Qitian City sat amid vast mountains and wilderness, majestic and towering, its walls covered in axe marks and arrow holes, along with claw marks left behind by primordial fierce beasts — like a living history, telling of countless past events.
All around, apes howled and tigers roared, wild and untamed beasts roaming freely. Mountain ranges coiled like ancient dragons, ancient forests dense and wolf-infested.
Qitian City and its surrounding wilderness were not situated upon any planet — this was a continent floating within the starry sky, full of vitality, mountains towering majestically, starlight scattering down upon it, making it appear mysterious and weathered, eternal through the ages.
A long howl rang out, and clouds stirred in all directions, many mountain peaks collapsing from the force. A figure tore through the void, charging toward Qitian City, its massive body seemingly forged from molten iron, powerful and vigorous, possessing an almost metallic quality.
Wherever he passed, the void twisted, mountain peaks collapsed, ancient trees shattered, rocks crumbled and clouds scattered — like an unstoppable god of destruction, nothing able to block his path.
“The Tyrant King is here!” someone in Qitian City cried out in alarm. That ripple of power was too terrifying, blanketing everything like a vast ocean crashing down, making even the ancient city shake violently.
“It’s really the Tyrant King — he’s incredibly fast!” Some people in the city felt their bodies grow cold, oppressed by a powerful aura, nearly unable to stop themselves from convulsing.
Suddenly, within Qitian City, demonic energy soared skyward from an ancient mountain, boundless divine light piercing the heavens, and an ancient Demon Emperor’s palace emerged, as majestic and grand as the ancient Celestial Court itself.
A divine manifestation materialized, reaching up to the nine heavens and down to subdue the nine netherworlds, appearing out of thin air, standing above the mortal world — his black hair cascaded like a waterfall, his eyes holding the rise and fall of sun and moon, the annihilation and rebirth of stellar rivers, like a demon god descending.
“Are you the Southern Demon? Whoever blocks my path dies!” A dignified voice came from outside the ancient city, full of oppressive force, an indescribable dominance, tyrannical beyond compare, something no one could defy.
The Tyrant King had arrived, charging from deep within the starry sky, on his way to the human race’s Fiftieth City to face the Sacred Body in a decisive battle. He would inevitably pass through here, intending to kill the Southern Demon along the way.
Within the city, in an ancient structure atop a mountain, a stunningly beautiful woman showed a flash of nervousness, looking at her elder brother. “Are you really going to fight him?”
These were the Southern Demon siblings, who had once provoked the Tyrant King.
The Southern Demon stood like a deity from a mythical age, hair scattered loose, skin the color of ancient bronze, body powerful as a dragon, eyes shooting out startling light as he stared toward the city’s exterior.
“You may not go out.”
Just then, an old, weathered voice came through. In an ancient hall, an elder with snow-white hair, decayed flesh, and wrinkles piled deep opened his eyes — like two bolts of lightning flashing, his pupils astonishing like golden lamps. Despite his aged appearance, his spirit remained sharp, his vital essence abundant.
As his words finished, the entire ancient mountain became enveloped in a powerful ripple, demonic energy spreading, sealing the mountain body, forcing the demon god manifestation — reaching to the nine heavens and subduing the nine netherworlds — to withdraw.
This was an ancient demon of immeasurable strength, incredibly powerful, unfathomably deep. It was he who had come to the human race’s ancient road for discussions, and had unexpectedly discovered the Southern Demon siblings, intending to take them away.
The Southern Demon fell silent, staring at the edge of the horizon, where the Peerless Tyrant King radiated overwhelming ferocious might, sweeping across Qitian City.
“Your current cultivation realm isn’t sufficient — you cannot fight him in a decisive battle,” the ancient demon sitting in the hall said, eyes closed, refusing to let him leave the city.
“I only want to unleash a single strike,” the Southern Demon said.
The ancient demon still shook his head. Though not in the same hall, it was as if he could perceive everything, even others’ hearts and minds. “The one with the Heavenly Tyrant Blood flowing through him is not so easy to deal with. Back then, at the same cultivation realm, a near-Emperor of the demon race lineage once perished at his hands.”
“I want to unleash a Transformation of Heaven ancient technique,” the demon god said.
The ancient demon fell silent upon hearing this, seemingly deep in contemplation, saying nothing for a long while.
Suddenly, a strange ripple of energy passed through the city, and two figures shot skyward, flying toward the exterior of the city, entering the wild mountains and wilderness, actually intending to clash head-on with the Tyrant King.
These were powerful figures of the demon race from foreign lands, who had descended upon the human race’s ancient road together with the ancient demon. Their combat strength was shockingly powerful, and in recent days they had harbored hostility toward the Southern Demon. Because the ancient demon valued him so highly, these two — genuine geniuses of the demon race’s ancient road, of a higher cultivation realm than the Southern Demon, having accompanied their race’s paramount figure on this visit to the human race — found it unbearable that they were regarded less highly than the Southern Demon. They wanted to prove themselves, to confront and slay the human race’s Tyrant King.
Both at the Sage King realm, they possessed absolute confidence, having never yet tasted defeat. Walking the starry ancient road, they had been unstoppable everywhere they went.
“Come back!” the ancient demon shouted lowly, not expecting these two to act on their own.
Unfortunately, the two did not return. They firmly believed themselves stronger, convinced they were the chosen talents worthy of the demon race paramount’s selection, determined to prove themselves on the human race’s ancient road.
In truth, these two outstanding demon race talents were undoubtedly geniuses, rare even across many stellar domains — otherwise they wouldn’t have remained undefeated for so long.
One of them opened his mouth and let out a roar, releasing a river of stars, vast and white, an awe-inspiring sight. He had refined numerous stellar river divine sands, forming them into a treasure so precious that even a Great Sage would envy such material.
Nothing else needed be said — this shocking material alone spoke volumes.
Moreover, the might of this attack was truly shockingly powerful — the river of stars spanning the heavens, connecting to realms beyond, borrowing the power of countless heavenly bodies, becoming an eternal blaze of light.
“Does a grain of rice’s pearl dare shine its light too?” the Tyrant King sneered coldly, standing like a demon peak, majestic and towering, utterly unmoved. He waited until the stellar river’s assault arrived before letting out a single roar.
It was like an apocalyptic disaster, sweeping across the land, mountains collapsing, stars seeming to tremble, the vast river of stars scattering, blown apart by the Tyrant King’s roar alone, radiant light dispersing in wisps, scattering into the void.
“Ah…”
Simultaneously, this demon race genius screamed miserably, his body shattered, covered in blood, nearly torn apart entirely.
“Hum!”
The other demon race genius also struck, almost at the same moment, a jade gourd transforming into a mountain peak, its mouth like a black hole, intending to swallow the Tyrant King whole.
The jade gourd was entirely translucent, gleaming and radiant, truly a rare treasure, its brilliance spanning ten thousand feet.
Hun Zhan let out a cold snort, not regarding the Sage King-level artifact as anything significant at all, charging straight toward the black hole-like gourd mouth, extending his arm, swinging his tyrant fist, releasing immortal radiance beyond compare.
The gourd’s mouth was like a massive vortex, swallowing the Tyrant King, yet his fist was far too hard, smashing against the gourd’s inner wall, producing a sharp cracking sound.
This was the Azure Fallen Divine Jade among the Nine Heavens’ Divine Jades, forged into an immortal Sage King-grade gourd, yet it couldn’t withstand his physical body, shattered directly, his world-defying divine might evident.
“Poof!”
The gourd’s owner’s body split open, blood spilling out in wisps, his body swaying, nearly severed in two, sent flying backward.
“Just you demon race remnants dare to block my path? Not worth a single blow — daring to appear before me, I’ll wipe you all out completely,” the Tyrant King said coldly.
Everything had happened too suddenly — the two rare geniuses had been struck into serious injury with a single encounter, without even the slightest capital to resist, truly astonishing.
Rumble!
The Tyrant King struck, heaven and earth collapsing. Compared to those two, it was simply a difference between heaven and earth — their bodies fled backward at maximum speed under the shadow of his tyrant fist, yet were still grazed.
With two dull thuds, half their bodies rotted away, unable to withstand the Tyrant King, rendered nearly crippled, blood staining the long expanse of the sky red.
“Enough.”
Within Qitian City, the demon race paramount let out a cold snort, extending a massive hand forward to seize the Tyrant King, intending to stop him from harming the two further.
“Fellow Daoist, this is the human race’s ancient road.” Deep within the starry sky, a cold, clear voice suddenly emerged, sounding somewhat displeased, a massive cauldron manifesting, piercing through the universe, meeting that giant hand head-on, blocking its path.
With a rumble, as if heaven and earth collided, yin and yang thrown into chaos, mist of chaos scattering in all directions — this confrontation was terrifyingly powerful, a clash between Great Sage-level combatants.
“What — the Tyrant King has support from a human race Dao Guardian behind him? No wonder he was able to evade the other Dao Guardians, making his way all the way here.” Many within the city felt their hearts jolt with alarm.
This was an extremely clear signal — among the human race’s Dao Guardians, someone stood on the Tyrant King’s side, harboring bias, refusing to stop him from killing the Sacred Body — the consequences would be severe.
The Tyrant King remained utterly dominant, fearless of anything, even in the face of a demon race paramount, showing no retreat. He opened his mouth and inhaled, and the two great demon race powerhouses instantly shrank, swallowed into his mouth.
Blood splattered out — a truly brutal scene. He had directly devoured the two demon race geniuses whole, leaving nothing behind.
Silence fell over Qitian City!
“I have no intention of aiding the Heavenly Tyrant Blood lineage, but neither can I tolerate a demon race paramount making a move on our race’s ancient road,” the human race Dao Guardian’s voice transmitted through the starry sky.
Yet who could believe this? He was undoubtedly sheltering the Tyrant Body — thinking it through carefully, this amounted to supporting the Tyrant Body in killing the Sacred Body.
“How terrifying — what kind of formidable power is this, actually devouring two Sage Kings whole? They say those were two geniuses of the demon race!”
People were shaken. The talented ones who had accompanied the demon race paramount on this visit were naturally no ordinary figures, yet they had been swallowed whole by the Tyrant King, the trace of blood dripping from the corner of his mouth making people’s hearts turn cold.
Hum!
The ancient demon charged out, vanishing into the depths of the starry sky, and that great cauldron trembled, departing alongside him — the two Dao Guardians confronted one another.
And in that very moment, the Southern Demon shot skyward, black hair scattered loose, body powerful as a dragon, gleaming with ancient bronze radiance, carrying wisps of a demon god’s aura.
“Brother!” Qi Huoshui cried out in alarm from behind.
“Merely from the Emperor’s Burial Star, and you dare call yourselves supreme? I’ll kill every last one of you!” the Tyrant King said coldly.
“Clang,” “Clang”…
Imperial Blood Soil, Divine Phoenix Stone, Demon God Wood, and dozens upon hundreds of other rare and strange materials appeared, densely packed, forming an ancient formation that swallowed this stretch of heaven and earth.
“This is… such a terrifying demonic power!” The people in the city felt their hearts pound with terror, boundlessly frightened, many collapsing to their knees directly.
This was an ancient formation, modeled after the legendary Demon Emperor’s formation. The true Demon Emperor formation diagram had long since been lost in this age, but even this incomplete, restored version of the Dao patterns was equally terrifying.
The Peerless Tyrant King struck left and right, like a true dragon, shattering the heavens, cracking the continent below, as if bringing about the end of the world.
This fragmentary formation, imitating the Demon Emperor’s diagram, unleashed tremendous might nonetheless, capable of crushing all before it, refining even a peak Sage King into a puddle of pus and blood — its divine might truly awe-inspiring.
“Boom!”
Imperial Blood Soil, Divine Phoenix Stone, Demon God Wood, and dozens upon hundreds of rare formation materials all glowed brightly, trapping the Tyrant King, intending to grind him down before crushing the heavens — the killing formation, carrying the Tyrant King along, plunged into a dimensional space.
Within the city, people fell utterly silent. The mighty Tyrant King, unmatched and brilliant among his peers, hailed as a peerless heaven’s chosen one, had actually been subdued, pressed into the formation, whereabouts unknown — utterly shocking.
“Brother!” Qi Huoshui showed a flash of joy, never having imagined the Southern Demon could actually suppress the Tyrant King of the Heavenly Tyrant Blood lineage.
Everyone was stunned, everyone shaken — only the Southern Demon himself frowned, sighing softly: “With so many precious formation-refining materials, this can suppress him for at most three days.”
Indeed, only two days later, a loud boom rang out, a massive section of the universe’s space collapsing, and from that spot a demon-god-like existence charged forth — the Tyrant King had broken free directly.
The demon god sighed. “My cultivation realm isn’t as high as his — even unleashing the Transformation of Heaven ancient technique likely wouldn’t have been enough to hold him.”
“Those from the Emperor’s Burial Star — nothing more than that. I’ll kill every last one of you completely!” the Tyrant King said coldly.
However, his expression quickly changed, for three powerful ripples emerged — the demon race paramount, the human race Dao Guardian, and another — exerting tremendous deterrent pressure upon him.
The Tyrant King glanced back coldly, and in an instant vanished into the distance, his body emitting a faint glow, disappearing directly, as if piercing straight through the universe.
He possessed an artifact comparable to the Divine Light Platform, but no one knew exactly what it was.
“Truly remarkable — that artifact of his seems to carry the aura of a divine remnant thought!” the ancient demon finally concluded.
Divine remnant thought — said to be a malevolent will born from a deity’s death. In truth, it was likely the malevolent will that had formed after the Ancient Emperor’s death.
That the Tyrant King’s secret weapon carried the aura of a divine remnant thought was truly alarming.
Two human race Dao Guardians appeared here, along with a demon race paramount — this was truly a grand occasion, the aura they emitted enough to suffocate anyone.
“It’s getting more and more complicated — he’s obtained an ancient treasure left behind by a divine remnant thought!”
Having reached this conclusion, even the Dao Guardians felt a chill in their hearts. The artifact’s terrifying power was one matter, but this involved the mysterious existence of the divine remnant thought, necessarily connected to the deceased Ancient Emperor — whether this boded fortune or disaster was impossible to say.
“Intercept him at the human race’s Fiftieth City.”
“No, let’s watch and see first.”
“You want him to kill the Sacred Body, don’t you? I know you’re biased toward the Heavenly Tyrant Blood lineage!”
The two human race Dao Guardians were at odds with one another, holding vastly different attitudes toward the young supreme being of the Heavenly Tyrant Body lineage.
“Rumble!”
At the human race’s Fiftieth City, the heavens split open, and a demon-god-like black shadow charged out, then opened a jar-shaped artifact, from which a purple qilin came surging forth, terrifying aura piercing the heavens.
This entire stellar domain surged and stirred, rumbling loudly.
Looking closely, this purple creature was vastly different from an ordinary qilin beast — its entire body covered in crystalline scales without a single flaw, so powerful it made people tremble.
Its bloodline was pure, its cultivation profound, worthy of being called king among beasts, a future supreme being among beasts.
The Tyrant King sat astride the purple qilin, holding a blood-colored long spear, like a demon god from the underworld, his entire being radiating overwhelming might.
“Sacred Body, I have arrived — come and accept your death!”
His words rumbled, shaking the human race’s Fiftieth City violently, as if it were about to shatter, the surrounding stellar domain trembling and stirring along with it!
