I didn’t touch George because he appeared unaware of your and Ivan’s plans. Why would a fired security chief try to shoot me? Do you think I haven’t figured it out? Your good friend on the city council posed quite a threat to me… Unfortunately for you, he died too early.”

Allen quietly reassured Xia Xiaolan, “The doctor will be here soon.”

The doctor and police arrived almost simultaneously, with the police arriving slightly faster and taking Mrs. Wilson away.

Harold didn’t even try to stop them. He wasn’t worried about such minor charges being insufficient to punish Cynthia and Ivan. As he said, the couple would eventually be crushed by their schemes – they courted Tina not for her small inheritance, but for Zhang Jiandong’s remaining influence.
