Chapter 138: Breaking Free

The imposing man frowned impatiently: “You’re such a troublemaker.”

The shorter man was displeased: “When nature calls, can you hold it in?”

“Go, go quickly.”

The shorter man peered outside, then walked out.

Lin Hao stared at the shorter man’s figure disappearing at the cave entrance, knowing the opportunity had come.

She forcefully made sounds from her throat.

The imposing man looked over.

“Mm-mm-mm—” Lin Hao looked even more urgent.

A thought flashed through the imposing man’s mind: Could this young lady also need to relieve herself?

He got up and walked over, looking down at the anxious young lady: “What is it?”

His expression and tone were much colder than the shorter man’s.

“Mm-mm—”

The imposing man frowned and bent down, removing the cloth ball gagging Lin Hao’s mouth: “Speak. What is it?”

“I…” Lin Hao’s lips moved, her voice so faint it was almost inaudible.

The imposing man instinctively leaned closer.

At this moment, Lin Hao’s hands, which had been behind her back, shot out rapidly, striking toward the imposing man’s neck.

When the imposing man realized something was wrong, though he tried his utmost to dodge, it was too late.

He truly hadn’t expected that such a delicate-looking young lady had actually freed herself.

His neck suddenly felt a needle-like pain that passed so quickly it seemed it hadn’t happened. The imposing man grabbed Lin Hao’s neck and tightened forcefully.

Lin Chan watched with eyes splitting with rage.

Lin Hao’s hands were free, so naturally she wouldn’t sit still waiting for death. Her two hands grabbed the imposing man’s wrists and pulled outward with all her might, thereby reducing the injury to her neck.

But in Lin Chan’s view, even though her sister knew some martial arts, in terms of strength she couldn’t compare to a man. Right now it was too dangerous.

Anxious and afraid, she forgot the earlier agreement to remain motionless and reached out to pull at the imposing man’s arm.

At this moment, the imposing man’s body suddenly stiffened and he fell down.

“Elder Sister, quickly resume your original position.” Lin Hao had no time to explain why the imposing man had suddenly fallen and urgently reminded Lin Chan.

Lin Chan’s mind was completely blank, but she instinctively did as Lin Hao said.

“Elder Sister, I must trouble you for a moment.” After saying this in a low voice, Lin Hao moved the imposing man to lean against Lin Chan.

Lin Chan’s entire body went rigid. She asked quietly: “Second Sister, are you alright?”

“I’m fine. The other one will return soon. Elder Sister, pretend you’ve been violated to lure him over, and I’ll deal with him.”

Lin Chan nodded, stuffed the cloth ball back in her mouth, and hid her hands behind her back.

Lin Hao did the same.

The shorter man finished his business and had just walked to the cave entrance when he heard intense muffled sounds.

What was going on?

He bent slightly and entered the cave, immediately seeing his companion leaning against Lin Chan.

The light in the cave was poor, growing dimmer the deeper in. From his angle, his first reaction was that his companion had taken advantage of his absence to misbehave.

“Fine! You wouldn’t let me touch them, but you’re taking advantage while I’m gone!” The shorter man was greatly displeased and walked over quickly.

In the dim light, his companion’s body swaying made him unsuspecting. He reached out to pull the imposing man: “This is too much—”

Before he finished speaking, from the corner of his eye he caught sight of a leaping figure.

His expression changed and he immediately dodged to the side, but the turn of events was too sudden—he was still a step too slow.

His neck felt a momentary sting that quickly lost sensation.

“How did you get free?” The shorter man cried out in shock, reaching out to grab Lin Hao.

In his view, even if such a delicate little lady had freed herself, restraining her would be easy. But just as he made his move, he felt a wave of dizziness. His body swayed and he collapsed to the ground.

Lin Hao immediately removed the cloth ball gagging her mouth and pushed away the imposing man leaning on Lin Chan: “Elder Sister, are you alright?”

Lin Chan removed the cloth ball, turned her head and dry-heaved several times, then showed a pale smile of survival: “I’m fine.”

At this point, she realized something was wrong with these two men: “Second Sister, what happened to them?”

Lin Hao raised her hand and turned the bracelet on her wrist: “The bracelet has a mechanism. Inside are hidden several poison needles that can make people lose consciousness for a short time.”

This mechanical technique was also learned from her teacher.

Her previous life’s experiences meant she couldn’t be a carefree young lady from a good family. Having a backup that could save her life at critical moments gave her a sense of security.

Lin Chan was struck speechless with shock for a moment.

Why did her sister have such a bracelet?

But now wasn’t the time to ask more questions. She glanced at the two men on the ground and asked: “What do we do with these two? Should we… kill them?”

Lin Chan had never imagined asking such a question one day, yet when truly in this situation, she asked quite naturally.

Second Sister said these two had only lost consciousness. If they woke up, then she and her sister would be in danger.

Lin Hao didn’t decide immediately but walked to the cave entrance to check the sky.

The sun hung in the west—it looked like afternoon.

She walked back and used the rope that had bound her hands and feet to tie up the imposing man securely.

Seeing this, Lin Chan picked up rope to bind the shorter man’s hands and feet.

“Elder Sister, let me do it.” Lin Hao took the rope and explained while tying the man: “There’s technique to tying knots. The knots I tie can’t be broken free from.”

Lin Chan: “…” Where did her sister learn all these strange and peculiar things?

Lin Hao quickly finished binding the two men and made a decision: “Elder Sister, I see it’s still early. It should be enough time for us to drag them until we meet the people searching for us.”

Though she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, she believed quite a few people were searching for them.

“Second Sister wants to bring them before the authorities?” Lin Chan hesitated somewhat.

With their strength, dragging two grown men, they probably couldn’t go very far. If it got dark and they still hadn’t encountered the search party, they would be in danger in the mountains.

“Elder Sister, don’t worry. On the way here, I secretly calculated the time. Though this cave is hidden, we didn’t travel for very long.”

Hearing this, Lin Chan felt even more ashamed: “I never thought that when trouble came, it would all depend on Second Sister to resolve it.”

“Why would Elder Sister say such things? If I were in danger, Elder Sister would also desperately save me.” Lin Hao grabbed the imposing man’s collar. “Taking them with us, besides finding out the truth, most importantly clears our names.”

Even if these two released them, their reputations would be ruined. People always spared no effort in speculating about women with the greatest malice.

She not only wanted to return, she wanted to drag these two like dead pigs before people, letting them know these two couldn’t do anything to them.

Only this way would the impact on Elder Sister be minimized.

Lin Chan understood Lin Hao’s meaning and nodded: “I’ll listen to Second Sister.”

The two sisters each dragged one man toward the cave entrance. Just as they reached the entrance, Lin Hao’s steps halted and she said in a low voice: “Someone’s there!”

Lin Chan’s expression immediately changed.

Lin Hao held her breath and looked out through the gaps in the vines, seeing a familiar face.

“Heir?” Lin Hao cried out in surprise.

The light at the cave entrance was blocked by a tall, upright figure, suddenly darkening. Before Lin Hao could react, she was tightly embraced by a pair of arms.

With a thud—it was the sound of the imposing man falling to the ground as Lin Hao, shocked, released her grip.
