Auntie Tong’s words left a mark on my heart.
If members of “Extreme Path” no longer wish to continue being part of “Extreme Path,” naturally they should have better places to go.
The current “Extreme Path” is no longer what it was when it was first established. Much like I had anticipated, the entire “Extreme Path” now has a terrible reputation.
Many small and medium-sized organizations have been manipulated by “Extreme Path,” and some “Extreme Path” members are keen on causing disruptions during games. This has ultimately led to everyone condemning “Extreme Path,” making it almost impossible to gain others’ trust.
But this is just perfect.
All members of “Extreme Path” are now in a state of isolation and helplessness, yet they happen to trust my words immensely.
This dilemma will make them even more loyal. When there are too many external enemies, the internal structure becomes more stable. It appears that all the “Good People” are collectively targeting and opposing “Extreme Path,” but from the perspective of “Extreme Path” members, it’s a case of everyone else being drunk while they alone are sober. They are also at odds with the world, and while all these masses may be somewhat foolish, they still have the necessity of being saved.
Even so, I will pay close attention to those who harbor thoughts of leaving. They have risked their lives for “Extreme Path,” and I have no way of abandoning them no matter what.
If someone truly comes to me wanting to quit, I’ll recommend “Heaven’s Gate” as a destination.
After seeing off Auntie Tong, I waited in the same spot for a long time. It wasn’t until almost evening that I finally saw that familiar figure—except the person who came was accompanied by another.
Jiang Ruoxue was walking toward me with a tall, thin boy, both looking around as they approached.
I felt somewhat at a loss. What came next was a scenario I wasn’t particularly good at.
After a few steps, Jiang Ruoxue saw me. Her eyes clearly showed happiness, but she still forcibly suppressed her joy.
Then she squeezed out an extremely unnatural expression of sadness.
“Ah…” She opened her mouth, “Zhichun…?”
“Sigh… I didn’t expect you to be here…” She slowly lowered her head, revealing a helpless expression.
Yes… Ruoxue, you’d better not have expected it.
“This can’t be a hallucination, can it?” Jiang Ruoxue lifted her head to look at me, then looked back at the boy behind her. “Guyu, is there someone in front of me? Am I missing her too much, so I’m having hallucinations?”
“This…” The boy clearly hadn’t rehearsed his lines with Jiang Ruoxue and got stuck. “Sister Xue… should I say I see someone or don’t see someone?”
Jiang Ruoxue blinked, then lowered her head and said, “Sure enough, it’s a hallucination… How could she possibly come to make up with me?”
“This… you…” The boy named Guyu paused for a long time. Just as he was about to say something, he was glared at by Jiang Ruoxue, and the words in his mouth were swallowed back down.
“Guyu, I told you that I had a falling out with my best friend, and now I’m so lovesick that I’m having hallucinations.” Jiang Ruoxue sighed and said with an exaggerated expression, “Let’s just break up.”
“Break… break up…?”
Good, Guyu’s eyes told me he didn’t even know when they had gotten together.
“Sister Xue, don’t mess with me…” Guyu said. “I just wanted to ask you about the ‘Zodiac’ stuff. How did I end up getting dragged into this?”
Jiang Ruoxue quickly glared at him again and said, “You’d better stop pestering me. I’ve already developed a heart condition.”
“Uh… uh, I…” Guyu scratched his head. “Sister Xue… you… why don’t you go over the plot with me first… I can’t keep up…”
I had previously imagined many scenarios for reuniting with Jiang Ruoxue, but I had never anticipated this one.
I thought we might be silent, sad, or perhaps have disagreements again, but right now I could only hold back my laughter.
Good heavens… when is Ruoxue going to end this?
I’m really about to break character laughing.
“Say less!” Jiang Ruoxue said to Guyu in a low voice. “Usually you can’t squeeze out a fart, but now you have so much to say?! Is your innocence more important or is my best friend more important?”
“No, no… Sister Xue… she came all the way to find you…” Guyu also said in a low voice. “You two can do whatever you need to do, why drag me into this?”
The two of them were indeed anxious—their “low voices” were heard by me.
“What nonsense!” Jiang Ruoxue said in a low voice. “Do a magic trick.”
“What thing?”
“I said do a magic trick!”
The boy named Guyu blinked, then with a helpless expression pulled out a small black stick from his pants pocket. With a light pinch, it turned into a plastic rose right before my eyes.
“Give it here!”
Jiang Ruoxue unceremoniously snatched the rose, then walked toward me, saying as she walked, “Even if it’s a hallucination… it’s still my wishful thinking!”
“Sister Xue, that’s a magic prop… you can see the flaws…”
The sad expression Jiang Ruoxue had just brewed instantly turned into speechlessness. She turned around and said, “If you keep blabbering, I’ll tell you right now what the logical relationship is for you dying suddenly today.”
“Uh… okay, okay.” Guyu nodded. “I won’t say another word.”
She brought the flower before me, but her expression seemed uncertain about where to put it.
She seemed to want to hand the flower directly to me, but was afraid that if she touched me, the plot wouldn’t develop well.
So she could only turn back to look at Guyu.
Guyu, afraid of being scolded, kept his lips tightly sealed and said nothing.
After being stunned for three seconds, Jiang Ruoxue finally made up her mind and grabbed my hand.
“Eh…?” She made an exaggerated sound of confusion. “I can actually touch you?! You’re actually a real person?! Ah?! I… I…”
Okay, seeing her stutter with “I… I…” for a while, I knew she indeed hadn’t prepared the next lines.
I can’t hold it in anymore… this expression is really too funny…
“Pff…”
I really couldn’t hold it in. It’s so hard to endure.
“Hahahahaha!”
I laughed so hard I bent over backward, tears almost coming out from laughing.
Seeing me laugh so hard I couldn’t straighten up, Jiang Ruoxue knew her plan had failed. With a speechless expression on her face, she turned around and said to Guyu, “Didn’t I tell you to say less?”
“Huh…?” Guyu was stunned. “Sister Xue… can you blame this on me? And I didn’t say anything just now!”
“I don’t care, it’s all your fault.” Jiang Ruoxue said. “My acting was so good… the flawless plan was all ruined by you. Why did you have to be so chatty?”
This is wonderful… this feeling is so wonderful.
I understand Jiang Ruoxue too well. She must have also worried that I would feel awkward, so she arranged all the embarrassing parts for herself.
After all this commotion, she’s still herself, and I’m still myself.
So when getting along with others, you don’t need to be careful at every turn. Those who like you will naturally consider your feelings.
“Ruoxue, I’m sorry.” I said.
“Come on!” Jiang Ruoxue waved her hand. “Why are you apologizing to me? Now we two need to make that little brat Guyu apologize to me, otherwise this matter won’t be settled.”
Good, now it’s Guyu’s turn to be embarrassed.
