Ye Fan pursued and slaughtered the crowd while carrying his Heavenly Tribulation with him — this scene left everyone dumbstruck, each of them terrified to the bone. The sea of thunder was vast, enveloping the great cosmic void.
“Ah…”
Emperor Tian’s subordinates varied in cultivation level, and several of them were instantly caught within the lightning, reduced to ash by the Tribulation.
“Retreat quickly, there’s no way to withstand this!” the Qilin Sacred Envoy screamed.
Ye Fan’s Sage King Tribulation was simply too vast, many times more terrifying than an ordinary person’s — it wasn’t just one or two bolts of lightning dancing down, but an entire sea of thunder crashing down directly!
If one were to break it down in detail, it was countless massive lightning bolts, thick as mountain ranges, merging together into a blazing ocean of lightning — how could anyone withstand this?
They fled for their lives, but anyone caught within it, even a Sage King, would be reduced to dust.
Of course, they weren’t the most pitiful ones. Lin Chuan, the personal second disciple of Qi Tian, Guardian of the human race, was the most pitiable of all — he was the first one Ye Fan had caught, and was now being swept along within the lightning as Ye Fan advanced.
Now, thunder crashed and lightning flashed as it descended through the void, utterly submerging him.
“Woo… aooh…”
At this point, the sounds Lin Chuan made no longer resembled those of a human — like some kind of beast, his entire body scorched and reeking, battered beyond recognition.
He was a formidable Sage King, having remained at the very realm Ye Fan was about to reach for many years — yet he couldn’t withstand the sacred body’s lightning Tribulation, having never witnessed such punishment before.
“Splat!”
Almost instantly, one of his arms was shattered by the lightning. The mist of blood had barely risen before it was scorched dry, turning to ash.
“Save… me!”
Lin Chuan was in despair. He had come here full of confidence, waiting on the ancient continent, wanting to kill Ye Fan here — he had never expected to suffer such a great setback.
Before coming here, he had already studied Ye Fan’s strength, believing that having lost the formation array at the human race’s Fiftieth City, the sacred body would struggle to achieve much. He wanted to crush him with a higher cultivation realm, to vent his master’s grievance.
“Crack!”
The second wave of the thunder sea crashed down, and Lin Chuan’s entire body of bones shattered. Blood and bone fragments flew in all directions; half his body directly turned into a mass of bloody mud, vanishing within the lightning.
His whole body reeked of burning, his hair reduced to ash, half man and half ghost — even his intestines were blasted out, a sight too gruesome to behold.
“Master…” he called weakly toward a certain direction, where Qi Tian, Guardian of the ancient human road, stood.
“Stop this!” Qi Tian roared in fury, both heartbroken and choked with rage, fire practically blazing from his eyes — this was his own personal disciple, yet he had been tormented into this state.
“BOOM!”
He raised his hand and pointed, a sharp ray of light shooting into the Tribulation, trying to break the deadlock. However, an earth-shattering explosion rang out, the cosmos tearing apart, as an even more violent sea of thunder descended, crashing down toward him.
At this moment, not just him, but even the Stone Man Sacred Spirit, and the two Yin Spirits who had already fled deep into the cosmos, all felt their hair stand on end — that Tribulation’s fluctuations were far too intense, targeting even a Great Sage.
When one person undergoes Tribulation, outsiders fundamentally cannot interfere — they cannot assist or provoke it, or they would bring the fire upon themselves; the Tribulation lightning that comes matches the cultivator’s realm.
Given the scale of Ye Fan’s heavenly punishment, further compounded to the Great Sage realm, even a god descending would have to chant scriptures and recite the Dao — this kind of stacking, almost no one in this era could withstand.
Qi Tian, Guardian of the human race, was naturally horrified. The moment he had made his move, he knew — this kind of Tribulation could not be provoked, many times more fearsome than the Great Sage Tribulation he himself had once nearly died from.
This was the sacred body’s Tribulation, stacked and then brought down upon Qi Tian as a Great Sage Tribulation — who could bear that?
“Damn it, there’s no justice!” Qi Tian cursed, and without hesitation, he sent forth an avatar, containing his essence, energy, and spirit, along with a portion of his divine sense, rushing forward.
“BOOM!”
That drawn-in Great Sage Tribulation was simply too vast, boundless and endless, crushing the entire cosmos full, causing countless surrounding stars to explode into fragments!
After Qi Tian’s avatar entered, it was struck until flesh split and blood scattered across the star field, its bones showing white all over — in almost an instant it was snapped in two, giving off the smell of scorched flesh.
However, it had to be said — those who could become Great Sages were no ordinary beings. Even within a Great Sage Tribulation formed by scaling up the sacred body’s Tribulation as a benchmark, it did not perish instantly, but held on for a while.
This was a truly terrifying feat — to hold on this long was something transcendent, making all living beings look up in reverent awe and tremble.
After all, ordinary people could never ascend to become a Great Sage — how many such people could there be in the entire cosmos? They rose from among billions of living beings, and were bound to possess something extraordinary.
Unfortunately, no matter how extraordinary and powerful, it was still difficult to survive a Great Sage Tribulation evolved from the sacred body’s Tribulation as a template. His avatar ultimately held on for a period of time, but was still struck until its bones shattered and blood scattered, dying in vain here.
Qi Tian was so furious he cursed aloud — to make a Great Sage lose composure like this was unthinkable. Because, although it was only an avatar, it still contained a measure of his essential blood and a portion of his spiritual will, causing serious damage to his true body’s vital energy.
What does it mean to bring fire upon oneself? This was the perfect example. By provoking the Heavenly Tribulation, he had incurred a corresponding punishment, suffering severe losses.
Had he not deployed his avatar at the critical moment, instead meeting it with his true body, he might have perished right then and there — this was essentially cutting off flesh and bone to serve as a substitute death, preserving his main body.
Meanwhile, Ye Fan was still undergoing his own Sage King Tribulation. The Great Sage Tribulation had nothing to do with him — although it had been generated in correspondence with his heavenly punishment, it was targeted solely at Qi Tian.
This was also the reason that so enraged the Guardian of the ancient human road that he vomited blood — his avatar had died in vain!
And what infuriated him even more was that his second disciple was clearly about to die, his body shattered to pieces within the Sage King Tribulation, the broken remains floating in a pool of blood.
“Splat!”
A flash of lightning, and that mutilated head, too, shattered, all the blood within scorched dry.
“Master!” Lin Chuan’s primordial spirit dimmed, flickering like a wisp of ghost-fire, screaming in terror.
“No!” The veins on Qi Tian’s forehead throbbed wildly, yet there was nothing he could do — faced with something as mysterious and terrifying as Heavenly Tribulation, he simply couldn’t intervene.
Ye Fan swept his fingers through the air, capturing that primordial spirit in his palm, gazing at Qi Tian from within a hundred-thousand-foot sea of lightning, his eyes cold and merciless.
“You… let him go, and we can talk about anything!” Qi Tian said, his voice trembling.
“Truly… there’s nothing left to talk about.” Ye Fan shook his head, and with a wipe of his fingers, that primordial spirit instantly turned to ash within the lightning.
Qi Tian had earlier shown favoritism to the Hegemon Body, nearly suppressing Ye Fan to death — and now his disciple had been lying in wait here too, waiting for him to appear so as to strike the killing blow. This left Ye Fan with no more patience to endure — since Qi Tian wanted to eliminate him, then he would return the favor in kind; there was nothing more to discuss!
“Ah…” Qi Tian let out a great cry, so furious his whole body trembled. Pointing at Ye Fan from a distance, he said, “As long as you remain on the ancient human road, you are bound by my restrictions!”
This was a blatant, naked threat and intimidation — just short of an outright declaration of bloody suppression and revenge.
“BOOM!”
In the distance, a great crash sounded from the ancient continent, rocks shattering the void, massive stone fragments flying out into the cosmos. The entrance had opened, lightning crackling within, as a figure surged out.
When Qi Tian saw this scene, he immediately vomited two large mouthfuls of blood — that the one trapped in the tomb could break free was closely tied to the “great achievement” he had just made.
He had drawn down a Great-Sage-level Heavenly Tribulation, something rarely seen in this world, utterly unprecedented, all of it crashing down there, blasting the void tomb open with numerous massive cracks.
Over all these years, time had already worn away most of the void tomb’s sealing power. Ye Fan, borrowing the strength of the various saints, combined with the Great Sage’s Heavenly Tribulation, had finally broken through a passage.
Qi Tian staggered, blood smeared at the corners of his mouth, his robes soaked in blood — he had been enraged to this state, his body trembling uncontrollably, having inadvertently become an aid to Ye Fan’s cause.
“Much thanks, senior.”
Pang Bo laughed heartily, surging upward carrying an overwhelming demonic aura that shocked everyone — like some ten-thousand-year-old ancient demon breaking free from a Great Emperor’s seal, reappearing in the world.
The demonic aura shook the cosmos, all the stars trembling. There stood a tall, majestic figure, like an iron tower, standing a head taller than ordinary men.
His whole body bulged with muscle, like coiling little snakes wrapped around him, his flesh gleaming with a bronze-colored sheen, black hair hanging down to his waist, thick and dense as a waterfall.
His eyes were a pair of sharp, dazzling orbs, brilliant and overpowering, blazing radiantly within the void of the cosmos, utterly commanding.
Pang Bo, freed from his confinement, surged out carrying boundless Tribulation lightning — his heavenly punishment was equally terrifying, rumbling and churning, accompanied by an ocean-like demonic aura sweeping across the cosmos.
He and Ye Fan looked at each other, laughing heartily across the distance — after being trapped for so many years, he had finally emerged, reunited with an old friend.
“The two of us brothers will join hands and kill them until they’re scattered in chaos — wipe them all out!”
Once Pang Bo flew free, carrying his Tribulation with him, he unleashed the Demon Emperor’s Nine Slashes, taking the initiative to attack, striking at those who had earlier attacked Ye Fan here.
Ye Fan nodded. Now that his brother was free, he was completely at ease, no longer holding back or restraining himself in any way, and charged toward the other side.
These were two true dragons, overturning rivers and seas, shattering the cosmos, slaughtering in all directions, unstoppable across the starry expanse.
“Ah… no!” the Vermilion Bird Sacred Envoy screamed, but to no avail — how could anyone outrun Ye Fan’s Art of Movement? From the very start there had been no escape, and he was cut off right here by Ye Fan.
Now, Ye Fan clapped down a great hand, suppressing him with a sea of thunder.
The void gave birth to divinity — the lightning forged into a giant hand, and Ye Fan seized him firmly within it, gazing coldly.
The Vermilion Bird Sacred Envoy was very powerful, but his body had already been struck to pieces by the lightning; now he was utterly despairing — it was far too late for anything, only a dead end remained.
Splat!
Ye Fan exerted just a little force, and he turned into a pool of blood, his form and spirit both annihilated within the lightning.
Meanwhile, Pang Bo roared, having reached the Sage King realm, his might on full display without reservation, slaughtering the crowd who had earlier attacked, turning many Yin spirits to ash.
“No, you can’t do this!” the Qilin Sacred Envoy screamed, his heart trembling, face pale as snow, his lower body already turned to scorched coal.
Ye Fan seized him too in one hand, while his other hand grabbed the White Tiger Sacred Envoy, leaving them nowhere to flee — their lives and deaths hung on his single thought.
“Sovereign!” the White Tiger Sacred Envoy shrieked — she was a woman of fair, pristine flesh and captivating appearance, but now she was terrified pale as snow, her body already struck to pieces by the lightning, gazing desperately in one direction.
Ye Fan turned his gaze and saw a blurred figure, gazing coldly this way, as if the entire person had merged into heaven and earth and the cosmos, becoming one with it, becoming the vessel of the supreme Dao itself!
“Sovereign, save me!” the White Tiger Sacred Envoy cried out, trembling, her beautiful eyes shining with a startling brilliance.
“Sovereign, Immortal Qingshi, are you here? Save me!” the Qilin Sacred Envoy screamed in terror.
In the distance, that blurred figure, having achieved unity of man and heaven, had transformed himself into the Dao, like an ancient emperor traversing time and space, arriving from the distant past.
He made his move, rushing here at extreme speed, actually intending to charge into Ye Fan’s sacred body Tribulation.
Ye Fan’s expression was cold, and he said mercilessly: “No matter who comes, none can save the two of you. Whoever it may be — since you struck at me, then prepare yourselves for destruction.”
Splat!
A flash of blood, and the beautiful White Tiger Sacred Envoy turned to blood and bone within Ye Fan’s palm. The Qilin Sacred Envoy screamed even more miserably, turning into a heap of mud. Then, with a flash of Tribulation light, they scattered into ash, leaving nothing behind. Right in front of Emperor Tian, Ye Fan had wiped both of them out completely.
“If no one offends me, I offend no one. But if you wish to destroy me, then I too will not hesitate to become the Demon Lord, slaughtering the talented and gifted, holding the sky in a single hand!” Ye Fan said to that blurred figure rushing here at extreme speed.
