Members of the Communist Underground Organization Who Sacrificed Their Lives in the Related Operations
Ye Tao, member of the Communist underground organization. Joined the Party in 1924 while studying at Beijing Women’s Normal University, and was later dispatched by the Party organization to infiltrate the Party Affairs Investigation Section of the Nationalist government in Nanjing. Sacrificed her life at the hidden soldier caves of the Nanjing Ming city wall shortly after the Dragon Boat Festival in 1929, during the most rampant period of Nationalist White Terror.
Wu Ming Shi, member of the Communist underground organization’s secret intelligence network, embedded within the concession’s police station. Sacrificed his life on January 10, 1933, at the Simalu vegetable market in Shanghai, while warning the Communist underground organization, which was about to hold a secret meeting.
Fang Yunping, leader of the Communist underground organization’s Shanghai district. Sacrificed his life on January 16, 1933, near North Sichuan Road in Shanghai (the exact location can no longer be determined), while covering the withdrawal of Central Special Envoy Chen Qianli.
Ling Wen, female cadre of the Communist underground organization. Murdered by Nationalist secret agents on February 2, 1933, at the former site of the Communist underground organization’s communication station on Haoxian Road in Guangzhou.
Lin Shi, code name: Lao Kai. Central Special Envoy. Shot while fighting secret agents at the worker dormitory of the Maochang Coal Yard in Shanghai on February 8, 1933; despite emergency treatment, he died at Fahua Town.
Chen Qianyuan, member of the Communist underground organization. Sacrificed his life at Longhua Prison in Shanghai on April 4, 1933.
