Chapter 1757: The Imperial Dao Emerges

Everyone knew that moment was coming โ€” the critical turning point of earth-shattering change was imminent, not far off!

The great age shook the heavens, and this atmosphere was suffocating. The ten thousand living beings on the Immortal Ascension Star trembled โ€” all manner of savage beasts and fierce birds let out mournful cries, and holy-level existences led their clans in mass migrations, no longer daring to scheme or harbor any delusions.

In truth, most had already left long ago.

Over these years, Supreme Beings had manifested their phantom deities one after another to do battle here. Even if sages and saints were supremely talented and yearned desperately to enter the immortal realm, they could not possibly contend against those figures.

Ye Fan’s eyes opened and closed, and he sat cross-legged in the cosmos throughout, fixed upon the great star before him. This was the thirty-sixth major clan he had witnessed leaving the Immortal Ascension Star.

The great clans migrated in a tide that blotted out the sky โ€” rushing out into the stellar void beyond. There were enormous beast lords, and divine birds whose wingspans blotted out the sun and moon. These were the Kunlun Remnant Clans, and even as powerful as they were, at this moment they had no choice but to lower their heads.

“Ancestor โ€” I hope you can win!”

Ye Fan’s heart lurched. There in the void, his mind was in a state of perfect stillness โ€” and he actually perceived the heart-speech of a flood dragon, capturing that ripple of spiritual fluctuation. It was startling.

Did the place sealed beneath have an ancestor of the Kunlun Remnant Clans among the imprisoned? Something seemed off โ€” the timeline didn’t add up.

He extended his divine sense, probing the various savage beast clans and sensing the thoughts of several divine bird lineages โ€” but found no startling revelations. These remnant clans merely felt this place might be connected to their ancestors.

All clans across the cosmos were migrating. The final group of Qi cultivators and Kunlun Remnant Clans still remaining on the Immortal Ascension Star were among the slowest to act โ€” over these years, fear had spread through them without cease, while all others had long since moved.

Even the Heavenly Court was no different. The Ten Great Secret Realms were opened. The Black Emperor, the Demon-Man, Ye Tong, and several other important figures personally led the groups, escorting everyone inside to be sealed away.

Boom!

Upon the Immortal Ascension Star, the final great stele appeared โ€” taller and more towering than all the others. Runes flickered across it in dense profusion. With its emergence, the entire forest of steles seemed to come alive.

The earth rumbled and shook, and all the stone steles began to move. A world-overturning transformation took place. Seated in the starry sky, Ye Fan’s brow twitched โ€” the mountains and rivers had changed.

The forest of steles at the central ancient ground shifted, tracing out the contours of a vast and boundless territory โ€” within it, nine dragons in a posture of charging through a pass!

The terrain rose and fell, and the mountains and rivers changed, revealing their true original appearance. At the central ancient ground, nine great dragons lay coiled โ€” and surrounding them, countless smaller mountains surged upward with thunderous rumbling. Those were ten thousand dragons!

Ten thousand dragons charging the pass โ€” seeking to plunge beneath the earth, to enter another realm!

This was the true terrain of the Immortal Ascension Star’s sealed ground, now at last revealing itself. Primordial mist billowed and rose; the roars of immortals and demons flickered in and out of audibility, shaking the high heavens.

No one had anticipated the earth-shattering change would come so quickly. After forty-nine years of sustained transformation, the final instant directly triggered the grand opening โ€” the seal on the Immortal Ascension Star was about to be lifted.

Demonic energy surged skyward and immortal energy burst forth. The ten thousand dragon-shaped mountains seemed to come back to life โ€” baring their fangs and brandishing their claws, transitioning from mountains into corporeal forms, seeking to shatter permanence and enter the immortal realm.

The sound of iron chains rang through the air, shattering the stillness โ€” growing ever clearer. These were not the sounds of a lock, but rather the clanking of shackles. Someone was struggling to break free.

There was a living creature inside!

Boom!

A thunderous sound rang out. From the subterranean world erupted a brilliant tide of light, rending the void asunder and opening a passage โ€” great waves of radiant rain flew outward.

“The immortal path has appeared!” Someone โ€” it was impossible to tell who โ€” cried out in shock.

All who had survived the Great Tribulation of the Northern Dipper knew what it was: the rain of light of the immortal path, the passage being the great rift of the immortal realm โ€” it had appeared once before in that era, and now it had manifested again.

“It truly is connected to ascending to immortality. This place is about to open another road!” Someone exclaimed.

Noiselessly, a silhouette appeared from thin air โ€” a Supreme Being had arrived. Their figure was blurred and indistinct to outside observers, clearly an Imperial Dao Supreme Being.

The Life Forbidden Zones of the Northern Dipper stirred like rolling thunder, and more people were about to emerge โ€” about to rush toward the Immortal Ascension Star.

They had guarded and waited for so many years, and finally, this lifetime had arrived. They had to contend and struggle โ€” to seize immortality and eternal life from the heavens. To miss this lifetime might mean missing the chance forever.

Thud!

A heavy boom reverberated from below the earth, muffled and resonant โ€” making one’s heart and lungs tremble. Then a storm of stones shot into the sky, and many great steles shattered into powder.

The great rift of the immortal path was spreading, its center at the sealed ancient ground, radiating outward like cracks left by a bullet piercing glass.

“Roarrr…!”

At last, a world-shaking roar rang out โ€” accompanied by the clamor of enormous shackles. A colossal creature was breaking free, about to emerge and manifest in the mortal world.

“In this lifetime, I will become an immortal!”

It was a vast wave of energy that shattered the vault of heaven. Ye Fan opened his Primordial Celestial Eye and witnessed an inconceivable scene: beneath the earth, a great serpent-shaped creature vast as a river of stars lay imprisoned โ€” overwhelmingly enormous, its entire body resplendent โ€” yet it had been pierced through its body by immortal iron chains, locking it down below.

Moreover, there was a pool of immortal source nearby โ€” nowhere near as large as its body โ€” but it was from within that pool that the creature had managed to break free first, revealing its enormous true form only after escaping.

“The Transforming Serpent โ€” one of the primal ancestors of the Kunlun Remnant Clans. It is still alive, waiting here!” A Supreme Being who had already taken position in this place murmured quietly.

Boom!

The Northern Dipper was thrown into turmoil. Within the Primordial Ancient Mine, brilliant clouds of luminous aurora bloomed with undying, auspicious radiance. A great purple dragon soared skyward, blanketing the entire expanse of heaven, shaking past, present, and future alike.

Most striking was a single dragon’s roar โ€” all four expanses of sky trembled at the sound. The dragon swiftly transformed into a purple-haired man of medium height โ€” not particularly imposing in stature, yet utterly soul-shaking in presence, exuding authority without anger.

His pair of purple pupils was as deep and unfathomable as the ocean. Then, all at once, two bolts of purple lightning erupted from them, cleaving through the cosmos and shaking the boundless river of stars.

This was a Primordial Emperor!

Deep in the stellar void, purple-gold radiance surged dramatically, and the tolling of a great bell rang out. A great dragon burst through endless star systems and plunged directly into the Northern Dipper, descending downward.

“The one who slept most deeply has awakened โ€” one who in the past never once emerged into the world, only now appearing today. So he was still alive,” a powerful being within a forbidden zone said with a sigh.

The bell tones rolled on and on, purple light boiling. A great dragon coiled above the middle-aged man’s head โ€” it was the Ten Thousand Dragons Bell, quivering with joy and excitement, never having expected its master to still be alive.

Yes โ€” the middle-aged man was the Ten Thousand Dragons Emperor. A figure believed to have entered nirvana in the annals of history, long since ceased to exist โ€” had now emerged into the world.

This inspired deep awe. The Primordial Ancient Mine was truly terrifying and unfathomably deep, harboring such a great deity โ€” someone who by all rights should no longer exist in this world.

“Ha. The Holy Body is in trouble now. Since he has awakened from slumber, how could he not seek revenge? His daughter was slain by that Holy Body without mercy,” one Supreme Being said with a smile.

“The Holy Body likely doesn’t dwell on it anymore either. And he’s on good terms with that particular forbidden zone’s master. If it truly comes down to contending for the immortal path, it will be a battle to the death for everyone.” Another sighed.

In that moment, the river of stars exploded. Someone surged skyward from the Immortal Mausoleum as well, then arrived one after another alongside the Ten Thousand Dragons Emperor โ€” unstoppable, overwhelming. The moment their auras were released, nothing in the world could withstand them, and great stars crumbled to dust.

In the blink of an eye, they had arrived at the Immortal Ascension Star. Adding the figure who had arrived earlier, this turbulent place now had three silhouettes โ€” all fixing their eyes upon the world of the immortal path.

The Ten Thousand Dragons Emperor’s pupils turned icy cold. He abruptly looked up toward the stellar region where Ye Fan was located. Two bolts of purple lightning shot from his eyes and lit up the void. He did not act, however โ€” then wheeled sharply and turned to face the sealed ground once more.

“The Transforming Serpent… it is an ancestor of the Kunlun Remnant Clans. Was it not slain by the Sovereign Emperor? How is it still in this world?” The Supreme Being who had come from the Immortal Mausoleum expressed shock.

In that era, the Sovereign Emperor had fought his way through all nine heavens and ten earths without a single worthy rival, then launched an assault on the immortal mountain of Kunlun to seize the immortal bell โ€” stirring up the Supreme Beings there who had sealed themselves away. Yet none could halt his advance.

It was said the Transforming Serpent had been struck down and killed โ€” yet now it had appeared in the world again.

Boom!

The enormous serpentine body underground thrashed about, shattering mountains and rivers as it struggled to break free of its restraints. It cried out: “I will become an immortal โ€” the immortal path of this age was opened for me!”

“It has gone mad. Why did the Sovereign Emperor leave it alive? And moreover, sealing it within precious immortal source โ€” was he not simply handing a gift to his enemies? What a waste,” one Supreme Being said, unable to comprehend it.

But no one spoke further. The three figures were all wary of one another and kept apart at great distances โ€” perhaps, in their contest for the immortal path, a final climactic battle between them was ultimately inevitable.

Boom!

Suddenly, another explosion rang out from deep within the seal. As great chunks of immortal source disintegrated, a disheveled Daoist man burst upward โ€” his four limbs bound in shackles, his head thrown back in a furious roar.

His hair had long since turned ashen white, yet the power emanating from him was enough to shock all three Supreme Beings present, leaving all of them stunned. A nameless force radiated out from him, shaking everything.

In that instant, the mountains and rivers fell into stillness, and all living things withered. Endless vital essence from vegetation and all manner of living creatures flowed outward, converging toward him.

“Sever!”

The Ten Thousand Dragons Emperor shouted. Heaven and earth shattered, and his laws swept outward to cut off the space ahead โ€” for he had discovered that the strange Daoist man was also drawing upon his vital essence.

This was a terrifying individual โ€” one that left all three Supreme Beings chilled. The gray-haired Daoist man was clearly a formidable powerhouse of the Dao, decidedly no obscure or nameless figure. He was dangerous.

“The Desolate Extinction Celestial Sovereign!”

The Ten Thousand Dragons Emperor pronounced each word slowly and deliberately. He had already acted โ€” his power had clashed with that man’s, and in sensing his Great Dao, he immediately knew who it was.

One of the Nine Great Celestial Sovereigns of the Age of Mythology โ€” no one dared underestimate him. Not even ancient emperors could afford to!

No one had anticipated that a Supreme Being was imprisoned here. It was almost inconceivable โ€” even one of the Nine Great Celestial Sovereigns had been captured. This was a matter that would shake the annals of ten thousand ages.

In the stellar void, Ye Fan’s Celestial Eye flickered as he murmured to himself: “It grows ever more interesting. Even a Celestial Sovereign is still alive here. Is a true ancient path to immortality truly about to appear?”

Immortal music played in waves, dragons roared and tigers howled, and primordial colored mist billowed. From the deepest depths of the sealed ground came yet another disturbance โ€” a mysterious living creature was stirring back to life, about to manifest in this world.

“Is this ranked in order of era? The Transforming Serpent, the Celestial Sovereign โ€” and then what? Surely we are not truly about to witness an immortal?” The existence from the Immortal Mausoleum murmured to itself.

Boom!

An utterly supreme wave of energy surged forth, fierce and domineering โ€” the immortal mist boiled and roiled, yet still it could not conceal the aura of the creature below. Extreme terror โ€” beyond all description.

“This surely cannot truly be a creature from the immortal realm โ€” but then how would it have been sealed here?”

Hum!

The void trembled. From the depths of the sealed ground, dense clusters of runes appeared, reflecting upward. Immortal light pierced the vault of heaven, making even one’s divine soul feel unstable.

“What kind of seal is this โ€” so ancient!”

“No โ€” this is the primordial seal. The Transforming Serpent and the Desolate Extinction Celestial Sovereign were sealed here afterward. The living creature below existed here even before them.”

“The power of this sealing method is extraordinary. Is there truly someone in the world capable of such a thing? Could it be that the Sovereign Emperor laid this suppression himself โ€” yet the timeline doesn’t match up!”

In that moment, even the Supreme Beings from the forbidden zones exclaimed in wonder, feeling it to be far beyond any expectation. This place had exceeded their predictions โ€” it harbored secrets they had never imagined.
