Afterword

There really is such a fighter plane, called the Wild Weasel, designed to mimic the wild weasel’s appearance. It’s not the most powerful weapon, but because it can refuel in the air, it can remain airborne for a long time—everlasting.

A woman gave a Wild Weasel fighter plane to a man.

He thought she loved him. She loved another man. She spent ten years on him—he was her entire life, but he stripped away her dignity.

It turns out love has only two outcomes—you gain a lot of dignity, or you lose a lot of dignity.

He promised to love her for seventy summers. Summer passed desolately.

Love, it turns out, is drinking poison with a smile—heartbreaking, with no regrets forever.

The Wild Weasel who lost her dignity left. Only after he left did she realize the one who gave her dignity was him.

He once said that all matter in the world doesn’t disappear—it only transforms into another substance. A man who dies might transform into dust on his woman’s skin.

She knows he will return. However, the person who says goodbye first always has the upper hand.
