Neither of them seemed to care about the “precious grandson” Heavenly-Horse mentioned. Heavenly-Dragon only asked indifferently, “How are the ‘interview rooms’?”
“Oh… the ‘interview rooms’… everyone’s back…” Heavenly-Horse said. “I led people to check each room one by one. Every room has begun to restore to its original state, just like before. The ‘Participants’ have returned, and because interviewees need to be selected, even the ‘Interview Zodiacs’ have returned as well.”
“Good.” Heavenly-Dragon nodded. “Stand by on the side.”
Heavenly-Horse acknowledged and walked step by step behind Qinglong, standing carefully.
After hearing this, Qinglong frowned. “You’re going to ‘Enter Dreams’ here?”
“Mm.” Heavenly-Dragon nodded. “I’m somewhat fatigued this time. I feel there’s always a breath stuck in my chest. I’ll enter the ‘Dreamscape’ early. I’ll leave the rest to you all. Remember not to make any sounds.”
Heavenly-Horse paused slightly upon hearing Heavenly-Dragon’s words. “What… do you mean? Us?”
“Heavenly-Dragon is tired.” Qinglong turned his head to explain to Heavenly-Horse. “After ‘Entering Dreams’ ends, you and I will send him to the throne together.”
Heavenly-Horse acted as if she hadn’t heard Qinglong speak at all, only staring straight at Heavenly-Dragon.
Heavenly-Dragon took a deep breath and slowly closed his eyes. All the “Participants” on the “train” entered his vision like bright lights in the starry sky.
He steadied his mind. His “Belief” stirred slightly, and a massive “Entering Dreams” burst forth.
In this vast space of nothingness, he was like a true deity, looking down from above at the memories of all living beings.
“Everyone, ‘reality’ is about to arrive…”
Heavenly-Dragon began to construct massive dreamscapes for everyone in this space. This time the feeling was indeed especially exhausting. In just an instant, more than half of the “Belief” in his body was drained away.
Cold sweat began to appear on his face, but his “Belief” seemed to be stuck to something, completely unable to break free. He could only continue replicating all the dreams with a grave expression.
“He can barely breathe.”
This voice happened to interrupt his somewhat stuck “Belief.” Heavenly-Dragon instantly flew into a rage. He suddenly opened his eyes and looked toward where the voice came from.
The speaker was none other than Heavenly-Dog, standing behind Qinglong—fat-bodied and submissive.
“Heav… enly-Dog…?” Heavenly-Dragon glared at him with a grave expression. After several seconds of silence, he spoke, “Heavenly-Dog… you… did I or did I not just tell you not to speak?”
“I… I’m sorry… I…” Heavenly-Dog said softly while standing behind Qinglong.
After hearing this, Qinglong’s expression showed slight anger. “How dare you! Don’t you know the rules when Heavenly-Dragon activates ‘Entering Dreams’?”
Heavenly-Dog’s whole body trembled like a sieve. “Heav—Heavenly-Dragon… please don’t be angry… this is the first time I’ve seen you activate ‘Entering Dreams’ in this room, so…”
“Then haven’t you heard about it before?” Qinglong interjected. “Is your ‘Spiritual Hearing’ just for show?”
“I’m truly sorry… but I still haven’t found my grandson…” Fear began to flash across Heavenly-Dog’s fat face, leaving Heavenly-Dragon somewhat confused.
“Shut up!” Qinglong shouted angrily. “Heavenly-Dog, even if you’re going to be scared to death, you must die quietly here.”
Heavenly-Dog indeed made no more sounds, only retreating to the wall with a fearful expression.
Heavenly-Dragon snorted coldly and closed his eyes again, feeling that his brain seemed indescribably chaotic. It seemed that something unusual had happened.
Precious grandson…?
But the urgent priority right now wasn’t to worry about Heavenly-Dog, but rather the “dreams” of all these living beings.
This time seemed to require even more “Belief” than before. Just moving his thoughts would drain him completely. Moreover, that strange sticky sensation was also very concerning. He seemed unable to freely exit from the state of “Entering Dreams.”
He never opened his eyes, only re-examining the vast dreamscape world he had just created. His “Belief” had just been interrupted midway by someone. He didn’t know if there would be unknown consequences.
He transformed himself into an inconspicuous passerby and randomly entered the dreams of several ordinary “Participants.” He soon discovered where the problem lay.
The world of bustling traffic had already been constructed, but there wasn’t a single living person in the entire world.
Apart from himself and the dream’s owner, there was no trace of life whatsoever.
Whether on the streets, in schools, in prisons, or in those scattered small plazas and buildings—everywhere was completely empty.
He traveled through various dreamscapes in confusion, only to discover with alarm that all the dreamscapes were ghost towns.
The dreamscapes had been constructed, but where were the people in the dreams?
This looked like his “Entering Dreams” had been greatly diminished, his power sharply reduced.
When had he become so weak?
He clearly felt unprecedented exhaustion, yet still created such broken dreamscapes.
At this moment, the area outside the door became chaotic again. Many “Zodiacs” began cleaning up the aftermath in the corridor. Their minute conversations began echoing in his ears.
Although people were talking, Heavenly-Dragon couldn’t hear clearly. The sounds were very distant, making him feel annoyed.
The feeling of difficulty breathing surged up again. Heavenly-Dragon’s patience was about to be completely exhausted.
“Give me ‘Silence.'” Heavenly-Dragon said with his eyes closed.
“Huh?” Heavenly-Dog paused after hearing this. “‘Silence’…? I…”
“Shut up.” Heavenly-Dragon said. “Heavenly-Dog, from now on, if you say one more word, I’ll have you killed.”
Heavenly-Dog didn’t understand what he meant and could only continue to remain silent, standing tightly against the wall.
“What do you need ‘Silence’ for?” Qinglong asked from the side.
“The sounds are too chaotic…” Heavenly-Dragon’s brows furrowed slightly. “Lend me your ‘Silence.’ If possible… also lend me what little ‘Belief’ you have left.”
Qinglong sighed and slowly stood up. “Heavenly-Dragon, for these insects, you’re also pushing yourself into a desperate situation.”
“Stop with the nonsense… once I enter a desperate situation, you won’t have it easy either.” Heavenly-Dragon murmured with his eyes tightly closed. “If I don’t activate ‘Entering Dreams’ this time, everyone will realize that their ‘rebellion’ was effective. Then those who retain their memories will tirelessly repeat this action, and our situation will become even more dangerous.”
Qinglong walked step by step behind Heavenly-Dragon and said softly, “First, let me state that I’m not certain whether my ‘Belief’ is stable, but I’ll do my utmost to help you.”
“When you’re hiding things from me, your ‘Silence’ is quite stable.” Heavenly-Dragon said. “Don’t waste time. I need to concentrate.”
Qinglong nodded and placed his hand on Heavenly-Dragon’s shoulder.
Heavenly-Dragon felt that Qinglong was indeed somewhat too weak. His hand on his shoulder felt like a piece of paper—so light he could barely feel its presence.
But his own condition wasn’t much better than Qinglong’s right now. He could only concentrate fully on examining everyone’s dreams.
In the next second, a massive surge of “Belief” flowed from Qinglong’s palm into Heavenly-Dragon’s body. Heavenly-Dragon felt his condition beginning to gradually recover.
Although he could still hear some chaos in the corridor, he seemed to have gained a tremendous force. With Qinglong’s assistance, the two of them together completed all the “dreamscapes.”
“Entering Dreams” finally returned to what it should be. In those dreamscapes, not only were there towering buildings, but all kinds of ordinary people began to appear as well.
