Synopsis:

Hu Shanwei, who lost her fiancé, is disheartened and forced to steal her household registration in order to sit for the examination to become a female official in the Ming Dynasty Court. This is due to the abuse from her stepmother and the pressure from her father to remarry. After entering the palace, Hu Shanwei becomes embroiled in numerous political and court struggles.
