A work…?
A novel…?
I suddenly had a good idea… write a novel!
Back then, I casually made up a story that caused such a huge uproar—this proved I had talent!
So I began slowly researching and came up with many ideas.
I was very optimistic about my work, because it could not only showcase my talent, but also prove I had once come to this world. It was evidence of my existence.
At first I established a very grand world setting. I planned to write a time-travel novel where the protagonist constantly traveled through history to complete missions.
But I was wrong—this exceeded my abilities.
My time was only a day and a half, but this book needed at least a million words to finish.
Could a normal person, without eating, drinking, or sleeping, input a million words within a day and a half?
I tried many times, but no matter what, I couldn’t write to completion.
The closest I came to finishing was when I heavily compressed the story. When I was just one chapter away from full completion, I was somehow possessed to proofread it one more time before the earthquake came. It was precisely this proofreading that cost me the chance to finish.
A day and a half was really too little time.
I no longer had the courage to write it again.
My typing speed was only over four thousand characters per hour. How could I possibly finish a novel in one day?
So I thought of a second theme. I created a character called “Chu Qi.” He wielded a “Seven Black Sword” and punished evildoers in the jianghu.
This novel’s expected completion word count was only two hundred thousand words. If I worked hard, I was confident I could finish writing it within a day and a half.
But later, a turning point appeared in my life.
After how many loops did I meet that person?
I calculated—about two hundred and sixty loops.
That day I finished writing the entire “Seven Black Sword” and was in a very good mood.
This was my seventh time finishing “Seven Black Sword” in one day.
I seemed to be increasingly familiar with this novel’s plot, and this work was becoming more effortless.
I held a can of beer and, as usual, drank at home while waiting for the earthquake to arrive.
I was in a good mood today, so I prepared to start arguing with Chen Junnan directly after entering the room.
When I opened my eyes in the room, everyone around me looked shocked. I knew they were stuck, so I didn’t pay attention.
But a few seconds later, I was also shocked.
There was one extra person in this room!!
What was going on?!
I had already woken up in a room of eight people for two hundred and sixty consecutive times, so why were there nine people in the room this time?!
Just two minutes later, I calmed down.
This extra person was also a young guy who looked pretty good. According to my experience, good-looking people had no brains.
Just like Chen Junnan.
I took the opportunity to look at Chen Junnan. This look was serious—it gave me quite a fright.
Chen Junnan was smiling with tears streaming down his face, his expression looking especially complex. He stared intently at the extra person.
He seemed to have something he wanted to say, but couldn’t say anything. In the end, he revealed a completely twisted smiling expression.
What was going on?
Did they know each other?
I had never seen Chen Junnan show this kind of expression. He seemed crazy!
“But… being crazy is good…” I thought to myself. This way, couldn’t he listen to my instructions and vote?
When everyone had finished telling their stories, before I could guide everyone to vote, the newcomer suddenly picked up paper and pen and began calculating.
What was this… what was he calculating?
In just a moment, he stated his deduction.
This deduction left me completely stunned.
Oxygen? Oxygen content?!
My goodness… so the grids on the wall were used to calculate area?!
The central clock was used to calculate time?!
I, I take back my words… this person doesn’t seem to be stupid.
He said his name was Qi Xia.
He was too smart. He probably wasn’t here to cause trouble…
He was just like a character from the novels I wrote… he was a “Savior”!!
Right, why didn’t I think of it? This person came specifically to save me!!
But next, something completely unexpected happened. Even if all of us voted for Man-Goat, the game wouldn’t end.
This damned place actually had a second round of games!
It was called “Spring Bamboo Shoots After Rain”!
This was my first time seeing this kind of scene… I was too scared!
Even with the “Savior” beside me, I couldn’t suppress my own fear.
I was actually shot through the throat by a harpoon and died on the spot!
Damn it!
Damn it!!
What kind of ghost luck was this?!
But fortunately, I had hope.
It seemed “writing novels” really was a wise move. I could gradually use the plot of novels to explain my predicament.
This thing was called “Infinite Rebirth”! Because I was the protagonist, I would experience some setbacks at the beginning. Chen Junnan was my setback.
He would suppress the protagonist’s cultivation, or constantly create difficulties for the protagonist. This was all a manifestation of accumulating strength, and also a writing technique of suppressing before elevating.
After experiencing certain setbacks, my “Savior” would appear. That person was Qi Xia.
As long as I followed him, he would lead me to continuously complete missions. I would slowly find a way out, and might even possibly become invincible under heaven.
This was exactly like a novel.
I somewhat looked forward to the next earthquake!!
Haha! Savior!! I’m coming!!
But when I opened my eyes in the room again, I was confused again.
There were now ten people in the room…
I really didn’t understand. What did this mean?
How was there another woman added?
What did you all think this place was? You could just come whenever you wanted?
There was no such plot in the novel!
What I didn’t expect even more was that within less than a minute of Chen Junnan waking up, he was killed by the goat-headed person!
I truly had mixed feelings… Chen Junnan died, which meant no one would cause trouble anymore, but why was he killed?
Would I be next?
But… it didn’t matter anyway.
After all, Qi Xia was still so smart. No matter what choice he made in the next games, I would unconditionally believe in him.
Not only had I read novels, I had also written novels. Could I not understand this principle?
The protagonist absolutely couldn’t be stupid. He had to obediently follow in the footsteps of powerful seniors. Only this way could he reach the best ending.
But the harpoon was really too terrifying. Since I had once been shot through the throat by a harpoon, this time I started trembling in advance. I really couldn’t control it. Even with the “Savior” beside me, I couldn’t control it.
I kept thinking “don’t hit me” in my heart, but unexpectedly, I was still hit.
But this time I didn’t die—I was merely shot through the shoulder.
I understood… this was a setback the protagonist would definitely encounter.
Don’t look at me being injured—I would soon have a fortuitous encounter… If the protagonist was injured, there was a high probability a beautiful female doctor would appear. They would take out miraculous pills. I only needed to eat one and I could…
Damn it, I couldn’t keep making this up. My shoulder really hurt.
Protagonists in novels never shouted about pain, but now it seemed a bit too fake… Next time I’d have to revise the plot.
When it should hurt, I had to shout about the pain. Let him be a protagonist with flesh and blood.
I had to praise Qi Xia. He really was somewhat impressive. If not for his appearance, I would never have known there were actually four games in this room.
What goats, dogs, snakes, and such.
Even if an entire zoo came, I wouldn’t be afraid. After all, I had the “Savior” with me. What did you all plan to do to me?
He came specifically to save me, clearing obstacles for me along the way.
Obviously, this would be the plot of my counterattack to godhood.
