Long Aotian – Chapter 90

Jian Xingzhi rushed back to his own room. He directly leaped onto the bed and buried himself with the pillow.

666 watched him bury himself for a long while, sighed, and tried to persuade him: “Master, come up for air. Don’t suffocate yourself here.”

“I can hold my breath for a day. Don’t talk.”

666: “…”

Did she really think he, an immortal, would suffocate himself?!

666 felt even her system’s power transmission wasn’t smooth.

She recovered for a while and told herself—this host was different from the previous ones. Her past hosts were all wildly arrogant and cool. This Long Aotian needed her compassion and support.

Thinking about what just happened, she tried to comfort Jian Xingzhi properly: “Don’t be disappointed. She didn’t respond—maybe she’s thinking about how to reply to you?”

“Stop talking.”

Hearing this made Jian Xingzhi feel even worse: “She must be disgusted to death by me right now.”

“Uh… from her expression, it didn’t seem like it…”

“Why didn’t she crush the heart-connected talisman and kill me?”

Jian Xingzhi pressed on. 666 felt she couldn’t communicate with this person and pondered: “Why don’t you ask her?”

“No.”

Jian Xingzhi dejectedly poked his head out from under the pillow and turned over: “I won’t bother her anymore. From now on I won’t appear, to avoid making her uncomfortable. Anyway, there are only two pieces of Exquisite Jade left. After I send her to ascend, she’ll return to Jishan. We won’t need to see each other after that.”

“She didn’t say anything just now either…”

“Stop talking,” Jian Xingzhi interrupted her. “She has a good temper. She’s afraid saying harsh words would hurt me. I can’t take advantage of that. I already crossed the line just now. I won’t disturb her anymore in the future.”

With that, Jian Xingzhi closed his eyes: “Going to sleep.”

Though he said he was sleeping, Jian Xingzhi couldn’t sleep at all. He tossed and turned in bed all night, feeling worse the more he thought about it.

But what could he do?

At first, he vaguely thought that when she asked if he liked her, it was because she also liked him. Without even asking, he impulsively kissed her, only to have misunderstood.

Why didn’t Qin Wanwan kill him? She’d said if he offended her, she’d kill him.

She was still too soft-hearted.

Jian Xingzhi felt terrible. Qin Wanwan also couldn’t sleep all night.

She didn’t know exactly what she was angry about—inexplicably just felt embarrassed and annoyed.

Kissing someone until they couldn’t catch their breath, not even letting her recover before running away—how was she supposed to explain or say anything?

How could there be such a terrible man…

Making her so angry her blood pressure rose. When she wanted to kill him, his little mouth kept going, making her feel he was actually quite wonderful.

The two were separated by one wall, each with wild thoughts in their beds.

Jian Xingzhi felt miserable.

Qin Wanwan felt angry.

Fortunately, Qin Wanwan slept a bit better. Holding on until near dawn, Qin Wanwan drowsily fell asleep.

When she woke up the next day, Qin Wanwan calmed her emotions, got up to go to the dining hall for breakfast, thinking about using this opportunity to figure out how to talk to Jian Xingzhi…

Talk about what exactly?

Qin Wanwan’s heart felt somewhat chaotic. She’d never experienced such complex emotions before.

Previously, lazy as she was, her mind was always clear. But Jian Xingzhi was like a boulder smashing into a lake—what it stirred up wasn’t ripples, but stormy waves.

She was happy in her heart, yet always felt that after being enemies, master and disciple, friends for so long, becoming lovers felt somewhat…

Qin Wanwan couldn’t quite articulate it. She organized her emotions and arrived at the dining hall. Entering, she saw everyone sitting at the table, except for Jian Xingzhi.

Qin Wanwan froze, instinctively speaking: “Where’s Jian Xingzhi?”

“He went to find Liu Feishuang.”

Cuilu spoke, calling Qin Wanwan over: “Hurry and eat something.”

Hearing Jian Xingzhi went to find Liu Feishuang, Qin Wanwan turned to look at Xie Gutang. Xie Gutang was more reliable than Cuilu and explained: “Senior said he spent all night—Bai Wei might recover somewhat. Worried about Miss Liu’s side, he went over early.”

“Daojun Jian is truly a good person,” hearing Xie Gutang’s words, Luo Xingzhou was quite pleased. “He’s more thoughtful than us!”

“Not really,” Mei Suihan spoke, turning his fan in hand. “Usually he doesn’t think this much. It’s Miss Qin who thinks more for him.” Speaking, Mei Suihan looked toward Qin Wanwan. “Right, Miss Wanwan?”

Qin Wanwan smiled without speaking, only saying: “Let’s eat.”

Everyone exchanged glances. Not knowing why, they didn’t dare speak. They finished breakfast in strange silence.

After eating, Qin Wanwan stood up preparing to return to her room. Nanfeng quickly came up: “Master, aren’t you going to find Daojun Jian?”

“Find him for what?”

Qin Wanwan smiled and turned back: “I’m going back to cultivate first.”

“The illusion in Senior’s hands is more beneficial for cultivation,” Xie Gutang quickly stood up, following Nanfeng’s lead. “Wanwan, why don’t you go find Senior?”

Qin Wanwan hesitated a moment, then nodded: “Alright.”

Xie Gutang and Nanfeng instinctively breathed sighs of relief. Cuilu turned the round fan in her hand, smiling: “Then why don’t we all go together? With Luo Xingzhou and Liu Feishuang together, having more people also makes protection more convenient.”

Everyone decided, and the group headed toward Liu Feishuang’s courtyard.

Liu Feishuang’s courtyard was lively. She sat in the room being forced to embroider shoes and socks to give Luo Xingzhou. Five-year-old little sister Yaya was in the courtyard, accompanied by a group of maids chasing butterflies. Jian Xingzhi had a blade of grass in his mouth, leaning sideways against a willow tree, looking up at the sky.

“Big brother, big brother!” Yaya called to Jian Xingzhi under the tree. “Help me catch butterflies!”

“Not catching them.” Jian Xingzhi decisively refused. As soon as he arrived this morning, this little girl had been bothering him to death. This little girl was lively and active—one moment wanting to pick flowers, the next catching butterflies. Liu Feishuang had to embroider and couldn’t keep her company, so she led a group of maids chasing after him making noise.

“Butterflies are pretty.” Yaya persisted. “Big brother, catch them for me. I’ll give you candy.”

“Butterflies are insects. I’ll catch you a caterpillar.”

“Butterflies aren’t insects, butterflies are butterflies!” Yaya’s eyes reddened, looking like she was about to cry.

Jian Xingzhi glanced at Yaya and called Liu Feishuang: “Liu Feishuang, your sister’s about to cry.”

“Let her cry!” Liu Feishuang’s voice came. “So annoying.”

Hearing this, Yaya burst into loud crying on the spot. Jian Xingzhi sucked in a breath, picked at his ear, and quickly agreed: “Alright, alright, I’ll catch them for you.”

With that, Jian Xingzhi leaped into the air and raised his hand to wrap a butterfly in spiritual power.

The maids below all clapped and screamed: “Immortal Lord is so handsome!”

“Immortal Lord is so amazing!”

Qin Wanwan just entered the courtyard to see Jian Xingzhi catching butterflies. Hearing the young ladies beside cheering, her steps paused as she stopped at the corridor entrance.

Hearing voices in the air, Jian Xingzhi turned back to see Qin Wanwan standing at the entrance with people. He was so startled he stumbled, but fortunately his body was faster than his brain—he quickly balanced and landed steadily. Then, pretending to be composed, he turned his head aside, handed the butterfly to a nearby maid, and said coldly: “Here.”

After giving the butterfly, he glanced at Xie Gutang: “Since you all are here, I’ll go back to sleep.”

With that, he turned and left.

Qin Wanwan quietly looked at that fluttering butterfly. Everyone sensed her gaze and didn’t dare speak.

After a long while, Qin Wanwan withdrew her gaze, calmly walked toward the rear corridor, saying indifferently: “I’m going to meditate. Everyone rest.”

“She…” Luo Xingzhou swallowed, looking at the direction Qin Wanwan disappeared, then at Xie Gutang. “Is she angry?”

“Yes.” Xie Gutang nodded.

“What happened to them?” Cuilu frowned.

“Are they fighting?”

Nanfeng wondered.

Everyone discussed for a while but couldn’t figure it out. They just saw these two people avoiding each other.

When Qin Wanwan was at Liu Feishuang’s place, Jian Xingzhi returned to the courtyard. When Qin Wanwan returned to the courtyard, Jian Xingzhi came to Liu Feishuang’s place.

For several days straight, forget about Qin Wanwan speaking a word to Jian Xingzhi—she couldn’t even catch sight of him.

Seeing the wedding date approaching with Bai Wei showing no movement at all, Liu Yuehua began feeling anxious. She called everyone over, speaking worriedly: “Bai Wei hasn’t come all this time. I’m afraid she’s planning to find an opportunity on the wedding day to make the Liu Family lose face before the world.” Liu Yuehua spoke, looking at everyone. “I wonder if you all have any methods to make Bai Wei come out early, to avoid causing trouble on the wedding day?”

No one spoke. Hearing Liu Yuehua’s inquiry, Qin Wanwan pondered: “If Bai Wei isn’t coming out, either she wants to specifically strike on the wedding day, or because we’ve been on strict guard recently, she’s planning to pick a suitable time.”

“What time would be suitable?”

Xie Gutang looked at Qin Wanwan. Qin Wanwan smiled: “The wedding chamber—we can hardly guard beside the newlyweds.”

“I was thinking the same,” Liu Yuehua sighed. “Until Bai Wei is eliminated, I won’t have peace. In the wedding chamber, we can hardly turn it into a battlefield.”

Everyone fell silent. Hearing Liu Yuehua’s words, everyone thought of one method, but no one spoke.

Qin Wanwan understood Liu Yuehua’s hint and spoke frankly: “Then why not proactively set a trap? Move the wedding date up to tomorrow. We’ll hold a wedding first to lure Bai Wei out.”

“Good.”

Liu Yuehua nodded, but thinking about it, she hesitated: “But Feishuang’s cultivation isn’t high. If we really let her…”

“I can transform into Feishuang’s appearance and be this bride.”

Qin Wanwan didn’t let Liu Yuehua finish. After all, the Liu Family was giving them the Exquisite Jade—taking people’s money meant eliminating their troubles. She looked up at Luo Xingzhou: “Tomorrow Young Master Luo will normally come to receive the bride. When it’s time for the wedding chamber and Bai Wei comes, we’ll catch the turtle in the jar.”

“Let me replace Xingzhou in receiving the bride.”

Hearing Qin Wanwan’s arrangement, Xie Gutang frowned and spoke: “Having Xingzhou receive the bride to deal with Bai Wei—I’m not comfortable with that.”

“Daojun Xie’s appearance differs too greatly from Daojun Luo. I’m afraid it would make Bai Wei notice,” Mei Suihan smiled from the side. “Why not have me use illusion techniques to disguise as Daojun Luo to receive the bride?”

As these words came out, Cuilu cleared her throat lightly, glancing at Jian Xingzhi.

Actually, no one present was more suitable than Jian Xingzhi—both knew transformation and had high cultivation. But Jian Xingzhi kept his head lowered without saying a word.

Cuilu started coughing again to remind him. Jian Xingzhi still didn’t move.

Xie Gutang and Nanfeng couldn’t help joining the coughing queue. For a time, coughing sounds rose and fell throughout the great hall.

Jian Xingzhi lowered his head pretending not to hear. Liu Feishuang looked at everyone curiously: “What’s wrong with you all?”

“Just,” being asked this, Cuilu felt rather embarrassed. “Itchy throat.”

“All three of you have itchy throats?” Liu Feishuang pressed. Everyone couldn’t speak.

Qin Wanwan knew what they meant. She glanced at Jian Xingzhi and spoke calmly: “Let’s have Daojun Luo then. Just arrange things properly.”

With Qin Wanwan deciding, everyone said no more. Each person sympathetically glanced at Jian Xingzhi. Qin Wanwan exchanged pleasantries with Liu Yuehua for a while, then stood up to leave.

Feeling vexed, she didn’t return to the courtyard with the main group. Instead, she walked into the garden to clear her mind.

Jian Xingzhi glanced in the direction she left, greeted Xie Gutang, then followed. But after just a few steps, he discovered Mei Suihan had also followed. He hesitated a moment, finally choosing to leap to a high place, letting Mei Suihan go first.

He’d agreed not to pester her. As long as Qin Wanwan was safe, whoever wanted to talk to her—what did it have to do with him?

Qin Wanwan walked alone for a while. Her mood easing somewhat, she found a rock by the lake to sit down.

38 saw her vexed and sighed, trying to persuade her: “Ai, why must you two do this? Just go talk to him, wouldn’t that be fine?”

“I won’t go.” Qin Wanwan spoke sullenly. “Why should it always be me going?”

“That’s true,” 38 nodded, also feeling Qin Wanwan had a point. “How can you always make the girl do the coaxing? I always coax my wife.”

Hearing 38 say this, Qin Wanwan felt even worse.

Even a system knew to coax people. Jian Xingzhi was worse than a system!

She pressed her lips tight, looking at her reflection in the lake water without speaking.

A young man’s teasing voice suddenly came from behind: “Sitting here sulking?”

Qin Wanwan turned to look, seeing Mei Suihan sit beside her. Qin Wanwan instinctively moved to the side, speaking warily: “Young Master Mei?”

Mei Suihan turned his head to look at her, raising his hand to open his palm. In his palm was a butterfly trapped in spiritual power. Qin Wanwan froze, then heard him say gently: “For you. Don’t be angry.”

Qin Wanwan stared blankly at the butterfly. After a moment she reacted and quickly shook her head: “No need, thank you.”

With that, she raised her hand to break the spiritual power barrier. The butterfly flew out from Mei Suihan’s palm.

Mei Suihan didn’t mind, only saying: “That day I saw you staring at the butterfly in Jian Xingzhi’s hand. I thought you liked them.”

During their conversation, Jian Xingzhi arrived at the tree. Just as he lay down, he heard this sentence. His movements paused as he looked up at the two people sitting by the lake.

“What is Young Master Mei doing here?”

Qin Wanwan recovered and inquired gently.

Mei Suihan didn’t hide it, looking at the starry sky: “Seeing you unhappy, afraid something might happen if you’re alone. So I came to check.”

“Young Master Mei’s care and consideration—I appreciate the thought,” Qin Wanwan spoke peacefully. “But I want to be alone for a while. If Young Master has no other business, you can return to your room to rest first.”

“I do have business,” Mei Suihan turned his head, looking at her seriously. “I just wanted to ask—are you really having Luo Xingzhou be this groom?”

Hearing this, Qin Wanwan looked up.

Mei Suihan explained: “I know you don’t trust me, so you’re not comfortable with me replacing Luo Xingzhou. But Bai Wei isn’t someone Luo Xingzhou can handle. I divined for you.” Speaking, Mei Suihan raised his hand and pointed. A golden character for “ominous” appeared in the air. He turned to look at her, quite serious. “This trip—if it’s with Luo Xingzhou, I’m not comfortable.”

“Young Master Mei,” hearing this, Qin Wanwan smiled. “You and I have no relationship, right? When Young Master Mei says you’re not comfortable—in what capacity?”

Hearing this, Mei Suihan thought about it: “Even if I told you, you wouldn’t believe me. Why bother asking?”

“Young Master Mei might as well try saying it?”

“I like you.”

These words were spoken openly and frankly, which made them seem somewhat frivolous.

Qin Wanwan didn’t speak. Around them were only cicadas chirping and frogs calling. Jian Xingzhi, in this stretch of tranquility, looked up at the starry sky.

His heart felt sour and bitter. He wanted to go out and stop them, but what qualification did he have?

“How much do you like me?” After a long while, Qin Wanwan finally spoke, but asked this question back.

Jian Xingzhi didn’t dare look at their appearance anymore. He wanted to leave, didn’t want to listen, but was also afraid Mei Suihan had ulterior motives.

He could only lean against the tree, pretending not to exist.

Hearing Qin Wanwan’s inquiry, Mei Suihan laughed softly: “If I said I like you as much as Jian Xingzhi does—would Miss believe me?”

As much as him?

Jian Xingzhi scoffed inwardly.

Was he worthy?

However, Qin Wanwan didn’t refute. Instead, she spoke seriously and steadily: “I can believe it.”

Qin Wanwan’s brain had been kicked by a donkey.

This was Jian Xingzhi’s first thought.

But before his thought could mature, he heard the wind beside him suddenly turn sharp. Jian Xingzhi jerked upright to see—surprisingly—Qin Wanwan making the first move, the hilt of Yuanning Sword striking straight at Mei Suihan!

Jian Xingzhi couldn’t determine Qin Wanwan’s intentions and didn’t dare act rashly. He gripped his sword hilt watching the battle. He saw Mei Suihan’s movements were also extremely fast. The moment Qin Wanwan attacked, his fingers formed seals with a “clang” blocking before Yuanning: “What does Miss Qin mean?”

“If you want me to believe you,” Qin Wanwan smiled, glancing at Yuanning, “then draw Yuanning Sword once.”

“Miss Qin is joking.” Mei Suihan and Qin Wanwan remained in a stalemate, but his voice was extremely gentle. “Yuanning is your sword. For sword cultivators, the sword surpasses life itself. How could I touch it?”

“You don’t dare?”

Qin Wanwan spoke directly. Mei Suihan smiled: “What’s there not to dare?”

With that, Mei Suihan withdrew his incantation and raised his hand to touch Yuanning. However, at that very instant, a sword slashed straight down. Mei Suihan immediately withdrew his hand and turned to look, seeing Jian Xingzhi standing beside the two.

He looked at Mei Suihan and said coldly: “I have words with her. Excuse me.”

“I have nothing to say to you.”

Seeing Jian Xingzhi, Qin Wanwan immediately stood up and turned to leave.

Jian Xingzhi’s expression looked somewhat ugly, but he still sheathed his sword and followed. The two walked rapidly through the garden. Jian Xingzhi didn’t speak, sullenly following behind Qin Wanwan.

Qin Wanwan suddenly stopped and turned to look at him: “Why are you following me?”

“A sword cultivator’s sword,” Jian Xingzhi steeled himself, speaking with difficulty, “can’t be touched by just anyone.”

A sword cultivator’s divine soul was connected to their sword. Handing the sword to someone else—if they had ulterior motives—was no different from handing over one’s life.

“What business is it of yours?” Qin Wanwan naturally knew this, but thinking of his recent behavior, anger rose in her. She stared at him and asked: “In what capacity are you managing me?”

Jian Xingzhi couldn’t speak. He suddenly felt somewhat regretful.

If he’d known speaking out would result in this, he shouldn’t have said anything. At least they’d still be friends.

He adjusted his emotions, trying to make himself as rational as possible, speaking steadily: “I don’t have any qualification to manage you. I just wanted to suggest—Mei Suihan’s identity is unclear. Before determining whether he’s enemy or friend, don’t let just anyone touch your sword.”

“I have my own plans.” Qin Wanwan didn’t acknowledge him, only asking: “You came to find me just to say this?”

Jian Xingzhi didn’t respond. He seemed to be adjusting his emotions. After a long while, he finally spoke again: “I mainly wanted to ask you—tomorrow, can you let me replace Luo Xingzhou? My cultivation is higher than his. I’m more confident dealing with Bai Wei. Just letting him be with you, I… I’m not comfortable.”

“Then why didn’t you say so earlier?”

“I…” Jian Xingzhi felt she was asking a question she knew the answer to, but still replied: “I was worried that if I directly agreed just now, everyone would pressure you. But I was afraid you’d mind.”

Qin Wanwan didn’t speak. Jian Xingzhi was rarely this gentle.

“You have a good temper. I know that. If everyone pressured you, considering the big picture, you’d also let me do it. But I know that night was abrupt. You’re probably uncomfortable about it. So I wanted to ask your meaning.”

“What if my meaning is to have Luo Xingzhou?” Qin Wanwan pressed.

Jian Xingzhi’s movements stiffened. Actually, he hadn’t thought Qin Wanwan would detest him this much.

He stood in place. After a long while, he finally said: “Then I’ll make more preparations for you. If you encounter any danger, remember to call me.”

“Jian Xingzhi.” Qin Wanwan laughed in anger. “What terrible brain do you have!”

Finishing, Qin Wanwan flicked her sleeve and left.

Jian Xingzhi was also angered by her scolding and followed close behind.

“I meant well. I’m worried about you. If you don’t appreciate it, fine. But why are you cursing at people?”

Qin Wanwan ignored him. Jian Xingzhi lifted tree branches over her head from behind, continuing to chase her: “I like you. If you don’t like me, I’ll accept it. At least we’re still mission partners. I still need to send you to ascend. Are you planning to fight with me like this for a lifetime?”

“I was impulsive that night. I thought when you asked if I liked you, it meant you also liked me. I misunderstood. Can I apologize to you?”

“If I don’t have merit, at least I’ve worked hard, right? You… can’t you see that I usually treat you well…”

“Where have you treated me well?!”

Hearing this, Qin Wanwan instantly turned back to scold him.

Jian Xingzhi froze. Qin Wanwan was both angry and wronged: “You give other people butterflies. The flowers you gave me were all ones I picked myself!”

This scolding left Jian Xingzhi dumbfounded. He recovered after a moment, stammering: “But… but that was a child…”

“I’m not discussing this with you.”

Qin Wanwan felt she’d lost her composure. Not wanting to talk to him, as she turned, Jian Xingzhi suddenly reacted: “You don’t even like me. Why do you care if I give other people butterflies or flowers?”

Qin Wanwan pressed her lips without speaking. She lifted her skirt and stepped into the courtyard. Jian Xingzhi, seeing her somewhat reddened eyes, instantly realized something: “Do you like me?”

“Get lost!”

Qin Wanwan shouted at him. Jian Xingzhi heard this scolding, saw Qin Wanwan’s eyes brimming with moisture. The more he thought about it, the more reasonable it seemed.

He didn’t dare touch her, just followed close beside her. One moment leaning over from her left side, the next from her right: “Qin Wanwan, you like me, don’t you?”

“Talk to me. Are you jealous, so you’ve been unhappy these past few days?”

“You like me. I kissed you then ran away, so you got angry?”

“I don’t like you!”

Harassed by Jian Xingzhi’s pestering, Qin Wanwan rushed into the room, raising her hand to close the door.

Jian Xingzhi squeezed half his body in, jamming himself in the doorway refusing to let her close it, chasing with questions: “If you don’t like me, why did you get angry because I gave Yaya butterflies?”

“Leave!”

“You like me. When we kissed that day, why didn’t you say so then?”

“Get out!” Mentioning this, Qin Wanwan’s face immediately flushed red. Both embarrassed and annoyed, she desperately pushed at him: “Get out of here!”

“Give me a definite answer.” Jian Xingzhi jammed in the doorway refusing to leave, looking at Qin Wanwan with bright eyes. “Do you like me or not?”

“Stop being shameless here!” Seeing him push his luck, Qin Wanwan viciously kicked out: “Go guard Liu Feishuang! Go catch butterflies for her!”

This kick was truly fierce. Jian Xingzhi was kicked out with one foot. He bent over rubbing where Qin Wanwan had kicked him, cleared his throat, and shouted toward the door: “If you don’t speak, I’ll take it as you liking me.”

“I don’t like you! Hurry and leave!”

“Don’t speak in anger. Calm down first.” This time Jian Xingzhi learned to be clever. He stood up and leaned against the doorway talking to Qin Wanwan. “That day I thought I’d misunderstood your meaning, thought you didn’t like me, so I ran. I was afraid you didn’t like me and I was pestering you, that you’d find it annoying, so I avoided you. I gave Yaya butterflies, but Yaya is only five years old—don’t overthink it. Although I don’t know why you’re angry, don’t be angry anymore. I’ll buy you chestnuts, okay?”

Listening to Jian Xingzhi speak nice words, Qin Wanwan lay on the table without responding, but her heart felt much more comfortable.

Seeing Qin Wanwan not responding for a long time, Jian Xingzhi remembered the proper business. Not wanting to pester more, he smiled and called out to Qin Wanwan: “You calm down first. I’ll listen to you and go catch butterflies for Liu Feishuang.”

Hearing this, Qin Wanwan’s temper flared. She shouted loudly: “Get lost!”

When Qin Wanwan scolded him, he didn’t mind. Smiling, he turned and went to find Luo Xingzhou.

Luo Xingzhou was chatting with Xie Gutang on their way back. Meeting Jian Xingzhi head-on, before Luo Xingzhou could greet him, he saw Jian Xingzhi’s sword swing directly up with a “clang” striking the tree beside them, pressing against his neck.

This sword was too fast. If Jian Xingzhi hadn’t deliberately stopped, his head would probably have already moved homes by now.

Luo Xingzhou swallowed: “Dao… Daojun Jian…”

“Telling you something,” Jian Xingzhi leaned in, his tone carrying some threat. “Tomorrow I’m replacing you. Understand?”

“Understand,” hearing this, Luo Xingzhou immediately knew what it was about. He nodded frantically. “I understand. Tomorrow I’ll disappear completely clean. Don’t worry!”

“Thanks.”

Jian Xingzhi sheathed his sword and happily turned away.

“Where are you going, Daojun Jian?”

Watching the direction Jian Xingzhi was heading, Luo Xingzhou felt somewhat confused. Jian Xingzhi waved his hand: “To protect Liu Feishuang and catch more butterflies for her!”

Luo Xingzhou: “Huh?”

Jian Xingzhi ignored Luo Xingzhou’s surprise, carrying his sword through the garden, feeling the moonlight gentle, the willow branches graceful.

Butterflies danced gracefully under the moon. He raised his hand, spiritual power forming a net.

As Jian Xingzhi was catching butterflies, Qin Wanwan was lying on her room’s table in distress.

Not yet having decided whether to continue fighting with Jian Xingzhi or make up, she heard Luo Xingzhou rush in excitedly: “Miss Qin, this is bad! Go stop Daojun Jian!”

“What’s wrong?”

Seeing Luo Xingzhou’s appearance, Qin Wanwan immediately looked up: “What’s he doing?”

“He set up a formation array in the courtyard to catch butterflies. Caught so many, saying he wants to give them to Feishuang!”

Qin Wanwan was stunned. Luo Xingzhou anxiously said: “Feishuang hates butterflies!”

“I’ll go check right away!”

Hearing this, Qin Wanwan quickly headed for the door. But just as she stepped out, she saw butterflies seemingly guided by something, flying all the way toward the courtyard where she was located. Each butterfly was wrapped in spiritual power to prevent phosphorescent powder from scattering.

Everyone froze, then saw peonies planted in the courtyard blooming in large, large flowers slowly.

Qin Wanwan looked at these flowers and butterflies. After quite a while, she murmured: “He’s gotten smarter…”

**Author’s Note:**

**[Mini Theater]**
