Chapter 176: So Handsome

Shen Mo was chatting with them.

To avoid arousing those people’s wariness, his posture carried some casualness and ease. His figure was tall and straight, standing high among the crowd like a pine tree, radiating strength in silence.

Bai Youwei watched and couldn’t help but think he was truly handsome.

She stretched out both hands, making a frame with her fingers against the distant scene, embedding him in the “shot.”

His profile was handsome and resolute. Standing among a group of people, he appeared even more distinguished and imposing.

The more she looked, the more she liked what she saw.

Shen Mo seemed to sense something and turned his head slightly to look over.

Their eyes met. Her heartbeat involuntarily quickened by half a beat. With a slightly teasing air, she blinked at him.

She saw his lips move, silently saying something, then he turned back to continue conversing with those people.

Bai Youwei understood.

He’d said two words: “Behave.”

Bai Youwei rested her chin on her hands, sighing to herself: “Ah, even when scolding someone he’s so handsome…”

“Weiwei, do you think they’ll be alright…” Teacher Cheng fretted beside her, always feeling the other party didn’t look like good people.

Bai Youwei was still immersed in her “appreciation,” murmuring: “It doesn’t matter if something happens… he must look even more handsome when hitting people…”

Teacher Cheng: “???”

The conversation lasted only two or three minutes. Shen Mo and Tan Xiao returned and got in the car.

Teacher Cheng quickly asked, “How did it go? What’s the situation in Hangzhou now?”

“Similar to Yangzhou. Many people didn’t wait for rescue teams, and the roads out of the city aren’t safe, so they stayed.” Shen Mo said. “They think near the fog is actually the safest because games almost never appear here. So they only need to ensure sufficient food and water to survive. Of course, this is on the premise that the fog doesn’t expand. Once the fog’s range increases, their living space will be further compressed.”

Bai Youwei asked, “How many people are in Hangzhou now?”

“Not clear.” Shen Mo shook his head lightly. “Without electricity or internet, everyone operates in fixed areas. They occasionally see people from other areas, but no one’s seriously counted.”

Bai Youwei thought for a moment and asked again, “Why were those people so afraid when they saw our car? Did something happen in the city?”

“Afraid we’ll rob them.” Tan Xiao interjected. “According to them, some people who can’t find food will rob others, and some people specifically rob items.”

Bai Youwei blinked. “How do they know the other party has items?”

“Right, how do they know?” Tan Xiao slapped his forehead, annoyed. “I forgot to ask just now. Should I go back and ask?”

Shen Mo shook his head lightly: “Items all look like toys. In times like these, if someone’s carrying toys, they’re definitely items. Also, they can ambush near some game areas. As long as someone comes out of a game, when they let their guard down, the chances of a successful sneak attack are very high.”

Bai Youwei listened thoughtfully, touching her bag. “I wonder if anyone will try to rob me.”

Tan Xiao looked at her expression and asked curiously, “Weiwei, why do I feel like you’re kind of looking forward to it?”

Bai Youwei glared at him fiercely: “Why aren’t you calling me ‘sis’ again!”

Tan Xiao choked, replying glumly: “Sis, looking at your face, I really can’t bring myself to say it…”

Bai Youwei looked too young.

Fair and tender, when she glared with those eyes, she looked like a little princess throwing a tantrum.

Bai Youwei glared at him for a while, then her eyes rolled. She actually didn’t lose her temper, saying proudly: “Fine, I won’t argue with you. I’ll just take it as you complimenting me on being young.”

Tan Xiao nodded: “You are very young.”

“Men all like young women, right?” Bai Youwei asked with a smile.
