Chapter 331: The Curtain Falls

“Bold.” Xuanwu said coldly, “Pass the question within five seconds.”

“You crazy woman!!” Earth-Snake felt panic surge through his heart, his legs went weak, and even the iron ball he had struggled to lift fell back down. “Urge, urge, urge! Urge your mother!”

Xuanwu waited quietly outside the door for a few seconds, then reached out and opened the door.

But her way of opening the door was different from everyone else’s. She pulled the door sideways, and the wooden door was compressed into powder.

“Earth-Snake, foul, death.”

Xuanwu gently waved her hand, and all the metal in front of her seemed to have been cut by something. Everything began to shake, transforming into small cubes that scattered across the floor like beans.

However, she had used quite a bit of force. The walls on both sides of Earth-Snake’s room were also completely cut through, and Chen Junnan and Xu Qian could see each other through the openings.

“Earth-Snake, die.”

Earth-Snake saw Xuanwu’s appearance and instantly collapsed to the ground.

“Wait a moment!!” Earth-Snake roared, “I, I can make the phone call now! I’ll make the phone call right away!!”

“Too late.”

“Too… late?”

After hearing this, Earth-Snake gritted his teeth and glared. Before Xuanwu could make a move, he immediately extended his palm and thrust it toward her chest.

Xuanwu didn’t dodge, allowing that palm to pierce through her body.

Earth-Snake felt as if his hand had stabbed into straw—the sensation was empty and scattered.

Xuanwu’s body wasn’t like an ordinary physical body at all.

“Oh…?” Xuanwu paused slightly, a hint of delight appearing in her eyes. “You want to kill me?”

Hearing this sentence, all the blood in Earth-Snake’s body ran cold.

“I was wrong! Wrong, wrong!” He yanked his hand back forcefully. “I didn’t dare kill you… it’s all a misunderstanding…”

“You don’t even dare to kill me…”

The delight in Xuanwu’s eyes gradually transformed into disappointment. She slowly extended her hand into the air and gently closed it. A purple-red object was already gripped in her hand.

Looking carefully, she was holding a constantly beating, foul-smelling heart.

“Ah!!” Earth-Snake clutched his chest and screamed, “You crazy woman! Why won’t you let me go?!”

He completely lost his reason and began cursing continuously: “You don’t even wear clothes! Don’t you know what kind of thing you are?! What gives you the right to dare kill me?!”

“Bold.” Xuanwu casually squeezed, and the purple-red heart exploded like fireworks in her hand.

Earth-Snake gasped, spewed out a large mouthful of fresh blood, then clutched his chest and slowly collapsed to the ground.

Although Chen Junnan and Xu Qian witnessed this scene, they only stared wide-eyed, not daring to make the slightest sound.

Xu Qian even covered her mouth with her hand.

This woman called Xuanwu looked absolutely terrifying. Her hair draped over her body like clothing, yet her cold gaze could pierce through the strands of hair and project outward, making people’s hearts turn cold with fear.

Her method of killing was also unusual—it didn’t seem like enhanced physical strength or an “Echo,” but rather like magic.

“Hehehe… cough cough…” Earth-Snake wasn’t quite dead yet. He continued crawling forward on the ground. “I haven’t… gained nothing after all…”

He inched closer to Xuanwu bit by bit: “The entire ‘Land of Terminus’… the most fearsome woman… cough cough… since I’m going to die anyway… I might as well feel… how you’re different from everyone else…”

He pushed aside Xuanwu’s long hair that hung to the floor and reached out to touch her leg.

Xuanwu waved her hand lightly, and Earth-Snake’s entire arm flew off.

“Bold.”

Xuanwu extended both hands, her fingers moving slightly as if playing an ancient zither in the air. Then Earth-Snake’s body transformed into sections of severed limbs, like meat chopped by random blades.

Each section of his body twitched separately, then stopped one by one.

The Earth-level zodiac who had committed countless evil deeds died in Xuanwu’s hands like livestock.

“The life-gambling ends.” Xuanwu said in a low voice. “The game ends.”

She lightly waved her hand, and at that moment, all the room doors opened. From most of the rooms, the smashed flesh and blood poured out, carrying a foul smell that converged into a horrifying river of gore.

“Everyone’s ‘Dao’ are here.” Xuanwu extended her hand again, and forty-eight “Dao” flew out from the podium in the center of the venue, lying quietly on the ground. “Earth-Snake’s corpse and the venue are for everyone to divide among yourselves. Farewell.”

Four survivors who could still move walked out of their doors—Yan Zhichun, Zhong Zhen, Xu Qian, and Yun Yao. They looked around but didn’t see Xuanwu’s figure. She seemed to have already left.

“Where’s Chen Junnan?!” Yun Yao was the first to react. She ran to the next door and looked at the situation inside the room.

That single glance made her gasp in shock.

Chen Junnan’s entire body was covered with wounds from being scraped by iron spikes, deep beyond measure. Because he had lost so much blood, at first glance it was difficult to tell where the wounds even were.

“Chen…”

Yun Yao ran to Chen Junnan’s side and looked him up and down. His entire body was still bleeding: “You… what about you?”

Xu Qian also ran over right after.

This was the first time she seriously looked at Chen Junnan’s face. Previously, she had only heard his voice and thought he must be quite a sleazy person, but she didn’t expect him to be exceptionally handsome.

“Hey… are you dying?” Xu Qian asked.

“Heh? That voice, you’re Qian-jie?” Chen Junnan stood up with effort. “I didn’t expect Qian-jie to be a great beauty too… this young master is doing just fine. I still need to go back and show off to Old Qi, so how could I possibly die here?”

As soon as he finished speaking, Chen Junnan’s body became completely uncontrollable. Like a falling tree, he toppled forward. Yun Yao quickly reached out to support him.

Chen Junnan’s body had become very light.

Xu Qian was about to reach out her hand but silently pulled it back. It seemed the girl next to him and Chen Junnan were a couple. Both of them were exceptionally good-looking, so they must be a pair, right?

“Big star… you should let me go first…” Chen Junnan steadied his body again and pushed away Yun Yao’s hand. “This young master has stood against the wind since childhood, so how can I trouble you…”

“I’m saying, stop pretending.” Yun Yao said helplessly. “If I don’t support you, you won’t even be able to make it back…”

“This young master isn’t afraid of death.” Chen Junnan smiled. “My physical condition really is a bit poor. I’ll find a good feng shui spot in a bit and just die there. I’ll leave the task of spreading this young master’s glorious deeds to you…”

“Stop talking nonsense.” Yun Yao said. “Stand up, I’ll carry you back.”

“You…?” Chen Junnan smiled. “This young master doesn’t want to exhaust you to death…”

“I’ve been dancing for ten years, my stamina is better than most people. There’s a doctor in your room, right?” Yun Yao draped Chen Junnan’s arm over her shoulder. “If we can find a doctor, maybe you can still be saved.”

Chen Junnan looked somewhat uncomfortable, his hand constantly trying to pull back.

“Yo…” Yun Yao was amused by Chen Junnan. “Don’t overthink it, I don’t like guys.”

“Yes… this young master knows… but it still feels a bit presumptuous…”

While the two were talking, they heard a commotion from the other side. Xu Qian and the other two looked back at the same time, only to see Zhong Zhen rush out with blood all over his face, already gripping Yan Zhichun’s throat.
