Chapter 2203: Modern Arc: Everyone Has Truly Returned

Since that world had been false, then all the injuries suffered within that false world were, of course, false as well.

When Feng Jiu’er woke up, she instinctively reached for her own neck.

There was no wound there. Nothing at all.

She had finally come back to life again.

“Ninth Imperial Uncle!” Not far away, inside an ice pillar, her Ninth Imperial Uncle — Di Wu Ya — was sealed.

And in another ice pillar, the person sealed inside was, of all people, Mu Mu!

She remembered now. She finally remembered everything.

After she and her Ninth Imperial Uncle had fallen from the cliff, he had been gravely wounded saving her, and unexpectedly encountered Feng Qiongcang — likewise gravely wounded, but not yet dead.

This man really was impossible to shake off.

Though both badly injured, Feng Jiu’er and Di Wu Ya couldn’t allow Feng Qiongcang to keep bringing ruin upon the world, so they had no choice but to pursue him relentlessly.

Unexpectedly, they had fallen into Feng Qiongcang’s trap and been ambushed.

What Jiu’er hadn’t expected was that during the more than a month they’d gone missing, Mu Mu had abandoned even his throne and rushed here himself to search for them.

And then that bizarre scene had unfolded.

Feng Qiongcang, having learned some strange and eerie formation from who knows where, had tried to seal Di Wu Ya and Feng Jiu’er inside pillars of ice.

But Mu Mu had pushed Jiu’er out of the way first, and ended up sealed inside the ice pillar himself.

Now, though Jiu’er had woken up, her whole body was still without strength.

As for Feng Qiongcang — he was covered in blood, bleeding from all seven orifices, looking utterly horrifying.

Though Jiu’er couldn’t move, Feng Qiongcang’s condition didn’t seem much better than hers.

He lay collapsed in a pool of blood, without even the strength left to lift a finger.

But her Ninth Imperial Uncle and Mu Mu were still trapped inside the ice pillars.

No one knew how these pillars could be melted.

How had Feng Qiongcang managed this?

How could one person’s power be so great?

“Jiu’er!”

From outside, an urgent, hurried call rang out: “Jiu’er, Jiu’er…”

A flicker of despair crossed Feng Qiongcang’s exhausted eyes.

But Feng Jiu’er’s eyes lit up.

“Jian Yi, I’m here, Jian Yi!”

A figure rushed into the cave from outside.

He was covered head to toe in wind and snow, his hair a mess, his beard grown out — it was clear that the past month or so had been utterly rough and exhausting for him.

But the moment he saw Feng Jiu’er alive, all his exhaustion vanished at once.

He hurried over and tried to help her up. “You really are still alive — I knew it, I knew it! I saw your needle pouch outside, and I knew you had to be nearby.”

“Jian Yi…” Jiu’er took a deep breath and, supported by him, sat up, looking at Feng Qiongcang.

Only then did Jian Yi notice there were other people in the cave!

Di Wu Ya and Mu Mu were sealed inside two strange pillars of ice.

“Jian Yi, kill him. Hurry… kill him.” Feng Jiu’er pointed at Feng Qiongcang, collapsed on the ground not far away.

Jian Yi had always been this obedient — he didn’t need to ask further. His long sword pointed forward.

With a soft thud, the sword pierced straight into Feng Qiongcang’s heart.

Feng Qiongcang’s eyes were full of bitter resentment.

But in the end, he only stared wide-eyed and toppled over.

His last breath scattered on the wind.

“They…” Jian Yi, supporting Jiu’er, walked toward the two ice pillars.

To everyone’s surprise, once Feng Qiongcang died, the two ice pillars gradually began to show cracks.

At first, two extremely fine cracks — then, bit by bit, they widened.

Finally, with two thunderous crashes, the ice pillars shattered open!

The people inside slowly opened their eyes.

This world had finally been restored to brightness.

Everyone had truly returned.
