeling utterly intimidated. He nudged Ye Fan and whispered, “I’m telling you, the people of the Big Dipper Star Region are just too monstrous. Even a primitive tribe is this powerful—how am I supposed to make a name for myself here, let alone spread my tradition across the world? I might as well have stayed peacefully in the Purple Micro Star Region. These people are truly a bunch of living ancestors.”
“What do you mean, a primitive tribe? In ancient times the entirety of Nanling belonged to our wild tribe’s domain. If not for honoring our ancestors’ teachings and later retreating into seclusion in the mountains, who would we fear!” an old man said, his hair disheveled, eyes wide, muscles bulging like a wild dragon, leaning on his great club.
No one knew how many had arrived at this place. The villagers could not help but let tears of gratitude fall—this was blood-deep kinship, and returning to the greater clan had become inevitable.
“So many years, and finally the clan produced two treasured children bearing the wild ancient battle bloodline, all living right here in your village—you should have returned long ago…”
One old man began scolding the village’s Fifth and Seventh Granduncles, nearly overwhelming them with reproach, yet his eyes burned with passionate care as he grasped Dongfang Man’s hand, that fervent affection making the wild man’s younger brother deeply uncomfortable.
“Where is your elder brother?” a group of old men asked Dongfang Man.
“My brother may have died in battle a few months ago.” Dongfang Man said quietly.
“Damn it, who did this? Was it that group of bastards just now? Gather everyone, let’s go deal with them!”
“We’ve lived hidden in these mountains, cut off from the outside world, at peace with all—yet we’ve been bullied to this extent?”
“Kill them, damn them all to hell!”
The group of old men grew agitated at once, swinging their great clubs as though they might punch a hole straight through the sky.
“So many generations, and finally we produced two children bearing the wild ancient battle bloodline—such a rare constitution—and now one of them has already died? I curse their ancestors!”
Fierce, wild, domineering, unrestrained—this group of old men truly seemed like reincarnated ancient war demons, howling and roaring.
The villagers had originally felt some estrangement from the greater tribe, but in this moment it all dissolved in the wind, ready to merge back into one.
“We’ve been hidden away for far too long, completely cut off from the outside world—not even knowing something this significant had happened. We’ve failed our ancestors.”
The tribal elders beat their chests in anguish, righteous indignation written across their faces. Upon learning this had been the doing of the Northern Plains Wang Family, they immediately resolved to strike back.
“Dig them out three feet deep, stomp even their unhatched mouse pups to death—how dare they bully our clansmen!”
“Move now, gather all the clan’s finest warriors, exterminate their entire family.”
“Beat every last drop of yellow bile out of them—whatever damned Wang Family, whatever supposed immortal inheritance, overturn and kill them all!”
…
Li Tian clicked his tongue and said, “What a bunch of fierce fellows, damn, even I feel my blood boiling—I really want to charge in there with you. These old geezers are just too fierce!”
“Since you elders wish to take action and march on the Northern Plains, I am willing to go through fire and water, fighting at the very front.” Ye Fan declared.
Then he offered his own perspective—if they truly wished to deal with the Wang Family, they needed to prepare thoroughly, for this was, after all, an ancient clan that had produced a human sage, with a long and formidable lineage.
“This young man is right. If we’re going to kill, let’s not leave a single one alive. They wanted to bathe our clan in blood—this time, let’s plan carefully and wipe out this damned clan entirely!” one old man said.
Though they were bold and heroic by nature, they were not entirely reckless—having lived so many years, many of them had seen everything there was to see; what didn’t they understand?
“Right, let’s plan this well and wipe them all out in one battle!” another old man said, swinging his stone axe.
Ye Fan said, “Elders, your tribe has been cut off from the world—now is the perfect time to prepare at leisure. I’ll go draw their attention in the outside world, and once everything is ready, we’ll charge into the Northern Plains like heavenly soldiers and destroy the Wang Family!”
“Young man, what do you intend to do?” one old man asked.
Ye Fan said, “The Wang Family’s clan head has come to Nanling, currently a guest at the Demon Sovereign Hall. I’m going to kill him!”
“What? This Wang bastard is in our Nanling? The Demon Sovereign Hall is a very dangerous place—gather people at once and go tear him apart alive.” These people immediately clamored, unable to sit still.
“There’s no need for you elders to trouble yourselves over a mere Wang Family clan head. I alone am enough to take his head.” Ye Fan spoke with absolute certainty, his words resolute and firm.
“Excellent—a hero rises from among the young!”
“Elders, please just gather your forces and prepare for the great campaign into the Northern Plains to destroy the Wang Family. I’ll go take the head of their clan leader.” Ye Fan said, then departed at once, heading alone for the Demon Sovereign Hall.
“Damn it, my fighting blood is boiling too—finally it’s my turn to take the stage. But first, I suppose I’ll go with young Ye to the Demon Sovereign Hall to kill someone.” Li Tian howled with excitement.
