It was like an immortal well — milky white immortal energy gurgled up from it in a ceaseless stream, mysterious and unfathomable. From deep within the earth’s core, immortal light soared skyward, ten thousand rays of auspicious radiance blazing forth, runes by the millions, dense and awe-inspiring.

This was no longer purely the esoteric art of formation patterns. There was also a powerful individual imprint — someone had used the last vestiges of themselves to seal this place, displaying supreme, peerless divine might.

And it was precisely this that made the immortal well seem boundlessly terrifying. Who had done it? The first name that came to everyone’s mind was the Sovereign Emperor — perhaps only he could be so heaven-defying.

But in truth it was not so. The sealing power was ancient beyond measure, and at the heart of the formation were inextinguishable traces flowing with a primal, primordial aura — eternal and undying.

“It is… the Desolate Tower!”

The several Supreme Beings changed color, recognizing that pattern — identical to the legendary Desolate Tower in every detail, and though it was merely an inscribed trace, it still carried that same energy signature.

“Could the legend be true — that there existed a chaotic ancient age beyond all description or record? That there was an immortal dynasty even more ancient than all others!”

The Supreme Being from the Immortal Mausoleum’s expression changed, his face etched with gravity. What manner of seal had been opened today — it became ever more impossible to fathom.

The ages were too distant to trace — stretching on without end. What had once transpired, had an immortal ever descended upon the mortal world — these things could no longer be confirmed, only imagined from afar.

Boom!

The sealed ground at the center cracked in four directions. The runes shattered on their own, iron chains rang out, and dazzling light shot in all directions. A mass of mangled flesh flew out — it was impossible to tell what creature it was, wrapped within ancient hide.

Moreover, crystalline substance splattered outward — something resembling immortal source, which had been used to imprison it.

“Is that a Vermilion Bird?”

Everyone was startled. They sensed a scorching temperature, and the mass of flesh cracked open, revealing a stretch of crimson. Flames danced, and a Vermilion Bird’s head poked out — its gaze ferocious, as though it could slice skin like a blade.

Crack!

As the fleshy mass broke apart, it revealed a body as red as blood. This was an enormous wolf’s body — yet the surface was covered densely with crimson scales, and the tail was that of a dragon.

What sort of monster was this? As red as blood, covered in scales, bearing the head of a Vermilion Bird, the body of a divine wolf, and the tail of a dragon — a ferocious and violent aura assaulted the senses. This was a creature that existed outside the understanding of any ancient emperor.

“Can this truly be a Supreme Being from the chaotic ancient age, sealed away until this era?”

“Friend — from what era do you come?” the Ten Thousand Dragons Emperor inquired.

In response, a long, piercing cry rang out — like the song of a phoenix, like the howl of a dragon, deafening and rising to the skies. The stars above shattered, and the river of stars collapsed and broke apart.

This was an aura of supreme might — overwhelming, all-encompassing, beyond any power to resist!

Had the Immortal Ascension Star not been protected by great formations, and had the three Supreme Beings not been standing firm, this place would surely have been reduced to dust, with nothing remaining.

The assembled figures frowned. The several supreme beings imprisoned within the sealed ground seemed deeply wrong — their divine souls had all suffered severe damage. They were not entirely normal, and it was difficult to communicate or converse with them.

“Become an immortal — heh heh… ha ha ha… I alone shall reign supreme!”

At last, this prehistoric creature let out a spine-chilling laugh. Like the Transforming Serpent, it was nearly insane — the only one who appeared even remotely normal was the Desolate Extinction Celestial Sovereign, whose eyes were closed.

What had occurred this day was destined to shake the entire cosmos. It was very likely to change the course of history.

The Transforming Serpent, a Celestial Sovereign of the Age of Mythology, and a mysterious prehistoric creature — all had broken free of their seals simultaneously. No one knew the secrets behind it. They now stood blocking the entrance to the path of immortality.

Crack!

The formation runes were shattering. Immortal light grew ever more blazing. The earth rumbled and sank lower and lower in a continuous cascade. The great rift of the immortal realm expanded, and the depths of the sealed ground were exposed.

The immortal path had appeared once more!

A rain of light cascaded down, accompanied by great petals of pure white, crystalline and translucent — a dream-like, intoxicating world that made the heart tremble and the soul surrender.

In that instant, the minds and spirits of the several Supreme Beings all went into a momentary daze. The dream of immortality — how many emperors across the ages had struggled and fought for it, yet all ultimately failed.

Now was not the time for distraction. The true battle had come. There was no room for luck on this path — the only way forward was to fight through, with no shortcuts.

“The Immortal Path!”

A colossal stele stood planted in the river of stars, slowly rising from within the sealed ground, erect upon that corridor of light — appearing so impossibly lofty, so beyond reach.

“Immortal Dao Laws!” the Ten Thousand Dragons Emperor said in shock.

Perhaps the sole opportunity to become an immortal had truly arrived — in this very lifetime. The three Supreme Beings standing before the path murmured quietly, their eyes shining with brilliant, unwavering light.

Whoosh!

The Supreme Being from the Immortal Mausoleum was the first to rush in. He had perceived something unusual — there appeared to be no obstruction on the immortal path. Perhaps it truly was possible to break through smoothly.

“This age is mine!” the Transforming Serpent roared. Its enormous body, vast as a river of stars and dazzling in brilliance, swept forward all at once, coiling around the immortal path ahead in a single motion.

Bathed in the rain of light from the immortal ascension, its aura grew even more terrifying. It immediately attacked the Supreme Being from the Immortal Mausoleum, unleashing its most devastating strike.

Flash!

Another Supreme Being avoided the two of them, darted past in a flicker, and plunged deeper — stepping onto the golden road of light, gazing at the Immortal Stele ahead, his expression overwhelmed with excitement.

“Friend — in this age, one may ascend to immortality. But first you must pass through me,” came a sudden voice. The Desolate Extinction Celestial Sovereign had opened his eyes. Gray hair fell loose about him, and a terrifying aura spread outward, causing heaven and earth to tremble.

Without question, he was still lucid. This Supreme Being who sought to pass was forced into a confrontation — the two sides instantly locked in a standoff.

Lastly, the prehistoric creature fixed its gaze upon the Ten Thousand Dragons Emperor. No one could pass freely — the immortal path was being blocked.

Clatter, clatter! Iron chains rang out, shaking the heavens. Whether the Transforming Serpent or the Desolate Extinction Celestial Sovereign — all were locked in place. They could not leave this ground. But battling here was more than sufficient.

In truth, everyone wondered whether those divine chains could truly hold these reawakened beings.

“Do you truly intend to block our path?”

“Yes! On the immortal path, emperors do not walk side by side. Where you are, I cannot be. That is the brutal reality.”

“What more is there to say — then fight!” These words came from a White Tiger in the stellar void, pouncing downward to attack. Another Supreme Being from the Northern Dipper’s Life Forbidden Zones had arrived, transforming into a white-haired Daoist man of fierce and unyielding temperament.

Boom!

This battle was unavoidable — it erupted directly.

The sealed ground harbored strange forces to begin with, and with three people blocking the way, the only option was to fight through — to eliminate them.

“Friend — allow me to lend you all a hand, and together we shall tread upon the immortal realm!” At that moment, another silhouette appeared, treading upon stars and moon, crossing over from the Northern Dipper and entering the Immortal Ascension Star’s domain.

His entire body radiated light. Though human in form, he bore the features of various great beasts — the wings of a Kun-Peng, the horns of a Savage Bull, the armor of a Qilin. These combined together appeared quite bizarre.

The Beast God!

People knew who he was — from the Divine Ruins, a primordial creature who had achieved the Dao, bearing the title of Beast God. His divine power was vast and deep, beyond all measure.

Five Supreme Beings had all emerged simultaneously. Their implicit alliance shook the world!

Yet the count did not stop there. From within the Primordial Ancient Mine, a streak of immortal radiance cleaved through eternity. Another silhouette tore open the void and rushed forth, the cry of a phoenix shaking the heavens.

“Heavens — could this be the Undying Immortal Phoenix?!”

Cries of shock rang out across the cosmos. People witnessed a colossal phoenix sweep through the void, its passage extinguishing the river of stars, nothing able to obstruct the heavenward sweep of its wings.

When it descended upon the Immortal Ascension Star, it transformed into a weapon — the Phoenix Wing Gilded Trident!

Its radiance was blazing and brilliant — gold intertwined with crimson, illuminating all of heaven. The cry of the phoenix rang ceaselessly, shattering the ancient starry sky across ten thousand ages, its aura ferocious and violent — even Ye Fan, watching from beyond the stellar boundary, felt a violent jolt in his heart. This was actually a weapon.

Yet another form of the long-life method had appeared!

A Supreme Being had transformed themselves into a weapon — not a total transformation, but rather a means to survive somewhat longer, by merging their divine soul with a Dao weapon to become a special kind of life form.

“So it is the friend from the Crimson Phoenix Mountain. I have heard you walked a different path. But the time of clarity grows shorter — how have these years been?” the Beast God asked.

“Not well. I am nearly on the verge of becoming a purely inanimate weapon. This lifetime is my only opportunity — otherwise, my consciousness will be forever imprisoned, and I will lose all awareness.”

The Phoenix Wing Gilded Trident spoke. It was the founding ancestor of the Crimson Phoenix Mountain, who had once taken a different path to longevity, entering the Primordial Ancient Mine and never emerging into the world.

The world was shaken. Some who had been believed dead were, in truth, still alive within the forbidden zones — even the Crimson Phoenix Mountain itself had not known its ancestor still lived.

“Father!”

In a distant region of the stellar void, a silhouette with a full head of blood-red hair stood motionlessly, fists clenched tightly. It was Phoenix Void Dao.

People could not help but marvel — the Primordial Ancient Mine was staggeringly extraordinary. Exactly which Supreme Beings were hidden within it, no one could see clearly or measure.

Now, six Supreme Beings had gathered at this place. Without formal declaration, an alliance had been formed — to jointly smash open the immortal path, to challenge the three who stood before them. Their combined might was formidable beyond measure.

The previous time, not one of them had emerged — they had not recognized the opportunity of several hundred years prior. But this time, every one of them had stepped forward. This alone spoke to the extraordinary quality of their judgment.

These six individuals were absolutely and utterly terrifying!

Even now, with merely their auras stirring, many great stars in the cosmos were permanently dimmed and reduced to ash. They were drawing in innate vital essence, adjusting their own states — to enter in their most powerful condition.

Some among them cast cold gazes outward, glancing once at Ye Fan — but did not act. If he did not descend and did not compete against them, then he was not an adversary.

After the previous great tribulation, the number of Supreme Beings seemed to have diminished slightly — but each and every one remaining was a terrifying figure, and their collective power remained incomparably mighty.

Boom!

The great battle erupted. All six of them pounced together toward the Transforming Serpent, the Desolate Extinction Celestial Sovereign, and the prehistoric creature, sending this place into a raging inferno. Were it not for the immortal path’s runes, all would be reduced to ashes and rubble.

Heaven and earth crumbled, ghosts wailed and gods howled. The immortal path showed no mercy — words meant nothing here. Only strength was the ultimate truth.

Star systems shattered, a rain of light filled the sky, white immortal energy spread violently outward — the Transforming Serpent and the others were powerful, but they could not withstand the assault of six. Yet then a startling development occurred: the formation runes of the sealed ground emerged, vast as an ocean of aura.

An ancient formation platform appeared. All power unleashed by the combatants was absorbed by it, and the Transforming Serpent, the Desolate Extinction Celestial Sovereign, and the prehistoric creature had blood and vital energy surging wildly — drawn out from them. All three were violently shaken.

“What is this?” The White Tiger Daoist man was startled.

“It is… the Sovereign Emperor’s aura!” The Phoenix Wing Gilded Trident trembled, crimson clouds rolling, the blade’s edge flashing with cold light.

“What? Is the Sovereign Emperor… still alive?!” This was a stunning piece of news.

The ancient ground rumbled and thundered. A vast aura surged — all of heaven and earth resonated in response. Swaths of star seas went dark, and all vital essence came flooding in frantically to fill this place.

“The Sovereign Emperor!” The Desolate Extinction Celestial Sovereign suddenly cried out, his voice erupting into madness. It seemed he had gone from slightly more lucid back to a state of absolute awakening, his ashen hair thrashing wildly, causing the vault of heaven to explode without cease.

A surging, overwhelming blood aura took form. It was as though in this place, a supreme overlord was being resurrected!

“Everyone — act quickly! Stop him from emerging!” The White Tiger Daoist man roared.

“And what of the Sovereign Emperor? Even if he is stronger still, can he truly be stronger than all of us combined? Does he intend to stand at the entrance of the immortal path and take the hope of immortality from all of us? Kill him!” the Beast God bellowed, attacking with frenzied intensity.
