By the time they reached the senior kindergarten class, the County Education Bureau organized a singing competition called “Little Red Flower” for kindergartens at all levels. It was said that the finals would be held in the grand auditorium of the “Taixi Theater,” where county leaders would attend, and TV station staff would come to record and broadcast it on loop during the New Year period.

Blue Sky Kindergarten, where Chen An and Cheng Lele attended, took this competition very seriously. Since it was a singing competition, voices had to be loud and clear. Since it was a performance, appearances had to be good-looking. After selecting among the children, the teachers settled on Chen An and Cheng Lele.

Chen An and Cheng Lele were the lead singers, with a group of little ones standing behind them in chorus. The two had to sing while remembering hand gestures. Cheng Lele listened to the teacher very well. After dinner at home, she called Chen An to practice together.

Chen An was playing video games and ignored Cheng Lele. Cheng Lele blocked the screen, urging him to cooperate a little.

Chen An lifted his eyelids and said: “You’re a silly goose who needs more practice. I’m a genius and don’t need to practice anymore. Move away quickly, don’t disturb my gaming.”
