Feng Jiu’er considered herself to not be much of an infatuated fool. After all, even when Mu Mu had torn off his mask and revealed a level of handsomeness that could strike the breath from one’s lungs, she had merely found it pleasing to the eye.
So why was it that she simply could not withstand the Ninth Imperial Uncle’s magnetism?
This man was simply a demon in disguise.
The Ninth Imperial Uncle in white robes was graceful as an immortal. The Ninth Imperial Uncle in dark garments was wild and captivating. She wondered — if he ever wore military armor, would women find their legs giving way beneath them at first sight?
Right now he walked ahead of her. His figure was tall and long-limbed from behind, and the close-fitted dark garments made his two long legs even more pronounced, the lines of his body sharply defined.
Even without removing his trousers, one could almost see the firm, powerful muscle of his legs beneath the fabric.
OMG — she nearly started drooling. Was this man simply born to be the ruin of women?
She had seen plenty of handsome men before. But a man this maddeningly beautiful — this was the first time she had ever laid eyes on one.
“Why haven’t you moved yet?” Zhan Qingcheng turned his head and fixed his gaze on her, his sword-sharp brows knitting together: “Do you want this Prince to carry you?”
“I…”
“Stop entertaining foolish thoughts. Today, this Prince is not carrying anyone.” Zhan Qingcheng gave a cold snort, and then — without warning — tapped the ground lightly beneath his feet.
One could not even see where he exerted any force. But in the blink of an eye, he was already standing high upon the branch tips above.
This Prince… is not carrying? Feng Jiu’er’s little face immediately fell. The way he said it made it sound as if she had been desperate to be carried!
But still… “Ninth Imperial Uncle, what are you doing up there? Come down quickly!”
He was using his true energy again — did he not know that his body was in terrible shape right now?
“A mere sliver of true energy cannot shake my foundation. Move!” The dark-clad figure atop the treetops stood tall against the wind.
He casually plucked a tender leaf with one hand, his long fingers lightly flicking it — and that tender leaf shot straight toward Feng Jiu’er, flying true as an arrow.
Jiu’er was startled. Her instincts kicked in and she leapt two steps aside. When she looked back, that tender leaf had pierced deep into the ground — sharp as a blade.
“Ninth Imperial Uncle…”
“If you cannot evade, you will be hurt. This Prince accepts no responsibility.”
Two more tender leaves appeared in Zhan Qingcheng’s hand. He merely flicked them lightly, and those two leaves instantly flew toward the ground at her feet, just like blades.
Jiu’er was so startled that her breathing went ragged. The Ninth Imperial Uncle was not joking. If she could not evade, she would certainly be hurt.
All the leaves were aimed at her heels. Being struck by them would absolutely make her cry out for her father and mother in pain.
Jiu’er had no choice. He drove her onward without stop, and each time she barely managed to dodge before the next two leaves came flying.
And so she was forced onward like this, leaping forward step by step. At first, the path he was forcing her along was clearly winding and rugged — not easy to travel at all.
But gradually, her footsteps grew lighter and swifter — as though each step between the next required almost no effort at all.
What kind of footwork was this? Why did the path appear even more twisting and yet, as she walked it, feel easier and easier, faster and faster?
“What are you dawdling for?” Behind her, the man’s cool, biting voice sounded once more.
Feng Jiu’er dared not rest for even half a breath. She immediately stepped forward again.
An entire mountain peak — she had run across it just like that.
By the time the Ninth Imperial Uncle finally gave her a moment’s rest, Jiu’er looked back and only then realized she had crossed yet another mountain peak.
“But…” She looked at the man who had landed not far behind her, her face filled with astonishment: “Why am I not tired at all?”
Could this be the legendary lightness skill?
Had the Ninth Imperial Uncle come today specifically to teach her lightness skill?
Heavens! All at once, she felt as though she was incredibly blessed. She felt as though she had truly learned lightness skill.
It was only a beginner’s level, yes — but with a master as accomplished as the Ninth Imperial Uncle, she would surely pick it up quickly. Having lightness skill was simply too wonderful for words. She so wanted to hold the Ninth Imperial Uncle and kiss him a few times!
