Dai Wo You Zui Shi – Chapter 43

Then Yin Feng smiled at her, showing his white teeth, his eyes full of light.

You Mingxu walked up to him with her bag slung over her shoulder and asked, “How long have you been waiting?”

“An hour.”

“Don’t wait next time.”

He didn’t respond, didn’t say okay.

They walked home side by side, casting long shadows on the ground. Yin Feng said, “Miss Yu, my shadow is longer than yours.” You Mingxu smiled. He put his hand on top of her head, then compared it to his shoulder, chuckling softly before taking her bag. You Mingxu said, “I can carry it myself.”

“Let me, or you won’t grow any taller,” he said.

You Mingxu: “Hey, I’m 166 centimeters.”

“I’m 186.”

Just before reaching the residential complex entrance, You Mingxu stopped. Yin Feng followed her gaze to see a business van parked by the road. A tall, refined man in a suit was leaning against it. Behind him stood four or five expressionless men.

The suited man stared at You Mingxu with an ambiguous smile, glancing at Yin Feng as well. Yin Feng strongly disliked how he looked at You Mingxu; his smile immediately vanished, his lips pressing tight.

You Mingxu acted as if Luo Yu didn’t exist, leading Yin Feng toward the complex entrance. Then Luo Yu spoke: “Mingxu, I go away on a business trip for a few days, and you’ve already found someone? “

Yin Feng suddenly stopped, but You Mingxu didn’t want to deal with this madman at all, snapping: “Ignore him, keep walking.”

“I heard he’s an idiot. Never thought you’d be into that. Or is it just because he has a pretty face? You Mingxu, are you treating me like I’m dead? Keeping a man at home?”

You Mingxu took a deep breath. Ever since Luo Yu had shown his true colors to her, his behavior had become increasingly erratic. Did he consider himself her man? Do all social degenerates have such warped minds?

Suddenly she couldn’t take it anymore.

She turned around, about to explode, when someone suddenly pulled her back, and Yin Feng’s tall figure stood in front of her. You Mingxu was startled, staring at his black hair from behind, finding it rather novel to be protected by him.

Yin Feng said: “Miss Yu taking care of me is none of your business.”

You Mingxu: “…”

Even Luo Yu was taken aback by Yin Feng’s response and then burst into laughter. His lackeys behind him doubled over with laughter too. From You Mingxu’s angle, she could see Yin Feng’s ears turning red, his hanging hands clenched into fists.

“Enough,” You Mingxu said.

Luo Yu stopped laughing, his eyes dark and deep, giving his men a look. They immediately surrounded Yin Feng.

“Mingxu, step aside,” Luo Yu said flatly.

“Yin Feng, step aside,” You Mingxu said just as flatly.

Annoyance flashed across Luo Yu’s face as he stared at You Mingxu, raising his hand slightly.

“You know what?” You Mingxu suddenly said, “Luo Yu, I still can’t figure it out. You don’t like me as much as you claim. What exactly do you want from me?”

Luo Yu remained silent.

One thug made the first move, throwing a punch at Yin Feng. Yin Feng, formerly a fitness enthusiast who had trained in kickboxing, with his well-toned muscles – which explained how he’d previously fought with You Mingxu – pressed his lips together, about to engage in the fight. Unexpectedly, You Mingxu intercepted from the side, neither dodging nor blocking, and with a “thud,” the punch landed squarely on her face.

This stunned the punching thug, and the other fighters fell silent. Luo Yu raised his unpredictable eyes to watch as You Mingxu’s cheek visibly swelled and reddened.

Yin Feng only felt a “buzz” in his head, that sound of flesh hitting flesh seeming to echo in his ear. He was completely shocked – You Mingxu had been hit. In his eyes, she had always been invincible. His mind suddenly emptied of everything except the desire to fight them to the death! Just as he was about to roar and charge forward, someone lightly grabbed his collar and pushed him aside.

“Ah, assaulting a police officer.” A light voice rang out beside him, seemingly carrying a broken bloody taste. Yin Feng looked up to see the woman with her swollen cheek, but her lips curled into a contemptuous smile. Then she moved.

Quick as a rabbit, graceful as a dragon. That was her.

She stepped forward, grabbed the still-extended arm of her attacker, and with a turn, the man cried out in alarm as he was violently thrown to the ground. A “crack” sounded, followed by an even more miserable scream of “It hurts!” as You Mingxu had already broken his joint.

The others exchanged glances before rushing in together. Yin Feng, like a small black panther, suddenly charged at the largest and most fierce-looking one, the two becoming entangled in combat. The man had initially underestimated Yin Feng, seeing only a pretty face with apparent mental issues, wanting to quickly deal with him to help his boss catch the woman. He never expected this young man’s strikes to be so vicious, continuing to attack even after being hit, as if disregarding his own life. The man began to feel intimidated, and once Yin Feng sensed this hesitation, he fought even more fiercely. Eventually, the big man found himself being beaten down, falling to the ground with Yin Feng mounting him, delivering several hard punches until the man was dazed, moaning for mercy.

Meanwhile, in contrast to their brutal fistfight, You Mingxu’s movements were incredibly agile. Her body flashed out of the encirclement, first grabbing one man from behind around the waist – he froze, never having been grabbed so skillfully in a fight. You Mingxu had already stepped back twice, out of the circle, and with a whirlwind-quick side throw, slammed him hard onto the pavement. He too howled in pain. You Mingxu bounced up, dodging two punches, charged forward to directly knock one man down, and pressed her knee into his chest and stomach, causing him to cry out in pain. Without even rising, she delivered a side elbow strike to another man’s stomach – this was a combat technique. That man grimaced in pain and tried to counterattack, but You Mingxu rolled on the ground, avoiding the attack, and ending up behind him. She stood up with a sneer. The man’s heart instantly chilled, and before he could turn around, he felt his body lift into the air as if pulled by an extremely gentle yet tenacious force, losing balance, feet leaving the ground inexplicably, face smashing heavily downward, accompanied by two light sounds as two teeth were knocked out, his mouth full of blood.

In just a minute or two, all five men Luo Yu had brought were taken down. Even Luo Yu could hardly believe his eyes. Before pursuing You Mingxu, he’d heard of her reputation and knew she was a formidable female officer, but had never seen her in action. That’s why he’d brought plenty of men today. Who would have thought she’d dispatch them all with just a few moves – they weren’t even worth her effort.

Luo Yu then looked at Yin Feng getting up from the ground, with one of his men lying there, taken down by him. Luo Yu’s expression grew darker. Previously, no matter what tactics he used, You Mingxu remained indifferent, never falling for his provocations or acting rashly. Now, for this idiot, she willingly took a punch, just to establish the charge of “assaulting an officer,” then legitimately beat up all his men! This woman was already cunning enough, but could she have genuine feelings for an idiot?

Luo Yu smiled coldly. You Mingxu stood her ground, their eyes meeting. Yin Feng ran to her side, watching their exchange of glances, that uncomfortable feeling rising again.

Luo Yu: “Let’s go!” The thugs stumbled into the car, which sped away.

You Mingxu knew clearly that this would thoroughly enrage that madman, there would be consequences. But the fight was done, she’d held back for a long time, and it felt good to let loose. She’d deal with whatever came next when it came, just needed to be more careful from now on.

Her whole body relaxed as she stretched a bit, though her face still stung fiercely. Just as she was about to cover it with her hand, another hand reached over from the side, carefully cradling her face.

You Mingxu looked up at him.

Yin Feng’s fair skin was still flushed from the fight. His lips were pressed tight as he stared at her.

“Don’t ever take a hit again. Not even for me,” he said. “You could have let me take the hit, you’d still have had reason to fight back, right?”

You Mingxu thought, he actually understood that she’d deliberately taken that hit – he was learning. But what was this tone? “Don’t ever”? Is this kid trying to boss her around now?

You Mingxu smiled and said: “You think you can control me?”

She walked a few steps forward before he caught up, his voice muffled: “I will control you. Just watch me. I definitely will.”
