Dai Wo You Zui Shi – Chapter 277: Sweet (1)

When You Mingxu woke up the next day, it wasn’t too late.

After all, Yin Feng had just been discharged from the hospital – willing but not able. They had gone to sleep before midnight yesterday.

The curtains were drawn, letting in just a sliver of sunlight. She turned to look at the person beside her, still asleep. Regardless, he had been the one exerting himself more.

Asleep, Yin Feng showed neither last night’s stubbornness nor his usual aloofness. His features were peaceful, his handsomeness tinged with an inexplicable hint of foolishness – though that might have just been You Mingxu’s imagination.

She got up, picked up her clothes from the floor, and returned after freshening up to find the curtains half-drawn and Yin Feng awake, wearing a shirt, leaning against the headboard with his arms behind his head, watching her.

You Mingxu felt a lazy satisfaction throughout her body, and she sensed Yin Feng felt the same. She walked to the window, fully drew back the curtains, opened the window, and took a breath of fresh air before saying, “Aren’t you getting up?”

Yin Feng kept watching her, who knows what he was looking at and gave a soft “mm” before heading to the bathroom.

Soon he returned fully dressed and hugged her from behind, lowering his head to kiss her neck.

You Mingxu suddenly realized this was a wonderful feeling – just the two of them, quiet, doing nothing else, yet experiencing a kind of intoxication.

However, after a while, a growling sound broke their silent embrace.

You Mingxu touched her stomach and said, “I’m hungry.”

Yin Feng chuckled and led her out of the room.

Outside, the sun was already high, filling the entire villa with brightness. But it was quiet, everyone had gone somewhere.

Yin Feng was quite pleased about this.

They went down to the dining room, where Yin Feng had You Mingxu sit while he went to the kitchen, soon returning with some food. You Mingxu looked: seafood porridge, milk, crab roe buns… all still steaming. Someone had been keeping food ready for them.

“They know I need to replenish my strength,” Yin Feng said.

You Mingxu gave him a sideways glance.

As usual, she ate faster than him and soon put down her chopsticks, looking up at him. Yin Feng wore a light-colored sweater and black trousers, with bare feet in slippers. Fresh from his shower, his black hair looked especially soft, his face fair and handsome. Seeing You Mingxu studying him, he raised his eyebrows and smiled slightly.

Just from that one look, You Mingxu could tell he was different from how he’d been recently. Hadn’t he been awkward before? With gloom always hiding in his eyes? But now, his temperament had softened and settled, becoming normal!

He seemed even more refreshed than before. He was naturally fair-skinned with defined features, and now with that hint of a smile, his whole person seemed to be wrapped in a faint glow. Indescribably gentle and moving.

You Mingxu suddenly smiled.

She’d heard that saying before about how women’s mood swings could be solved by being coaxed into bed. She used to scoff at it. But now it seemed that certain men were the ones proving this theory…

Yin Feng noticed her smirk and asked, “What are you smiling about?”

“Nothing,” You Mingxu answered nonchalantly. “So you won’t be acting all dramatic anymore, right?”

Yin Feng’s tone turned cold: “When was I ever dramatic?”

You Mingxu playfully lowered her eyes, pursed her lips, and imitated his tone from last night, saying word by word: “Xu’er, if one day you die, what can I do? Suicide!”

She laughed after saying it. Yin Feng didn’t laugh, staring at her for a long while. In the past, such a dark look might have made You Mingxu’s heart skip a beat, but now…

You Mingxu picked up the last crab roe bun: “Are you eating this? If not, your Xu’er will eat it.”

Look at that, even referring to herself the way he did when teasing him.

Yin Feng stood up and walked over. You Mingxu quickly stuffed the bun in her mouth and stood up to dodge, though she wasn’t trying to escape. Yin Feng caught her in one movement, pulling her into his arms and running his hands over her. You Mingxu laughed and struggled for a while until he pinched her a few times firmly. When her face flushed and she settled down, he finally let go, but instead of returning to his seat, he sat beside her and said, “Later, I’ll go with you to pack up, and we’ll move you in this afternoon.”

You Mingxu hesitated slightly and didn’t answer immediately.

Yin Feng gave her a cool look: “Thinking of going back on your word?”

After a night, You Mingxu could hardly remember how she’d agreed to this yesterday. Seeing his aura about to drop again, You Mingxu said, “Okay.”

He looked at her.

She said: “I said okay.”

A faint smile appeared in Yin Feng’s eyes as he leaned forward slightly. You Mingxu somehow understood his meaning and moved closer, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Come to think of it, it had been a long time since Yin Feng had been to You Mingxu’s home.

In the afternoon, they led Tu Ya and Chen Feng, driving to You Mingxu’s building.

Chen Feng exchanged a look with Tu Ya, who seemed to half-understand, and Chen Feng said, “We’ll wait downstairs. Call us when you’re done packing.”

Yin Feng made no response, taking You Mingxu’s hand as they went upstairs.

After they left, Tu Ya asked, “Why aren’t we going up to help?”

Chen Feng lit a cigarette and said with a smile, “Remember how Teacher Yin left this place without looking back? Even took the slide bed with him. Now returning to the old place, and having Boss Lady move in with him. When Boss Lady remembers, she’ll settle accounts with him. Teacher Yin will surely lose face. He’s always been our respected spiritual mentor – how can he properly kneel if we’re watching from the side?”

Tu Ya had a moment of enlightenment, taking the lesson to heart, held back for a moment, and then burst out laughing.

As soon as Yin Feng stepped into You Mingxu’s home, he froze.

This was only his second visit since “waking up.” The first time, he hadn’t even come upstairs, just stayed downstairs to back up Chen Feng who came to move his luggage. Why hadn’t he come up then? Thinking back now, he probably had some emotional hesitation in his heart.

But how could this time be the same? The memories belonging to this “home” were now all vivid in his mind.

The living room was almost exactly as he’d left it. The decorations and plants that Chen Feng had added for him were still in their original places – she hadn’t thrown them away after all.

Yin Feng couldn’t help but glance at the woman walking ahead of him, her expression calm, seemingly unchanged.

Yet Yin Feng could feel traces of bittersweet emotions churning in his chest.

You Mingxu said, “Have a seat, I’ll go pack,” and walked into the bedroom.

Yin Feng sat down on the sofa, looking around, but his mind was filled with countless memories of himself imitating You Mingxu, hugging his knees, curled up on the sofa. Whether acting cute with her or secretly watching her. Sometimes she seemed not to notice, letting him snuggle close; other times, she’d only let him sit in place, not allowing him to move…

As he thought about it, Yin Feng smiled. Those feelings, which he’d experienced in such a daze back then, only now could he truly savor how sweet they were – sweet enough to make one’s spirit soar.
