Chapter 284: The Outlier Among Zodiacs

Black Goat on the side crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back, sitting up straight. “If you think it’s presumptuous, then leave. Yang Ge isn’t your teacher. There’s no need for him to be imposed upon by your presumptuousness.”

Baiyang glanced at Black Goat but didn’t refute this statement.

A few seconds later, Man-Pig dropped to his knees with a thud.

“Yang Ge… you know my teacher could never help me… Right now, you’re the only one I can rely on…”

Man-Pig’s tone sounded very desperate. He was clearly a middle-aged man, yet at this moment he knelt with his head bowed like a slave.

“Stand up,” Baiyang said coldly. “Kneeling will make me look down on you.”

After hearing this, Man-Pig paused, then slowly straightened his body and stood up, supporting himself on his knees.

“What exactly is this about?” Baiyang asked again.

“Yang Ge… I’m only about twenty ‘Tao’ short of being able to sign a contract… but my teacher makes things difficult for me at every turn… He takes more and more each day…” Man-Pig’s voice gradually choked up. “I just want to walk out of here fair and square… I…”

“Just say directly what you want.”

Man-Pig paused, then looked up and said, “I want to sign a contract. I want to break away from my current teacher…”

Baiyang and Black Goat looked at each other and showed peculiar expressions.

“Isn’t that treasonous talk?” Baiyang said. “Once word gets out, you’re dead.”

“But you won’t let it get out!” Man-Pig said anxiously. “Yang Ge, I’ll be able to complete my quota soon. Right now I just need a final safeguard at this critical moment… I hope Yang Ge can help me. Once I become ‘Earth-Level,’ I’ll absolutely stand on your side.”

After hearing this, Black Goat glanced at Baiyang from the corner of his eye. He didn’t know what choice this man would make.

Baiyang slowly stood up and said, “Pig, you mean… you want to add ‘lies’ to your ‘probability game’?”

“Yes.”

“But you also know… once a game is set, it can’t be privately modified unless…”

“Unless I bet my life. I know,” Man-Pig nodded. “If I continue being exploited like this, not only will I not be able to sign a contract, I might even be beaten to death by my teacher. If I’m just one step away from the goal… I’ll decisively stake my life on it.”

After hearing this, Baiyang pondered for a long while, then finally nodded.

He turned around, took out two pairs of glasses from a drawer in the room, and handed them to Pig.

Black Goat slowly narrowed his eyes watching this scene, taking a deep breath.

“These two pairs of glasses were game props from when I was a ‘Man-Goat,'” Baiyang said. “When you wear them, one pair only allows you to tell the truth, the other only allows you to tell lies. They’re yours now.”

“You’re… giving them to me?” Man-Pig looked at the two pairs of glasses in disbelief.

“But I’ll say this in advance…” Baiyang returned to sit at the table. “These two pairs of glasses could either be a miraculous elixir that will help you when you escape, or they could be an endless abyss that will turn all your efforts to bubbles. It depends on how you use them.”

“Yang Ge…” Man-Pig looked up somewhat embarrassed. “I’ve never designed a lie-based game… Could I ask you… to give me some advice?”

“No,” Baiyang shook his head. “You and I have no connection. This is all I can do for you.”

After hearing this, Man-Pig nodded. “Yes… Yang Ge, I’m sorry. I’m already very grateful that you could give me this.”

“Design the ‘lie’ portion yourself,” Baiyang said. “Whether you live or die depends on your own fortune.”

“Alright!” Man-Pig nodded. “Yang Ge, I hope that at the critical moment… your props can save my life.”

“Let’s hope so.”

Baiyang and Black Goat watched as Man-Pig walked out of the room. The atmosphere fell silent again.

After a long while, Black Goat slowly spoke. “Yang Ge… so you’ve been keeping props from when you were ‘Man-Level’?”

“Yes. Why?” Baiyang turned to look at him.

“No… nothing,” Black Goat shook his head.

“You want to say ‘You clearly have such convenient props, yet instead of giving them to me, you gave them to an outsider,’ right?”

“I…” Black Goat was slightly stunned. “Yang Ge, how could I think that…”

“You and Mouse are two extremes,” Baiyang said with a smile. “She never lies, you never speak honestly.”

Black Goat’s gaze darkened slightly, but he still smiled and said, “Yang Ge, this is what you taught me—never reveal your true thoughts at any time…”

“Is that so?” Baiyang smiled. “The skills I taught you—you use them on me?”

“That’s not…” Black Goat stood up somewhat flustered. “Yang Ge, you’ve misunderstood. I’m just…”

“Enough, no need to say more,” Baiyang waved his hand. “This is a good thing. Among the few of you, you might be the first to enter Earth-Level.”

After hearing this, Black Goat sat down with a complex expression.

As the two sat in silence, the door was suddenly thrown open.

“Yang Ge! This is bad!” Man-Tiger shouted from outside the door. “Little Mouse has run into trouble… We need you to handle it!”

Baiyang slowly stood up. “So flustered… Is there really something you two can’t solve?”

“The situation is indeed quite thorny…” Man-Snake rushed in and said. “The little girl has been taken by Earth-Snake!”

Upon hearing this, Baiyang and Black Goat instantly narrowed their eyes. The two of them rushed out the door one after the other.

Several people sprinted through the corridor. Man-Tiger told Baiyang what he had just learned from the two Man-Rabbits.

“That old lecher Earth-Snake has really gone mad…” Black Goat said through gritted teeth. “Stealing people was one thing before, but Mouse only left Yang Ge’s place a few minutes ago. This is far too improper!”

“It seems Little Mouse said herself that she ‘has no teacher,'” Man-Tiger said with worried eyes. “We need to hurry… If we could beat that old thief ourselves, we absolutely wouldn’t trouble Yang Ge.”

“Stop the nonsense.”

The group quickly walked past dozens of doors and finally arrived in front of Earth-Snake’s room.

Baiyang loosened the buttons of his suit, then unfastened his cufflinks.

“Yang Ge… what’s the tactic?” Man-Tiger asked somewhat nervously.

After all, behind this door was not only Earth-Snake, but also several of his male and female disciples.

“I’ll beat Earth-Snake. You beat the others.”

“Beat…?” Man-Tiger was slightly stunned, then showed a smile. “That’s so like you, Yang Ge. I completely understand your tactics now.”

The three “Zodiacs” behind Baiyang all unfastened the buttons of their suits. After they loosened up their muscles and bones a bit, Baiyang flew up with a kick and sent the wooden door flying.

The scene inside the room made the four of them burn with fury.

A withered elderly snake-headed man was naked, embracing Man-Mouse, and was currently tearing at her clothes. Around them, countless naked men and women were shouting and cheering.

Everyone was startled by the four people who barged in.

“Earth-Goat…?” Earth-Snake turned his head to look, then showed a puzzled expression. “What are you doing?”

“I came to pick up the child,” Baiyang said while moving his wrists as he walked forward.
