“No…” The Killing Saint of the Mortal Realm roared hoarsely, struggling with all his might, but his body was still shattering, split apart by the great calamity of heaven and earth, flesh and blood scattering everywhere, bones exposed white and stark.
Within the sea of thunder, ever more blazing lights danced about — these were the various great tribulations of Greater Yin, Greater Yang, the Five Elements, Chaos, and more. There were also towering celestial gates rising and sinking, condensed from lightning itself.
Ye Fan, the Monkey, and Ji Zi were crossing their tribulations together, and the heavenly punishment they drew down could be called unprecedented in the world — never before had this realm witnessed such terrifying bolts of lightning.
Three Imperial Sons were drawing down heavenly punishment; the strange omens shook all the heavens, the lightning pierced through past and present, illuminating an eternal immortal radiance.
This was not a tribulation for becoming a Sage, yet it was no less fierce than a Sage’s tribulation — it had already blasted the Killing Saint’s body apart several times over, and he could not escape it.
As for that skeletal frame, the divine flame within its skull was finally growing dimmer and dimmer, its spirit and form on the verge of complete annihilation.
The two powerhouses of the Ancient Divine Dynasty were powerless to reverse the situation, suffering even more than Ye Fan and the others, for they faced three kinds of heavenly punishment at once!
“Ah…” The Killing Saint screamed, determined to drag an Imperial Son down with him even in death.
Unfortunately, he could not have his wish. The wondrous techniques of the Mortal Realm hidden within the mundane world could not be unleashed here; there was nowhere to hide, and in an instant he would be struck out by heavenly punishment.
Ji Zi’s body was covered in bloodstains — it was naturally impossible to remain unscathed amid heavenly tribulation — but he was in no serious danger. A single strike of the Void’s Great Rupture Slash caused heaven and earth to lose their color, and phantom images of gods and demons roared with fury, tearing that skeletal frame apart.
“Aoooh…” This was an enormous roar that spread across the shattered land of chaotic immortal soil; some people were shaken so badly their bodies exploded outright, turning into mist of blood.
A Sage’s body had been torn apart — this was a war to seal a Sage, and Ji Zi’s tribulation crossing was about to reach perfection, showing that his strength could rival that of a Sage!
Everyone’s mouths and tongues went dry — an Imperial Son-level figure had risen, proclaiming his strength and extraordinary nature. From this point on, the world would have one more towering figure that could not be ignored.
On the other side, the Sage Emperor’s Son roared, unleashing a divine power that manifested his form across heaven and earth, standing tall between sky and earth, grown countless times larger, surpassing even massive mountains.
This was an enormous golden sacred ape, every strand of its fur gleaming with brilliant light, dazzling to behold, its roar shaking the heavens and cracking the rivers and mountains. It held a massive black club capable of piercing the sky, standing in the sea of thunder, swinging down at the Killing Saint of the Mortal Realm.
The Killing Saint howled furiously — a hero at the end of his road. He had crawled his way up from mountains of corpses and seas of blood, but now he was utterly spent, dragging his body with exposed white bone, unleashing every secret technique he had, charging forward to kill.
“Crack!”
It was not a particularly loud sound that came, but flesh and blood shattered in pieces — the Killing Saint’s right arm and half his body caved in, then snapped off.
The Sage Emperor’s Son roared furiously, towering over heaven and earth at a height exceeding ten thousand zhang — this was a golden giant ape capable of plucking stars and seizing the moon, unleashing boundless might, gravely wounding an Ancient Sage.
People gasped in shock, especially the Ancient Clans, who felt as though they were witnessing once more, in a trance, the glorious years when the Fighting War Sage Emperor rose to power — their hearts trembled with fear.
Everyone knew that the Sage Emperor’s Son’s rise to power could not be stopped, and he had now advanced to Half-Sage, possessing strength capable of rivaling an Ancestral King!
“Let us perish together in flames!”
“All ten directions shall be destroyed!”
In the vast, ocean-like sea of thunder, the Killing Saint of the Mortal Realm and that skeletal frame let out cruel waves of spiritual consciousness — they knew their end had come, but still wished to drag someone down with them to accompany them in death.
Their bodies were shattered and broken, their primordial spirits suffering under the lightning strikes, utterly wretched, yet they transformed into two beams of light and charged forward, pouncing separately at Ji Zi and the Sage Emperor’s Son.
Everyone’s faces changed color — the Killing Saint was fighting with everything he had, unleashing the forbidden secret techniques of the mortal world. This was without doubt a great calamity; they were burning their very life imprints, capable of unleashing a shocking final strike.
“Retreat quickly!” people cried out in alarm from a distance.
A dying struggle, a cornered beast’s last fight — these are the most terrifying things. The slightest carelessness could plunge the original victor into an abyss from which there was no return.
Ye Fan made his move, standing firm in the void, his black hair flowing like a waterfall, his body receiving the baptism of thunder. A flash of light shone from between his brows, and a small golden figure emerged, embracing a cauldron, reaching the absolute pinnacle of speed.
The utmost sublimation!
Breaking free from the confines of the physical shell, surging forth from his divine form, shedding the mortal husk — this was another transformation of the Dao, the fusion of primordial spirit with Dao, a single strike while embracing the cauldron.
Time seemed to freeze; space could not stand in its way. The golden figure became the sole existence in heaven and earth, drawing the gaze of everyone present.
“Puff!”
This strike astonished the world, displaying the bearing of a member of the human race’s Sacred Body who could one day contend for supremacy on the road to becoming an Emperor!
The flame of the primordial spirit flying out from the skeletal frame was smashed by the golden figure’s cauldron strike, shattering into pieces on the spot, unable to withstand this blow.
“Aoooh…”
That mass of divine flame raged with fury, yet also felt terror, wailing and screaming, struggling in its final death throes — yet to no avail.
The cauldron of the golden figure poured down thousands of strands of maternal energy, rapidly expanding, and pressed down once more, leaving no suspense whatsoever, smashing it into scattered ash!
“Dead — a Sage’s primordial spirit was just annihilated like that…” Everyone was shocked, all of them gaping, speechless.
The Cauldron of All Things’ Maternal Energy crossed the tribulation together with Ye Fan, at the same realm, and had now given birth to a divine will within the sea of thunder, its power boundless.
It always remained at the same realm as Ye Fan, having reached the Half-Sage realm, able to fight Sages just like its master. Made from immortal material that only ancient Great Emperors could possess, forged into a cauldron over many years, its power was boundless.
“A Half-Sage artifact, Half-Sage… possessing the Half-Sage barrier… yet able to slay Sages…”
Many among the Ancient Clans turned pale as snow — the third Imperial Son-level figure had, at this very moment, proclaimed his strength to the world, rising fiercely with none able to stand against him!
On the other side, the primordial spirit of the Killing Saint of the Mortal Realm pounced toward the Monkey like a streak of flowing light, ferocious and vicious, determined to drag him down.
“I have been gravely wounded by heavenly tribulation, my strength less than fifty percent of my peak, but dragging down one of you three should still be no problem!”
This was a kind of unyielding resentment, containing boundless grievance, wanting to make the Sage Emperor’s Son accompany him in death!
Yet the result was beyond expectation — Ye Fan, though acting later, arrived first. After killing that mass of divine flame, a divine hide appeared beneath the golden figure, carrying him as though reversing the flow of time, moving upstream along the river of time, blocking the Killing Saint’s path.
Fast beyond belief, leaving people unable to react in time.
This was the Book of Time, recording the ancient legacy passed down from the Heavenly Court, a divine hide that Ye Fan had brought out from the Undying Mountain.
Densely covered with tiny characters, at this moment they all transformed into runes, blooming outward, branding themselves into the void, protecting Ye Fan at the center.
Every character shone with brilliant splendor, as though forged from divine gold, each one gleaming, each character weighty as a mountain, truly astonishing.
The golden figure sat cross-legged upon this divine hide, the Cauldron of All Things’ Maternal Energy floating free of its embrace, suspended above his head, advancing together with him, and in his hand appeared another weapon.
“The Supreme Scepter of the Heavenly Court!”
The Killing Saint of the Mortal Realm cried out, seeming utterly terrified — this golden scepter had once brought endless oppressive might to the two great Divine Dynasties, shaking the world in ages past.
This was a weapon that only a Great Sage could wield; others could not use it. But he seemed to have forgotten — he only remembered its nightmarish might from over a hundred thousand years ago.
“Hiss!”
The golden scepter split the Killing Saint’s primordial spirit in two, showing no particularly special power — it was simply, purely, indestructibly solid.
“Puff!”
Another weapon appeared in Ye Fan’s hand — it was the Whip That Strikes Gods, a weapon specifically designed for slaying primordial spirits, tearing this Killing Saint’s spiritual consciousness into shreds.
“Ah…” The Killing Saint of the Mortal Realm screamed miserably.
Above Ye Fan’s head, the Cauldron of All Things’ Maternal Energy trembled, pouring down ribbon-like strands of Dao’s maternal energy, grinding the already terror-stricken fragments of the Killing God’s primordial spirit into fine powder.
Everything that happened occurred in the span of a spark — people wanted to stop it but could not; it was too fast. The Book of Time made the golden figure seem to pierce through the shackles of space and time.
One divine treasure after another was displayed, unleashing both awe-inspiring might and divine power in turn, leaving this Killing Saint with nothing but unwilling resentment as he drank his final cup of bitterness.
Dead. A Killing Saint capable of slaying Sages had thus met his end, dying within the heavenly tribulation.
Silence fell far and near — only that enormous thunder tribulation continued, within that curtain of light three figures like gods or demons stood tall, radiating an undying aura.
Two Killing Saint-level beings had just been killed by three Half-Sages like this — what kind of news was this? If it got out, it would drive people mad.
The Half-Sage barrier — it could not stop their advance!
“Why did you steal my enemy?” the Sage Ape’s Son complained, displeased.
The three of them stood unmoving as mountains, each with a small figure sitting cross-legged before their brow, receiving the baptism of lightning, until finally they were gulping it down like whales drinking, drawing the ocean-like sea of thunder into their mouths.
The three Imperial Sons remained perfectly still, sublimating within the ocean of lightning, thoroughly transforming their constitutions and primordial spirits, undergoing tempering.
In the distance, the Great Sage of Qianlun’s eyes flickered; behind him several Ancestral Kings made no effort to hide their killing intent. Once figures like these grew to maturity, they would become impossible to confront!
The final option was to kill them immediately, but they had no chance to act — above the head of Great Sage Wei Yi, the aura of an ancient Great Emperor filled the air, beams of light stretching for hundreds of millions of strands, illuminating a bright expanse of heaven, making even the star domains tremble.
That ancient mirror was engraved with the supreme dignity of a primordial Great Emperor, carrying an invincible Dao fruit, and had now awakened. Who dared act rashly?
The Mirror of the Void radiated splendor in all directions, like a precious wheel, or like the bright moon hanging in the sky, its ribbon-like strands draping down to envelop the old Sage entirely, reflecting him as though he were a deity.
“The human race is truly awe-inspiring…” the Great Sage of Qianlun sighed, the Myriad Dragon Bell before him slowly stirring, as though a true dragon had descended into the world, the aura of an ancient Emperor’s Dao filling the air!
One Gai Jiuyou had already departed, and now another Wei Yi had appeared — a true Great Sage in every sense, wielding the Mirror of the Void. Who could speak lightly of suppressing and killing him?
“If Fellow Daoist wishes to discuss the Dao, let us go deep into the starry void,” Wei Yi said.
“Very well, let us compare our strength,” the Great Sage of Qianlun nodded, vanishing together with the several Ancestral Kings behind him, transforming into streams of light, disappearing into the depths of the dark universe.
Before Wei Yi and the other Sages departed, they fixed their gaze upon that King of Killing Saints — this person, skin stretched over bone, his expression drastically changed, also charged into the depths of the universe.
Once these great figures departed, people finally let out a long breath — this had been a monumental calamity of killing, and no one had expected it to draw out these legendary Ancient Sages.
“Boom!”
One final thunderous roar sounded, and the lightning that filled the sky dispersed. Ye Fan, Ji Zi, and the Sage Emperor’s Son had successfully crossed their tribulation, and the heavenly punishment vanished.
Everyone was brimming with vigorous blood energy, spirits high, madly devouring the surrounding life essence to replenish their energy.
Elsewhere, the Killing Saint Qi Luo, brilliant beyond compare, had fought to the death against the Killing Saint of Hell who had attained the Dao a thousand years before him, cutting off his head, and was now examining the shattered spiritual consciousness within his skull.
Through this, he glimpsed part of the life trajectory of his own biological son, and immediately began weeping and laughing at once, hair disheveled, an expression of profound grief on his face, unable to hold back a great roar toward the heavens.
