Chapter 347: Exposed Whereabouts

Mu Yunjin pouted, thinking about how Master Murong had now secluded herself from the world, feeling somewhat wistful.

“Alright, let’s not talk about her anymore,” Wind Xuan Daoist sighed, standing up and walking to one side.

Mu Yunjin also rose and walked toward her small courtyard.

Upon returning to her room, perhaps because she now knew Chu Li’s whereabouts, Mu Yunjin felt much more at ease than in the previous two days. Gone was that feeling of restlessness and loss of appetite.

Soon, Mu Yunjin gradually fell asleep.

Mu Yunjin slept for a long time. When she woke up, she had slept from the previous afternoon until early the next morning.

At breakfast, Mu Yunjin sat at a small table eating her meal when she heard Qiqi mumbling something from afar. Qiqi drew closer and came into Mu Yunjin’s courtyard.

“What’s wrong with you?” Mu Yunjin looked up at Qiqi as soon as she entered.

Qiqi sat down in front of her, pouting with a frown. “I went out this morning and saw that Crown Prince from South Courtyard Kingdom, and that little Princess Yun Shuangleng.”

“Oh? Where did you see them?” Mu Yunjin raised an eyebrow.

“In the marketplace. They saw me too. Both of them surrounded me, asking about your whereabouts, but luckily I was clever and ran away quickly.” Qiqi cupped her cheeks, smiling at Mu Yunjin.

Mu Yunjin was slightly taken aback. “Did they say why they were looking for me?”

“Hmm…” Qiqi tilted her head and thought for a moment.

“That Prince Yun only said he had something to tell you. He didn’t say much else,” Qiqi answered.

Mu Yunjin nodded and continued eating her breakfast leisurely.

After finishing breakfast, Mu Yunjin thought carefully for a while and decided to go out.

“Qiqi, come with me for a while,” Mu Yunjin said, standing up and looking at Qiqi.

Qiqi nodded. “But I just saw Master Wind Xuan downstairs. Didn’t he forbid you from going out randomly these days?”

“That’s simple. Let’s have Granny Yu distract him first, and we’ll sneak out,” Mu Yunjin said while changing into more comfortable clothes.

“Great! Then I’ll go find Granny Yu first.” Qiqi finished speaking and ran outside.

Mu Yunjin, dressed and ready, walked down the mountainside, looked around, and not seeing Wind Xuan Daoist, quickened her pace downhill.

Qiqi was waiting for Mu Yunjin at the entrance of Phoenix Feather Pavilion. Seeing Mu Yunjin, she waved to her.

Mu Yunjin immediately ran over.

The two successfully left Phoenix Feather Pavilion.

After passing by the small stream, Mu Yunjin and Qiqi had barely taken a few steps when they encountered Yun Lianqing and Yun Shuangleng strolling nearby in the suburbs.

The brother and sister were dressed in red attire and a white dress, respectively, their appearances refined and otherworldly. Walking together, they were an xstunning sight.

Yun Lianqing and Yun Shuangleng also spotted Mu Yunjin at the same time. Both were slightly startled and quickly walked toward Mu Yunjin.

“Mu Yunjin, you finally decided to show up!” Yun Lianqing called out before even reaching her.

Mu Yunjin stood with her arms crossed, relaxed in posture. When Yun Lianqing and Yun Shuangleng approached, she smiled and nodded at Yun Shuangleng in greeting.

Seeing himself ignored by Mu Yunjin from the start, Yun Lianqing glanced at her unhappily and looked around the empty area. “Where did you pop out from?”

He and Yun Shuangleng had just been nearby, and in the blink of an eye, Mu Yunjin and this cat had appeared…

Remembering how they had vanished into thin air in the South Courtyard Kingdom a few days ago, Yun Lianqing couldn’t help but feel creeped out.

“Do you have something to discuss with me?” Mu Yunjin got straight to the point.

“Of course,” Yun Lianqing finished speaking and raised an eyebrow. “Let’s find a place to sit down and talk.”

At the Crystal Sky Teahouse.

After sitting down, Yun Shuangleng looked at Mu Yunjin, her eyes showing concern. “I’ve been busy with Feng Che’s recovery these past few days and didn’t know such big events had happened outside. Are you and Prince Ning alright?”

“We’re fine,” Mu Yunjin smiled at Yun Shuangleng.

Yun Shuangleng nodded and then glanced at Yun Lianqing. “I just happened to meet my royal brother. He said he wanted to find you, so I came along to see you.”

“Crown Prince Yun, what did you come all this way to say?” Hearing this, Mu Yunjin looked at Yun Lianqing with a smile.

Yun Lianqing leaned against his chair and snorted coldly. “This Crown Prince heard that your Prince Ning’s mansion was burned down and that you’re now under an arrest warrant from the Western Ming Emperor. That’s why I came to check.”

“Came to gloat?” Mu Yunjin picked up the thread.

“You shrew, can’t you think better of This Crown Prince?” Yun Lianqing was annoyed, his teeth itching with anger.

Mu Yunjin took a sip of tea. “Fine, then you’re here to discuss an alliance? I haven’t mentioned this to Chu Li yet.”

Hearing this, Yun Lianqing’s expression suddenly became a bit unnatural. After clearing his throat, his lips curled with amusement. “You’re wrong. This Crown Prince didn’t come to talk about an alliance.”

“This Crown Prince came to tell you that from now on, whether Prince Ning agrees or not, This Crown Prince is Prince Ning’s ally!”

Hearing these noble words, Mu Yunjin raised her eyebrows. “Are you playing out some deep brotherhood scenario?”

“Pfft…” Yun Lianqing spat out all the tea he had just drunk.

Mu Yunjin smiled faintly. “Why such a big reaction? Isn’t that the case?”

“…” Yun Lianqing choked and coughed without speaking.

“Princess Ning, Feng Che’s body has been recovering very well recently. He told me to find time to visit and thank you,” Yun Shuangleng curled her lips, changing the subject.

Mu Yunjin looked at Yun Shuangleng and noticed that her complexion was much better than before. She happily agreed, “That would be great!”

Just as the atmosphere among them had become extremely harmonious, sudden shouting sounds came from outside the window below—

“Ah…”

“Ahhh…”

Along with the shouts came some panicked screams.

Mu Yunjin frowned and immediately stood up to walk to the window, looking down.

Yun Lianqing and Yun Shuangleng also curiously walked over.

They saw a man in tattered clothes running on the street, his face filthy. Due to his injuries, every step he took left a bloody footprint on the ground.

“Yunjin, do you know where my Yunjin went?” The man suddenly grabbed a civilian’s collar, clutching it tightly.

The civilian was so frightened that he kept shaking his head.

“Oww… Yun… Yunjin…”

Seeing this figure, Mu Yunjin’s breath caught sharply, her pupils dilating.

Who had brought Qin Munan here?

At this moment, Qin Munan had lost all reason, running aimlessly through the streets, occasionally grabbing a passerby and immediately asking about Mu Yunjin’s whereabouts.

The civilians were so scared they scattered in all directions, not daring to get close to him.

“Isn’t that someone from the Qin family? What’s going on?” Yun Lianqing narrowed his eyes, seemingly having some impression of Qin Munan.

Yun Shuangleng was equally surprised. “He seems to have gone mad, with no sense of reason.”

Mu Yunjin held the railing with both hands, watching the scene on the street, her emotions complex, hesitating to act…

At that moment, a large group of Imperial Guards ran to the street, surrounding Qin Munan.

The lead Imperial Guard recognized Qin Munan. Seeing him, the guard looked surprised and tried to hold Qin Munan’s arm. “General Qin, why are you here? What happened?”

The Imperial Guard looked Qin Munan up and down.

“Where’s Yunjin? Have you seen Yunjin?” Qin Munan turned to the Imperial Guard, his tone urgent.

The Imperial Guard shook his head. “We haven’t found Princess Ning’s whereabouts.”

“Princess Ning? No… no…” Upon hearing the words “Princess Ning,” Qin Munan immediately clutched his head in pain.

Then, he began to lose control again, shouting, with true qi flowing from his palms, directed at the Imperial Guard.

At the same time, a guard from behind spoke up. “Chief, General Qin seems to have gone mad. Let’s knock him out and take him back!”

With those words, several Imperial Guards surrounded him.

Seeing this, Mu Yunjin narrowed her eyes and, without hesitation, flew out the window. Before the Imperial Guards could react, she had already grabbed Qin Munan and left the street with him.

“It’s Mu Yunjin! Quick, after her!” The Imperial Guards were startled, then chased in the direction Mu Yunjin had disappeared.

Yun Lianqing and the others were still standing by the window, watching the Imperial Guards chase madly in Mu Yunjin’s direction, their mouths falling open in shock.

“Meow, the master’s whereabouts have been exposed,” Qiqi called out sweetly, then flew out the window and followed.

Mu Yunjin was using her lightness skill, and those Imperial Guards on foot could never catch up with her pace. By the time the Imperial Guards barely managed to reach the outskirts, Mu Yunjin’s figure had long vanished without a trace.

“Mu Yunjin appeared in Zhangzhou City, so Prince Ning should also be here. Go report to the superiors, dispatch more men to Zhangzhou City, and also station more men at each exit. We cannot let suspicious people slip out of the city!” The Imperial Guard leader gave orders.

The rest of the Imperial Guards immediately nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, at Phoenix Feather Pavilion.

During the flight away, Qin Munan had fainted. Now, after bringing him into Phoenix Feather Pavilion, Mu Yunjin sat exhausted on the grass, panting.

Hua Ying examined Qin Munan’s injuries and frowned. “He is indeed poisoned. Look at his wrists and ankles where the iron chains bound him. When he went mad and couldn’t break free, they’re now worn raw with bone showing.”

After speaking, Hua Ying applied some medicine to Qin Munan’s wounds.

Wind Xuan Daoist approached and, seeing this scene, sighed. “This Qin boy is truly pitiful.”

“But girl, there’s gu poison in his body. Black Robe and his people can use the gu poison to find this place at any time. We should send him away first!” Wind Xuan said.

Mu Yunjin pressed her lips together and nodded, looking at the unconscious Qin Munan. “But in his condition, where would be the best place to send him?”

“To Pingfeng Cliff! Let Master Murong examine whether the gu poison can be cured,” Hua Ying suggested.

“Well…” Mu Yunjin agreed in her heart, but hesitated, turning her gaze toward Wind Xuan Daoist.

Being watched by her, Wind Xuan Daoist suddenly felt uncomfortable. After pondering for a moment, he said in a moderate tone, “Then I’ll reluctantly take him to Pingfeng Cliff!”

“Thank you, Master,” Mu Yunjin laughed.

“I’ll use the formless space to send Master Wind Xuan, and along the way, I can also monitor Young General Qin’s injuries at any time,” Hua Ying spoke up.

Mu Yunjin nodded. “That would be the best. It saves a lot of time.”

  1. This girl needs to be shackled to stop her from running around even possibly exposing her secret hq
    She behaves like a teenager!

    • She’s dumb and annoying. The writer of this novel wasted so much time describing her yawning, sleeping, pouting and eating. Those activities- tediously described multiple times in every chapter – do nothing to advance character development or plot. They’re just a lazy, repetitive theme that the author mistakenly thinks is giving personality to this boring FL.

    • Well, the body she’s inhabiting is actually still a teenager. Lol. She makes me want to pull her hair with her impulse actions all the time.

  2. I 💯 agree to all the comments above. I’m glad this was not just me. How was she an agent before who was a grown adult? She seriously need to set her priorities straight!

  3. she completely doesnt fit someone from military modern background lol. This author probably didnt research thoroughly when creating this girl. But since I already read up to this chapter I might as well continue to read LOL
