Synopsis:
Since Jiang Zhaoxue crossed over, everything has gone smoothly for her.
Until she met Shen Yuqing and suffered enough from the pain of love.
She always thought it was due to a brain illness caused by love, until one day, she had a dream—a dream about a male-oriented face-slapping, leveling-up novel.
The male protagonist, Pei Zichen, was originally the top disciple of an immortal sect, with a pure reputation.
But because he was admired by a junior sister, his master, who was deeply in love with this junior sister, grew jealous. When he was framed by his fellow disciples, his master acted out of personal vendetta, destroying his foundation and throwing him off a cliff.
Afterward, with the company of his junior sister, he went through a process of leveling up and cultivating, eventually returning to the Immortal Mountain.
He killed his master, destroyed the sect, married the junior sister, and took revenge on everyone who humiliated him.
Among those he eliminated were his master, his master’s wife, and the entire family of his master and his wife.
That “master’s wife” was her.
The dream was so horrifying that Jiang Zhaoxue, upon waking, hurriedly thought of a way to descend the mountain to find the male lead, preparing to kill and seize treasures to change fate.
Unfortunately, she failed to seize the treasures. Instead, she set up a formation on the male lead, using his fate and life force to seek a glimmer of hope for herself.
To change her destiny, she deceived him along the way, tricked him, and when he was abandoned by everyone, she jumped down the cliff with him and carried him through the snowstorm.
As she walked, she cursed, thinking about how she would kill him after everything was done.
Everything she plotted was unknown to Pei Zichen.
Pei Zichen only remembered that on the day they fell off the cliff, the wind was strong, and he couldn’t hear her words. Bloodied and leaning on her shoulder, he gazed at the woman who had only ever looked at her master in her eyes and murmured in confusion:
“Master’s wife?”
That was the first time, at twelve years old, when he climbed the Three Thousand Heavenly Steps to stand before her, calling her by that title.
It was also the title he would come to hate the most for the rest of his life.

Reading Tips:
- The male lead has a growth arc. He is not always the “little brother” to the female lead. There are times when he’s powerful. The emotional aspect is high, with the male loving the female more than vice versa, but the identity status doesn’t guarantee that the male will always be on top. If you want an absolute female-dominated relationship, this may not be for you.
- The female lead is not a good person. She chooses not to do evil but, when faced with the choice of harming herself or others, she will choose to hurt others. I have never written her as someone who thinks she’s a good person. She simply does good when she has the ability and choice, so don’t misunderstand me as creating a perfect, virtuous character. She is a selfish, ordinary person.
- Once you enter this story, don’t expect too much moral righteousness. When you click into “Master’s Wife X Disciple,” you should be prepared for moral flaws.
- There’s fierce competition and a lot of drama. The female lead is a bit of a “thousand men’s crush.”
- The female lead genuinely liked the second male lead for two hundred years, but her emotions were amplified, causing her to do outrageous things. She doesn’t act irrationally for love, so once she regains clarity, her behavior changes significantly, but that doesn’t mean she was ever completely controlled without feelings. She had feelings, but not many.
- The plot is quite cliché, and the emotions are melodramatic.
