The entire battlefield fell deathly silent. Every person’s heart was violently shaken to its core. The Human Race’s Holy Body โ was he truly becoming invincible? What manner of fist technique was this, that it could slaughter the world so?
Was the Gold-Devouring Beast not powerful? It had dominated an entire region, renowned as peerless on that ancient road. Was the Bronze Ant King weak? It had reigned over another expanse of starry sky, revered as the paramount power of its domain.
Such figures as these โ and yet they died so miserably. Beneath the Emperor Fist, they had not the slightest capacity to fight back, blown apart directly!
The Gold-Devouring Beast’s physical form was unparalleled, nearly indestructible โ and yet it had died. The Bronze Ant King had a special physique, its strength boundless, capable of bearing the moon and the sun upon its back, shaking an entire starry sky โ and yet that formidable flesh body was shattered by a single punch.
Everyone was shaken. All hearts turned cold with dread. One by one, their expressions shifted uncontrollably, their terror driven to the absolute limit.
“How can anyone be this powerful โ is the Human Race’s Holy Body truly going to be unmatched under heaven?” Xinlan murmured to herself. She had once arrogantly demanded that Ye Fan join the Divine Race, only to be refused โ and now she had come here with such pride, only to witness this terrifying scene.
“He has truly… touched that domain.” Di Tian sighed softly. A terrifying mist appeared around his body as he stood there without moving, uncertain what he was thinking.
“The Forbidden Domain โ a dreadful title. Since ancient times, every person who has reached this domain has been breathtakingly brilliant, peerless in their generation!” the Great Demon God said, his face expressionless.
In another direction, the Sky-Devouring Beast was dominating the field, pressing down on Long Ma and the other ten holy figures, intending to wipe them all out in one sweep. However, after witnessing this scene, its expression became troubled and volatile, its eyes incomparably cold and dark.
The Corpse Sovereign stood motionless, gazing toward the Bodhi tree, a deathly aura rising across his face. He clenched his fists. Though his expression was icy and numb, one could see the heaviness weighing upon his heart.
Ye Fan was too powerful โ a deep, profound threat to every single person’s confidence, giving rise to dread and an ominous premonition. This would become the shared demon lurking in every heart of those present on this battlefield.
Every person on this battlefield wore an unsightly expression โ more wretched than if they had swallowed a mouthful of dead flies. Not long ago they had talked casually about the Human Race’s Holy Body being meat on a chopping block, ripe for taking his Bodhi tree.
But now that this result had emerged, everyone had turned to stone. With Ye Fan this powerful, who dared step forward? Who could say they were capable of suppressing the Human Race’s Holy Body?
Quite a few faces went iron-grey, feeling as though they had each been slapped hard across the face. They stood in prolonged silence. And even more were simply stunned โ they knew: a dazzling martial emperor star had risen, and it could not be stopped!
Boom! The battlefield split apart in four directions. Ye Fan, like a heavenly god looking down on the world, charged toward where Pang Bo was, displaying his invincible fist intent, cutting down the enemies gathered there.
That area lay close to the Bodhi tree, and many had rushed to it. Pang Bo had thrown himself in recklessly, blocking these people, suffering unimaginable grievous wounds. His Dao body had already been destroyed by his enemies, scattered on the spot. His true body was riddled with wounds โ even now, at this moment, several broken spear shafts were still lodged in his back, driven into the spaces between his bones, blood flowing freely.
And worse still โ a purple short sword had been driven diagonally into his head, piercing through his skull. Were it not for the “Word” secret technique that could restore the wounded body, he might well have perished here.
Pang Bo’s injuries were devastating. As a cultivator at the eighth level of the Sacred King realm, he had held off this many powerful enemies โ all so that Ye Fan could have the time he needed. Among those killing him were even those at the supreme peak of the ninth level.
Now, seeing that Ye Fan’s cultivation had reached its complete fruition, he let out a long exhale from his heart โ as if something had been released. His body swayed unsteadily, nearly collapsing into a pool of blood.
The sky cracked open. Ye Fan had struck first and taken command โ moments ago he had killed the Gold-Devouring Beast and the Bronze Ant King in quick succession, shaking the hearts of everyone present. Now, seeing him wheel around to come slaughter his way toward them, every person’s heart turned cold.
With each step Ye Fan took, heaven and earth trembled. The entire void seemed unable to contain his true body. He raised his fist and struck, his entire body blazing with golden radiance, like flames burning.
“Pfft!”
The several people at the front were sent blood spraying in all directions by a single punch, their bones snapping and sinews breaking, their forms shattering apart.
Ye Fan had been moved to genuine rage. Pang Bo had nearly died here for his sake, his whole body a mass of wounds. Each of these people was a murderer โ and he intended to let none of them go.
He was like a divine demon bursting out of the underworld, freed of his shackles, massacring in all directions. Blood flowed from between his fists and fingers. No one could resist his edge โ blow after blow claimed lives, every single strike sending flesh and bone flying in a spray of blood.
The scene was horrifying. Ye Fan swept forward unstoppably, brave beyond all measure โ this was an invincible momentum. The ground beneath his feet was covered in corpses; he advanced by walking over the bodies of those he had felled.
Flight was completely useless. Ye Fan had the “Travel” word secret โ his speed was unmatched in all the world. Unless one could tear open the void with an ancestral artifact, there was no surviving this.
Rumble! Rumble!
The Great Dao resonated in harmony. Ye Fan’s entire body radiated boundless light. He placed one hand on Pang Bo’s body, blood energy surging and rolling, helping him clear his meridians, reconnect his broken bones, pouring a sea of vital energy inward to restore his life force.
“I’m fine โ don’t waste your life essence on me,” Pang Bo said.
“Relax!” Ye Fan answered with two words only, radiating a powerful confidence that made all of Pang Bo’s worries vanish. They had shared life and death together, had entered the world of cultivators side by side from the same place, and understood each other completely.
“What are the rest of you waiting for? To sit here and wait for death? Rise together and kill him โ if we don’t, every single one of us will die!” those who had been surrounding and killing Pang Bo roared out.
“Pfft!”
Yet the leading speaker’s words cut off abruptly. A bright crimson flower of blood bloomed between his brows, and he fell stiffly backward.
Ye Fan flicked his fingers. From between all ten fingers, divine light erupted like streams of immortal light piercing through heaven and earth. The three people directly in front were torn apart as if they had been ripped by horses pulling in different directions โ all three shattered to pieces, a mist of blood spreading through the air.
“Kill!”
Ye Fan roared out, crossing the void in a single instant, arriving in a breath, throwing out a punch that dominated heaven and earth. The remaining three were all blown apart, their gleaming white bones streaked with threads of blood flying high โ and beyond that, nothing remained.
The primordial chaos mist dispersed, leaving only a receding figure. Ye Fan walked on toward the next battleground.
“This is undoubtedly the Forbidden Domain!”
Many felt cold from head to toe, seized by despair. A person like this was truly on the verge of becoming invincible โ could it be that the sole dominance of the Emperor’s Path would come this early?
Every great emperor throughout the ages has been breathtakingly brilliant, each creating their own distinct ancient scriptures โ especially the ultimate techniques of the Forbidden Chapter, which were unfathomable to gods and ghosts alike, never revealed to the world.
The secret arts of the final page of an Emperor Scripture represent the terrifying ultimate combat power of an ancient great emperor. Very few have ever glimpsed them, because nearly every person who did died.
Only by unleashing the supreme true meaning of the Forbidden Chapter’s ultimate technique, and stepping into this domain, does one earn the title of Forbidden!
Emperor scriptures have been passed down through the generations, and naturally their descendants possess them. While they can perform the techniques, truly standing within the Forbidden Domain is another matter entirely โ extraordinarily difficult. There is only one reason: those techniques are not their own Dao. They are the exclusive property of the ancient great emperors. Descendants may wield them, but they are never the most powerful expression of those ultimate secrets, always falling somewhat short of the one who first created them.
Ye Fan did not lack for Emperor Scriptures. Yet it was only today that he had truly taken his stand within this domain, and the reason lay precisely in this.
He had created the Emperor Fist. Ten thousand scriptures resonated in unison, the runes of gods and demons all manifesting โ forged through bitter tempering, he had evolved a supreme fist intent that stood above all techniques in the world, perfectly in harmony with him. This was his own technique.
With the ability to create an ancient scripture, with his true self entering this domain of supreme self-sovereignty, having tasted the divine sensation of creating an ultimate scripture โ receiving the title of invincible โ one takes their stand within the Forbidden Domain.
“Pfft!”
In another direction, Ji Ziyue had sustained injuries. She was no match for Sang Gu โ there was a gap of two minor cultivation levels between them โ and at this moment her face had gone bloodless, blood welling up from her mouth as she retreated. She held Little Dot, whose whole body was covered in blood, falling back. The Lightning Phoenix Bird had been even more grievously wounded โ nearly torn in half, and was trembling in Ji Ziyue’s arms, its blood dyeing the sky red.
Sang Gu’s expression was savage and twisted. He intended to kill both of them in a single instant before Ye Fan could reach them.
Yet he overestimated his own speed. Ye Fan took a single step โ stars shifted, the sun and moon changed position. He appeared to be moving slowly, yet he had surpassed the extreme limit of speed, faintly touching the domain of time itself.
“He has truly taken his stand within the Forbidden Domain?!” Sang Gu looked back. Resentment rose in his heart. Both of them had comprehended the Dao in this same place โ and yet how different the results.
He was a descendant of the ancient gods and demons, possessing an incomparably powerful bloodline, favored by the Great Dao of this place โ all three thousand divine-demonic Dao runes had been branded into his body. And yet now, he was no match for a human.
“Why did you also receive the inheritance of the three thousand divine-demonic Daos?” he roared out.
“I used them to temper my fist intent,” Ye Fan replied calmly.
These words were a devastating blow to Sang Gu. The Human Race’s Holy Body had not received the divine-demonic inheritance at all โ he had merely used it as a whetstone to sharpen his own fist intent. What level of power and confidence would that require?!
Sang Gu’s expression fell to the absolute nadir, his heart hollow and aching โ and his fury only burned hotter.
Ye Fan steadied Ji Ziyue and Little Dot, pouring his life essence into their bodies to treat their terrible wounds, reconnecting broken bones, repairing blood and flesh that had been shattered.
“I’m fine,” Ji Ziyue said. Her alabaster cheeks had drained of color; she endured the pain, her forehead drenched in cold sweat, indicating that she was not seriously hurt.
Ye Fan paid no attention to this, knowing full well how severe her injuries were, continuing to pour golden life essence into her to help her recover.
Little Dot’s condition was also grave. Shortly before, she had fought desperately to block Sang Gu, not allowing him to approach the Bodhi tree โ her golden wings had been torn off, her whole body soaked in blood. She trembled in unconsciousness, looking utterly pitiful.
Ye Fan helped them set their injuries in order, then wheeled abruptly around to face Sang Gu, and the most terrifying killing intent appeared in his eyes.
Sang Gu’s expression went iron-grey, his heart filled with unwillingness. Ye Fan’s performance spoke for itself. They had comprehended the Dao in the same place โ and comparing the two of them, Ye Fan had as good as sealed off Sang Gu’s path of gods and demons for good. Despair flooded his heart. His eyes went blood-red. He had no desire to flee โ he would rather die in battle than live the rest of his life in another person’s shadow.
“Aaaaah…!”
Sang Gu made his move. He roared and shattered the heavens. Three thousand Great Dao runes appeared, and one divine-demonic form after another materialized in the void โ arrayed side by side, like a great black mountain range, terrifying beyond all limits.
“Even if a god comes, I will kill it!” Ye Fan declared a belief in his own invincibility, his great roar shaking sun and moon, rivers and mountains. Primordial chaos energy spread wide. He stepped straight across in a single stride, throwing his fist forward in a strike โ the true, genuine Heavenly Emperor Fist!
In that moment, his whole body blazed with light, breathtakingly brilliant โ like the Heavenly Emperor descending to the mortal world, advancing without pause, looking down upon all living things in creation!
“Boom!”
Sang Gu was sent flying horizontally, blood spraying from his mouth. Horrifying wounds appeared all across his body. He had chosen to withstand it head-on, refusing to yield to reality โ but the result was brutal. He was simply no match.
Yet unlike the others, he truly possessed the potential for invincibility. He engaged Ye Fan in great battle, and charged forward once again, staking his life in a desperate struggle.
“Pfft!”
After more than a dozen exchanges, Ye Fan threw out a punch. Sang Gu brought both fists up to block, and his fingers began to snap and break one by one. Then both arms exploded to pieces. Then his body shuddered violently and began to tear in four directions. Finally, his skull was sent blasting upward, rising more than ten zhang into the air, blood and brain matter spraying everywhere.
“Aaaah…!”
Sang Gu was in despair, filled with unwillingness โ yet he was destroyed by a tremendous fist intent, fragments of his bones raining down, leaving behind a pool of crimson blood. His name was erased from the world.
Witnessing this, every person went pale as a sheet. That such a powerful figure as Sang Gu was dead โ it shook everyone to their core. The Human Race’s Holy Body was truly invincible!
Everyone went cold from head to foot. How could this battle continue? Some, seeing how badly things had gone, turned and fled.
“Pfft!”
Awaiting them was the Heavenly Emperor Fist. Ye Fan’s speed was too great โ with the “Travel” word secret unleashed, who could compare? He cut across the path of all the heroes, and the killing began in earnest.
In nearly an instant, eight or nine people died violently, shattered alive by him, perishing beneath the Heavenly Emperor Fist!
“Sky-Devouring Beast, Corpse Sovereign, Golden Snake Great Lord โ come and meet your deaths!” Ye Fan roared, his voice shaking the heavens, one person challenging all enemies at once. Every hero present trembled at the sound.
Then he turned to look into the distance, his gaze fixing on Di Tian, the Great Demon God, the Nine-Eyed Jade Toad, the Divine Race’s celestial maiden, the Heavenly Wolf, and the rest. His eyes were like lightning โ sharp and pressingly intense.
This battlefield held dozens of people in all. Each and every one was the most powerful figure on an ancient road in their domain, the sovereign of an expanse of starry sky beneath which they reigned supreme โ and yet at this moment, the entire area was utterly silent.
