The werewolf was still on stage, motionless, emitting low, suppressed growls.

Shen Mo glanced back at it. “According to werewolf legend, a werewolf generally reverts to human form during the daytime the next day. Not sure how this item is configured — let’s wait and see. The game has no time limit; there’s no need for us to take risks.”

The others all nodded.

“But…” Su Man looked at the tall, half-human, half-beast figure on the stage and said hesitantly, “items in the game usually last a few minutes… This one, surely it won’t last an entire night?”

After Shen Mo’s Lucky Question Card wore off, the werewolf resumed movement and immediately erupted into frenzied howling and running on the stage, seemingly possessed of boundless energy — tearing at the floor, shredding the curtains, letting out wave after wave of long, drawn-out howls!

Even the Jester Inspector retreated far away to keep a safe distance.

No one dared go up to challenge.

The brawl had come to a deadlock.

Everyone began to wait.

Waiting for the werewolf to regain its senses. Waiting for the game to resume.

— That wait stretched to a full twelve hours. They were forced to endure twelve random draws.

By good fortune, none of the twelve draws selected any of their five.

The drawn players were forced to face the werewolf in a 1-on-1 match.

Of course… not a single one was a match for the werewolf.

The carnage on the stage mounted. The werewolf’s score climbed ever higher, surpassing even 30 — yet with its rationality gone, it had no idea it should go claim the seat. It remained on the stage, howling and shrieking, wild and frenzied!

By the end of the twelfth drawn match, the werewolf had gained 5 more points, bringing its score to 36.

Shen Mo noticed the werewolf’s condition was deteriorating, and predicted it would soon revert to human form. He made a decisive jump onto the stage and launched an attack against the werewolf!

But what happened was completely unexpected — he threw a single punch, and the creature immediately coughed up blood and collapsed!

It had reverted to human form, slumped weakly on the ground. The contrast with its earlier frenzied ferocity was absolute. It was as feeble as a long-bedridden invalid; after that one punch, it was only moments before it breathed its last!

It seemed that although this item was formidable, once it wore off, the user was left utterly weakened and helpless!

A clamor arose from the audience below.

Even Tan Xiao and Su Man cried out in surprise: “Mo-ge! Look at your score!”

Shen Mo’s score was now 50!

“Why is it 50?! Wasn’t the maximum 20 points deducted? He should have had 39 with his original score!”

“Because the bald guy died! So ALL his points transferred to him!”

The Jester Inspector marveled: “Remarkable! You’ve actually exceeded the maximum score!

If not for the score cap, you’d be at 55 right now — impressive~! Congratulations, you’re the first to claim a Battle King throne!”

Shen Mo thought briefly, then immediately called down: “Tan Xiao, come up!”

“Got it!” Tan Xiao shot onto the stage in a flash.

Then Shen Mo swiftly executed a series of score transfers! He transferred 20 points to Tan Xiao; Tan Xiao transferred 10 to Su Man; Shen Mo went up again and transferred another 20 to Su Man—

Su Man accumulated 30 points and became the first player seated on a Battle King throne!

Then Shen Mo had Lucas come up. He and Tan Xiao took turns losing to Lucas, pushing his score from 19 all the way to 30!

Lucas became the second player to claim a Battle King throne!

Several players tried to rush the stage and grab points during all of this, but none succeeded.

When Shen Mo was about to apply this same method to earn points for the big-bearded man, Leonid flatly refused: “You and this fool have been going all-out. What’s the point of me just sitting here idle? I want in on the fighting at the end!”

Shen Mo smiled: “Fighting at the end… won’t be easy.”

He glanced around. The eyes staring back at them were filled with hatred.

They had already claimed two seats. To the other players, they were now enemies worthy of mortal vengeance!

The big-bearded man surveyed these people and sneered coldly: “Now we’re talking.”
