Propelled by the rubber band’s recoil, Jiang Hao’s body shot up into the air! In an instant he was a hundred meters above the ground!

He gripped the outer window frame of the gondola tightly, and the rubber band shrank back to its original short length.

Below, the cat slammed against the base of the Ferris wheel in futile frustration, steel on steel producing a series of resounding booms, and the gondola swayed ceaselessly.

So staying here was fine for now — temporarily quite safe.

“The rubber band just now!” Luo Bin roared in sudden fury. “A rubber band that can wrap around anything — that can extend without limit! That was clearly A’Qiang’s item! Why does it have it on you?!”

“Because…” Jiang Hao stepped back half a pace. “The reason is…”

Luo Bin bore down on him. “What reason?!”

“Because…”

Jiang Hao suddenly smiled. He extended his hand toward Luo Bin. “Because of this —”

A length of iron pipe shot out without warning!

It drove through Luo Bin’s midsection, and the force of it launched him clean out of the gondola, sending him plummeting!

Jiang Hao curled the corner of his mouth into a cold smile and retracted the pipe without haste.

He walked to the edge of the now-empty gondola door and gave a sardonic answer: “Because, naturally… someone killed him, you fool.”

At that moment!

A hand suddenly seized his ankle!

All color drained from Jiang Hao’s face!

On pure reflex he tried to wrench his foot away, but the other person’s grip was stronger — with one vicious yank, his entire body was dragged outward! Only one hand hooked frantically onto the edge of the doorframe!

“Let go! Let go of me!!!” Jiang Hao screamed in terror!

Luo Bin’s eyes were bloodshot, locked on his ankle with an iron grip!

Jiang Hao tried to reach into the gloves for a weapon or a puzzle piece! But the gloves required both hands clasped together before they could be used!

His grip gave out in short order, and with a howl of anguish, Luo Bin wrenched him down with savage force!
