Dai Wo You Zui Shi – Chapter 265: His Awkwardness (2)

When she returned to the ward, Yin Feng was still asleep at noon. She ate the lunch Chen Feng brought and dozed off on the sofa.

When she woke up, she saw that Yin Feng was already awake, and Chen Feng had just finished feeding him and was cleaning up the dishes. He smiled and said, “While the Boss Lady was sleeping comfortably, I had to feed him and endure his complaints.”

You Mingxu’s face tightened, thinking how quickly gossip spread within their little group. She pretended not to hear and walked to Yin Feng’s side. After Chen Feng left, she asked, “How are you feeling?”

Having heard Chen Feng’s comment, Yin Feng replied coolly, “Fine. What’s this about them calling you Boss Lady?”

You Mingxu gave him a look.

His gaze was deep and distant.

You Mingxu felt he’d grown even more difficult than before, and deliberately said coldly, “Did I agree to that? No, I didn’t.”

Yin Feng said, “Would you prefer they call you Teacher’s Wife? I think Boss Lady sounds better.”

You Mingxu almost laughed. “Get lost. They should just call me Sister.”

Before she finished speaking, he had caught her hand. Though his grip was gentle, You Mingxu didn’t pull away.

He stared at her. “Then what will you call me? Still that dry ‘Yin Feng’? I don’t like it.”

You Mingxu complied readily: “Teacher Yin.”

His grip tightened slightly: “Call me properly.”

You Mingxu turned away, refusing to engage.

Yin Feng said softly, “Call me A-Feng when others are around. When we’re alone, call me a husband.”

You Mingxu looked up to meet his bright eyes, feeling something indescribable in her heart. Those words danced on the tip of her tongue as she called out, “A-Feng.”

A dark light flickered in Yin Feng’s eyes as he hummed in acknowledgment and said, “Come closer.”

You Mingxu, still indulging his injured state, carefully leaned against his chest. He raised one arm to hold her, stroking her hair for a while before saying, “Wrong name. There’s no one else here now.”

You Mingxu: “Don’t push your luck.”

He said: “Pushing my luck is the least of what I want to do.”

You Mingxu found herself at a loss for words. She straightened up and looked at his face, which had seemed somehow gloomy since he’d woken up. “What are you angry about? Everything was fine before—how have I offended you?”

Yin Feng hadn’t expected this sudden question. He paused before saying flatly, “You haven’t offended me. I just… haven’t been feeling well, physically or mentally, lately.”

At his words, You Mingxu immediately thought of Old Nine and believed him somewhat. Though she still felt something was off about Yin Feng, his attitude toward her hadn’t changed. The emotions surging in his eyes remained the same.

So You Mingxu dropped the subject.

After reading to him for a while longer, he said he felt uncomfortable and needed a wash. But with such severe injuries, he couldn’t get wet. You Mingxu consulted the doctor and then brought a basin of hot water to give him a simple sponge bath.

You Mingxu teased, “Feeling smug? Getting a taste of being waited on?”

Yin Feng suddenly realized that You Mingxu had a mischievous side too, just like him.

This thought made him smile as he replied, “Not enough.”

You Mingxu let out a light snort, but her movements remained incredibly gentle as she used the hot towel to wipe his face, then his neck and shoulders. His body had once been very familiar to her, but it had been a long time since she’d touched him so carefully. Maintaining her composure, she wiped his arms. Unable to disturb his injuries, she moved to his intact legs, rolling up his hospital pants to clean them thoroughly.

Yin Feng hadn’t expected being cared for by her would feel like this. It was exceptionally peaceful, time seeming to slow down, that delicate, comfortable sensation seeping from his skin into his entire body.

He gazed at her steadily before suddenly saying, “If you ever leave me, I don’t know what I might do.”

You Mingxu’s hand paused briefly before continuing her gentle motions. “Stop overthinking, and stop threatening me. That’s asking for trouble.”

Yin Feng fell silent.

After finishing, You Mingxu looked him over. “Feel any better?”

He hummed in agreement, then pointed at the bed. “Lie down with me.”

You Mingxu glanced at the hospital bed—it was narrow, with barely enough room for her to lie on her side, and definitely wouldn’t be comfortable. She refused.

Yin Feng frowned. “You won’t even do this?”

You Mingxu thought he really must be off his medication—though not obviously, he seemed secretly unstable. Seeing his dejected expression, she felt an inexplicable urge to smile and carefully lay down beside him, nestling against him.

They were very close. He turned to look at her, his gaze making her heart race, so she closed her eyes.

Only then did he smile—a satisfied, pleased smile, though faint, it lit up his entire face. You Mingxu’s heart felt full like it was steeped in honey. Yu Yingjun had once made her feel this way, but what this man gave her was more intense, more passionate.

After a quiet moment together, he asked softly, “Darling, do you love me?”

You Mingxu’s eyebrow twitched. “Don’t call me that, it’s too mushy.”

He paused before saying, “Language has charm because specific words, evolved and accumulated through culture, can relatively accurately express complex human psychology and emotions. I can’t find a more precise word; this one comes closest.”

You Mingxu was stunned by his explanation, her face reddening as she said quietly, “Can’t you just call me A-Xu? You’re fussing like a woman.”

Yin Feng’s expression cooled. “Come closer.”

She moved nearer, and his voice came low and muffled by her ear: “A-Xu darling… my… sweetheart…”

You Mingxu’s face grew hotter. She remained silent for a while before leaning down to kiss him.

When there was a knock at the door, You Mingxu sprang from the bed like a rabbit. Yin Feng frowned in displeasure, left wanting more. You Mingxu quickly straightened her clothes and sat down beside the bed.

When Chen Feng opened the door and saw the atmosphere in the room, along with Yin Feng’s subtle distaste, everything became clear. He thought to himself that You Mingxu was quite bold—even with Teacher Yin in this state, they were still finding ways to be intimate. Good heavens, these two were truly as close as could be. He’d have to be more careful serving them in the future to avoid being caught in the crossfire of Teacher Yin’s intense possessiveness.
