Dai Wo You Zui Shi – Chapter 254

But when a long-suppressed madman finally snaps, what shocking strength might he display?

Lao Jiu somehow caught up with the speeding car, his gun remarkably steady. “Bang bang bang bang bang—” He fired several shots through the still-open door, drawing multiple cries of pain from inside.

You Mingxu shouted: “Lao Jiu!”

Champion and Chen Feng looked up, their eyes nearly popping out at the sight: “Lao Jiu—” “Lao Jiu, come back!”

Too late.

Though Lao Jiu wore a bulletproof vest, it only protected his chest and abdomen. The Punishers were not ones to be slaughtered easily – after taking such a hit, gunfire quickly erupted from the car in retaliation. You Mingxu and the others watched helplessly as bullets struck Lao Jiu’s head, arms, neck, and thighs in rapid succession.

Lao Jiu stumbled, but just when everyone thought he would fall, he found strength from somewhere and suddenly lunged, half his body diving into the car!

“Ahh—” Terrible screams like slaughtered pigs came from inside, followed by another round of intense gunfire. The spectators’ hearts nearly burst as they could only see Lao Jiu’s legs still hanging out of the car, twitching and struggling briefly before going completely still.

The SUV accelerated, driving farther away.

Lao Jiu was thrown from the car.

But he wasn’t thrown out alone.

He and another person were thrown out together in a grotesque pose.

Lao Jiu’s face was buried in the person’s thigh, which was a bloody mess – his teeth still clenched around a chunk of flesh. It was Xing Yanjun, shot multiple times, eyes wide with terror, already dead.

The two bodies lay motionless together on the dusty road.

Champion suddenly screamed “Ahhh—” sounding just like Lao Jiu! He sprang up and ran toward where Lao Jiu’s body lay. But after just a few steps, he stopped, slowly crouched down, and hugged his head, sobbing “wuu wuu.”

Chen Feng watched with burning eyes, mumbling: “Stupid… died so stupidly! Who asked you to go, who asked you to go!” His tears fell.

You Mingxu’s face was also covered in tears. Among Yin Feng’s people, Lao Jiu had been the least remarkable, seemingly without special skills and not particularly likable. Who could have imagined that when Yin Feng was attacked, he would sacrifice himself in this way, dying together with Xing Yanjun, even killing and wounding other Punishers!

But he died just like that!

Like an abused child, dying impulsively and tragically before their eyes.

But who isn’t a child? On life’s bewildering yet sweet, painful yet eternally hopeful path, who isn’t a wronged child?

Champion got up from the ground and stumbled toward Lao Jiu’s body, crying as he walked. You Mingxu turned her head, eyes red as she looked at Yin Feng lying on the ground. His wounds were too severe to sit up, so he hadn’t seen what had just happened. Though tears streamed down Chen Feng’s face, his hands still pressed firmly on Yin Feng’s bleeding wounds, refusing to let go.

Yin Feng could barely keep his eyes open, his face frighteningly pale. You Mingxu didn’t know what he was thinking, or what he had heard. His gaze was fixed on the sky.

“Lao Jiu… what happened?” he asked softly, “What did he do? Where… is he?”

You Mingxu froze completely, unable to speak a word, gripping his hand tightly and burying her face in it, letting her tears fall into his palm.
