Wo Yu Cheng Feng – Chapter 119 – Little Ling Luo (Part 1)

The immortal sects of the cultivation world rarely acted with such unity, driving back the myriad demons that had escaped from their seals to wreak havoc in the mortal realm, and crushing the conspiracy to forcibly open the path between the two realms, successfully maintaining order in the mortal world.

As the conflicts gradually subsided, they began to address their internal affairs.

During this time, Ling Luo and Yue Liangze were managing the entire Tianzhaozhan Mountain, occasionally venturing out to help resolve demon lords that cultivators couldn’t defeat. Tianzhaozhan Mountain was vast, with numerous celestial treasures and secret realms hidden among its flowery streams and rivers.

In their previous life, one had been focused solely on cultivation, intending only to perish together with the Heavenly Way, while the other had revolved only around her. Neither had time to properly explore the entirety of Tianzhaozhan Mountain.

Yue Liangze concentrated on building houses and planting flowers and plants, while Ling Luo searched the entire mountain for celestial treasures.

Within a month, the celestial treasures she brought back filled an entire room—cabinets, desks, beds, even the floor was completely covered.

Yue Liangze stood at the doorway, not knowing where to step as there was simply no room.

Fortunately, he had built enough houses and courtyards that even if Ling Luo brought back more, there would be space for everything.

After several days, Ling Luo finally rested, hugging Suiwu and occupying a tiny corner of the bed.

Yue Liangze helped clear away the randomly placed items to create a passable path, painstakingly making a way to the bedside, then arranging the objects piled on the bed, creating space for himself before lying down and embracing her, falling asleep in this house of celestial treasures.

As dawn approached, while Yue Liangze was still sleeping, a soft little hand gently patted his face, and a childish voice called out, “Yue Liangze, wake up.”

Yue Liangze awoke to find a pair of clear, bright eyes staring at him.

A tiny figure shrouded in oversized clothes struggled to extend a hand in front of him, looking quite dejected.

Yue Liangze never imagined that when he awoke, Ling Luo would have transformed into a little girl.

He propped himself up, listening to that childish, soft voice exclaim in exasperation, “Something must have gone wrong! Why haven’t you changed too?”

Yue Liangze reached out to touch her face. So small, and so adorable.

Ling Luo opened her mouth with a “woof” to bite his hand, but he dodged. “Don’t laugh!” she demanded.

Yue Liangze smiled and patted her head. “There are too many things in this room. When certain celestial treasures mix, different effects can occur.”

He rose, still smiling, and began searching the room for the culprit while Ling Luo, shrouded in her oversized clothes with only her head visible, directed him irritably.

Ling Luo had been obsessed with treasure hunting these days, bringing back items without organizing them, piling everything together. Yue Liangze searched the room and found a small potted plant watered with Endless Water, hidden in a corner beneath various divine weapons and swords.

He brought it to Ling Luo and asked, “Did you eat any of this?”

Ling Luo glared at the small, green dates hanging from the tiny branches and said, “I ate one last night.”

“You poured Endless Water on this. These spirit fruits were originally meant to enhance cultivation, but Endless Water has a reversing effect. They must have reversed your state back to childhood,” Yue Liangze explained, noticing Ling Luo’s increasingly shocked expression, and couldn’t help turning away to laugh.

“Stop laughing!” Ling Luo snapped.

“Do you know how old you are now?” Yue Liangze asked.

Ling Luo replied through gritted teeth, “Five years old.”

Yue Liangze smiled and walked outside, “I’ll see if Morning Butterfly Golden Dew can solve this.”

Ling Luo wrapped herself in her oversized clothes and followed him down from the bed. The beautiful dress hem dragged on the ground as she stumbled along in the large garment. At the doorway, she stepped on the fabric and slipped forward, but managed to steady herself by grabbing Yue Liangze’s clothes.

Outside, the light was gradually brightening. Yue Liangze’s gaze met Chu Yi’s, who stood on the small path by the courtyard gate. Both were momentarily startled and then their attention was drawn to the small figures at their feet.

Ling Luo looked up and saw a boy in neat, clean clothes holding a jade flute adorned with flowing fireflies standing beside Chu Yi. His clear, bright eyes were looking at her curiously.

After a brief silence, Chu Yi pointed at Ling Luo and asked, “Who is she?”

Ling Luo pointed at the boy in green and asked, “Second Senior Brother?”

Yue Liangze briefly explained what had happened, then looked down to examine the boy in green.

“This morning I was patrolling the coast for sea demons when I found villagers rescuing a child from the sea, holding his jade flute,” Chu Yi said, sitting down at the stone table in the courtyard, his gaze moving between his miniaturized junior brother and sister. “His spiritual energy signature is identical, so I brought him to you.”

Ling Luo stepped up to the boy, her feet tangled in her clothes, and waved her hand in front of his face. “What are you looking at? Don’t you recognize your junior brother?”

The boy, surrounded by strangers, appeared nervous, clutching his jade flute, his gaze avoiding theirs. When Ling Luo approached, he instinctively hid behind Chu Yi, though he couldn’t help peeking out curiously.

Chu Yi stared at Ling Luo and poked her forehead with his index finger. “The person has shrunk, but the temper hasn’t changed.”

Ling Luo cried out as she was poked and lost her balance, falling over.

Yue Liangze bent down to help the flailing Ling Luo up. “He was the bridge connecting the Four Forbidden Beasts to reality. Even though he jumped into the sea with them and had his spiritual consciousness scattered by the black flames, it would eventually gather and reform.”

The Four Forbidden Beasts would not destroy their bridge.

Chu Yi couldn’t help glancing at Ling Luo, who was wiping her forehead with Yue Liangze’s sleeve. So that’s why she hadn’t tried to stop Yu Xiu when he jumped and hadn’t asked about it afterward—she must have known all along.

“But why is he so small?” Chu Yi asked.

Ling Luo muttered, “His spiritual consciousness was completely scattered. It’s already remarkable that enough is gathered to form a human shape. What’s wrong with being small? He’ll grow.”

Chu Yi gave her a sidelong glance. “From what I see, you’re at most three years old. If you grow one year per year, shall we have him wait twenty years for you?”

Ling Luo clutched Yue Liangze’s sleeve into a crumpled mess and said through gritted teeth, “I’m five!”

Chu Yi replied, “You think being five is much better?”

Ling Luo, furious, marched back into the room on her short legs and soon returned carrying the potted plant with the green dates, handing it to them. “You both eat it! Let’s see how old you’ll be after eating!”

Yue Liangze: “…”

Chu Yi patted little Ling Luo’s head, laughing with schadenfreude. “See you in twenty years.”

Ling Luo grabbed his clothes. “Eat together!”

Chu Yi said with disgust, “Let him eat first!”

Yue Liangze looked down at Feiyun Tingshuo and said, “I just asked Senior Brother. We don’t need to wait twenty years. The reversed spiritual energy will return once per day, equivalent to aging one year each day.”

Chu Yi took the potted plant from Ling Luo’s hands and, after examining it with Yue Liangze for a moment, said, “If that’s the case, Bai Cang’s Heaven and Earth Mirror has the power of reversal. We can eliminate the reversing power from her body with it.”

Suiwu laughed and added, “Yes, yes, the Heaven and Earth Mirror can do it. When we were at Shangwujian, we had the best relationship. It will help!”

Ling Luo joined Suiwu in praising the Heaven and Earth Mirror’s beauty and usefulness.

Wusheng:?

Why can the Heaven and Earth Mirror be praised? Why am I, the invincible one, disliked and encouraged to be exchanged?

Duanyi, blinded by jealousy: When the Heaven and Earth Mirror enters this mountain, I’ll break it in two!

Yue Liangze listened quietly while Chu Yi gave Ling Luo a warning look—keep praising it, and you can wait more than ten days to recover!

“The Heaven and Earth Mirror is quite similar to Suiwu, except it can’t reflect scenery, but it has a different kind of beauty. Where is Third Senior Brother?” Ling Luo looked up at the tall Yue Liangze.

Yue Liangze replied, “He’s gone to a distant place to eliminate demons. He won’t be back anytime soon.”

Ling Luo: “…”

Thus, she was forced to accept her transformation into a child.

That afternoon, Mu Xujing came to the mountain peak for his regular report on spell practice. As soon as he stepped through the courtyard gate, he saw a pink-clad little figure instructing a confused boy in blue garments who was fishing by the pond.

Both children were exquisitely beautiful, making him wonder if he had come to the wrong place.

Another Tianji senior brother, not seen for a long time, was sprawled on a nearby lounge chair reading a spellbook.

As Mu Xujing hesitated whether to approach, the pink-clad child called out to him in a clear, crisp voice, “What are you standing there for without moving?”

The milky, childish voice even gave Mu Xujing goosebumps.

Despite the immature voice, the tone was familiar. Mu Xujing walked over, looking oddly up and down at the pink-clad child.

Though the face was delicate and cute, the expression was bored. “Don’t ask. Just know I’m never eating dates again.”

Mu Xujing was completely bewildered.

Chu Yi looked up, examining him. “Let me see how your spell practice is coming along.”

Mu Xujing went over and formed hand seals to summon.

Ling Luo was teaching Yu Xiu how to fish.

“Do you remember anything?” she asked.

Little Yu Xiu shook his head.

Ling Luo asked, “You don’t remember Senior Brother, or me, or Senior Brother Zi Xiu and Senior Brother Zhan Rong?”

Little Yu Xiu shook his head, his expression confused, unfamiliar with all these names.

“That’s good,” Ling Luo said, reaching out to pat his head with a slight smile, leaning in to whisper, “If you remembered, you’d be sent to the inter-realm prison with Senior Brother Zhan Rong to suffer. Even Senior Brother Zi Xiu was punished to seclusion at Blazing Flame Mountain and can only come out after ten years.”

Little Yu Xiu held his jade flute, hesitantly asking, “Did they… do something bad?”

And you have the nerve to ask, being the mastermind!

Ling Luo faced those innocent yet hesitant eyes in silence for a moment, then shook her head with a smile, looking like a little adult. “Nothing much, they just chose the wrong approach.”

Little Yu Xiu, confused, couldn’t fully understand.

The pink-clad little figure said, “Second Senior Brother, don’t look at me. Watch the fishing line, it’s moving.”

Little Yu Xiu hurriedly looked back as the fishing line tugged at the rod. Ling Luo said, “Pull it!”

Little Yu Xiu tried with all his might.

Ling Luo exclaimed, “Don’t think that because you’ve become small, you can slack off and have me help you pull!”

Yu Xiu said, “Too… too heavy, I can’t use my strength.”

Ling Luo blinked. “Senior Brother, don’t become stupid in your second life. Use your spell!”

Yu Xiu, on the verge of tears from her words, replied, “I don’t know how…”

Ling Luo: “…”

Chu Yi rolled his eyes, came over to help him catch the fish, and tossed it into the bucket, pointing at it. “You’re eating this tonight.”

That evening, while others enjoyed delicious food, Yu Xiu silently ate the fish meat in his bowl.

He felt anxious inside, constantly wondering what he had done to offend Chu Yi.

Chu Yi’s anger toward his rebellious junior brother hadn’t subsided. Unable to bully Ling Luo, what was difficult about picking on a junior brother with no memories?

The next morning, Ling Luo had aged another year.

Looking at herself in the bronze mirror, her memories blurred momentarily. At this age, she had been the treasure and heart’s delight of her parents.

That day, Yue Liangze took her away from Tianzhaozhan Mountain to the mortal realm.

He and Chu Yi walked behind, watching the two little figures holding hands and running wildly through the streets.

Yu Xiu was initially shy and reserved, barely speaking, but was soon attracted by the colorful world. New and curious things captivated his eyes, and with a junior sister who excelled at eating, drinking, playing, and having fun leading him, by nightfall he was comfortably calling her “Junior Sister” at every turn.

By nightfall, they stayed at an inn run by a large raccoon cat. It was expensive, so there weren’t many guests.

A table of fine food and wine was set on the balcony, overlooking the courtyard and flowering trees below. The large raccoon cat was surrounded by the two little figures beneath the tree, trembling with fear.

Ling Luo said to Yu Xiu, “This is called a skin spirit, a form of high-level spell. It looks like a large raccoon cat, but it’s a shell controlled by the caster’s spiritual power. Come, try drawing one yourself.”

Yu Xiu nodded and earnestly studied the large raccoon cat as he began to draw.

The large raccoon cat, hugging the tree trunk, wailed, “Little Master! There’s a furry child who looks like Little Mistress!”

Ling Luo pinched its ear and said, “That’s me.”

The raccoon cat, looking at this mortal child’s face, became more terrified. “Little Master! There’s a demon impersonating Little Mistress! Come quickly!”

Ling Luo: “…”

Chu Yi laughed with schadenfreude from the balcony. Yue Liangze was peeling shrimp for Ling Luo and asked, “Are you taking him back to Tianji?”

“What else? Leave him at Tianzhaozhan Mountain?” Chu Yi turned to look at him. “First, he’d disturb your couple’s world, and second, I fear Ling Luo might lead him astray again.”

Yue Liangze: “She wouldn’t.”

Chu Yi: “Then leave him at Tianzhaozhan Mountain to disturb your couple’s world?”

Yue Liangze said, “Take him back to Tianji.”

Chu Yi gave him a contemptuous look as Yue Liangze listened impassively to his complaints. “I was the great villain who destroyed heaven and earth in my past life, so I owe them in this life.”

“Everyone seemed fine, but secretly they were all doing messy things behind my back. Ling Luo is one thing, but what was that bastard Zi Xiu doing getting involved?!”

Chu Yi became increasingly agitated. “That brat deserves to be confined at Blazing Flame Mountain!”

“Don’t worry, Third Senior Brother often visits Senior Brother Zi Xiu at Blazing Flame Mountain,” Yue Liangze said. “He’s doing quite well.”

Chu Yi glared at him. “Who cares about him!”

Yue Liangze’s gaze was calm. “Will Tianji still accept you?”

“It was chaotic before, but now it’s stabilized. Even without a sect leader, there’s still Hall Master Fan and the others,” Chu Yi snorted. “Even if some are dissatisfied, they wouldn’t dare do anything to me when Tianji has suffered such a blow and is desperately short of personnel.”

He was still Tianji’s Senior Brother.

But his personally taught junior brothers and sisters were gone.

Yue Liangze glanced at the courtyard and suggested, “But he’s different. If you take him back to Tianji, the matter of Mu Hengtian won’t be settled so easily.”

Chu Yi said, “Now Qingshi Workshop has become a forbidden area. No one except me can enter. Master spends all day painting in the mirage tower…”

He suddenly stopped mid-sentence.

Yue Liangze seemed focused on the shrimp in his hand. As Chu Yi wondered how to bypass this topic, he heard him say softly, “If he leaves Qingshi Workshop and unfortunately encounters me, he will surely die. You must watch over him carefully.”

In this life, others only knew that Yun Shouxi had evil intentions toward Ling Luo, but Yue Liangze knew he had succeeded in his previous life.

Chu Yi raised his hand to rub his forehead, sighing inwardly.

He knew life would be difficult, but hadn’t expected it to be this hard.

He had to watch over his delusional master, and teach his resurrected but amnesiac junior brother, and when the senior sisters from other immortal sects introduced him, they would always say he had elderly above and young below, never abandoning them, showing great responsibility.

Yet the junior sisters all gave up on capturing Tianji’s Senior Brother, this lofty flower, because of this.
