“Aren’t you going to do something?!” Li Li turned to Yan Qingwen and Lu Ang desperately.

Lu Ang scrunched his brows. “You’re asking me to go hit a woman…”

Yan Qingwen watched the fight with calm detachment. “Su Man can hold her own for now.”

With even Yan Qingwen saying as much, Bai Youwei and her group were certainly not going to get involved. They watched the show without any attempt to hide it.

“Wow, Su Man is pretty impressive~” Bai Youwei offered a rare, genuine compliment.

She had only seen Su Man crack a whip during the doll house game — she hadn’t expected her hand-to-hand combat to be this good. Even as a complete novice in these matters, Bai Youwei could tell that every move was precise and ruthless, striking with full force, not the least bit inferior to any man.

Of course, the head of the security division was no easy opponent either. Her strikes were decisive, her footwork agile!

Su Man swept with a leg kick; the other woman flipped back to dodge, then reached out to seize Su Man by the shoulder!

Su Man used the momentum to draw close and spun around with a fierce punch!

“What happened to her?” Bai Youwei was puzzled. One moment they had been evenly matched; how had the tide turned so suddenly?

In an instant the situation reversed, and Su Man took several hits in a row, pinned against the wall without the ability to move!

“Su Man has an injury on her right hand.” Zhu Shu frowned.

Yan Qingwen brought his hands together twice, and said with measured composure and a thin smile: “Truly worthy of the head of the security division — remarkable skill. You’ve opened our eyes. May I ask your name?”

The short-haired woman released Su Man, and replied coldly: “Yu Yaqing. If you want to file a complaint, go ahead.”

Zhu Shu stepped forward to help Su Man up. Seeing that Su Man’s injured right hand had swollen completely, she couldn’t help but turn in concern: “Brother Yan, Su Man is hurt.”

Li Li also saw Su Man’s injury and frowned, rebuking her: “Look at you — you knew your injury wasn’t healed yet, and you still rushed out to fight! You couldn’t even beat her!”

She bit her lip and didn’t finish the sentence. She cast an indignant look at Yu Yaqing, then bowed her head unwillingly and moved with Zhu Shu back behind Yan Qingwen, visibly seething with resentment.

Yan Qingwen said in an even tone: “Speaking of a complaint — that would be an overstatement. Attempting to enter the conference center without a pass was a fault on our side to begin with. Now that one of our party is injured, it seems we’re not in a fit state to attend the banquet… So then, we apologize for the disturbance, and we’ll take our leave.”

When Yan Qingwen said this, his manner was perfectly courteous — yet once he was truly angered, he left not the slightest room for negotiation.

Li Li hurried after him. “Brother Yan! Brother Yan! Don’t go — Professor Song will be done with the meeting any moment!… Where are you all going?”
