Chapter 1085: Side Story – Livestream World 54

【This dungeon run was so fast — was it even an hour?】

【What can you do, the squad’s coordination is absolutely killer, haha! Hella NB indeed!】

【The building was practically getting blown apart — even the toughest monsters can’t survive *that* level of firepower~】

【I love the all-out-destruction style~ So satisfying!】

【Little Bai Cai was so good and well-behaved, didn’t slow anyone down one bit~ Your big brother loves you, muah~】

【Creepy uncle loves you too~ Muah~】

【Trash is still trash, stop defending her】

【Oh shut it~ She’s a one-person mobile supply depot, she’s cute AND fast on her feet — what more do you want?】

【Stop arguing! We’ve got a rare girl in the dungeon for once. Appreciate it while it lasts!】

…

Commentator: 【Congratulations to our Hella NB Squad on yet another outstanding achievement! They’ve broken the Azure Sky Squad’s record of 887 points, currently leading by 2 points! Ah~ I must say, this is quite an awkward score to hold, and no wonder our Captain Yuri is wearing that expression! Because this score really doesn’t allow for much peace of mind — it could be broken at any time. I wonder what our team members plan to do about it? Viewers and friends, to find out how this unfolds, click the follow button! Let’s wait and see together!】

The livestream ended. The commentator, the scrolling comments — all of it vanished.

The five of them stood amid the wreckage, temporarily at a loss for words.

After a long moment, Natasha gently patted Yuri on the shoulder and offered some comfort. “Whatever happens, at least we broke the record. This score might not necessarily be beaten.”

Yuri stared at the Queen’s remains, his gaze deep and heavy, and said nothing.

He clearly could not accept this score.

The last time they had entered this dungeon, with limited preparation on every front, they had still managed a high score of 867 points.

This time, they had carefully studied the building’s layout, devised a precise plan, moved first to eliminate the eggs before they hatched, and lured the guards into the stairwell to wipe them out —

They had done all of this work, fully cleared every variant, and made sure no one took so much as a scratch — and in the end, they had scored only 22 points more than the first run.

…That seemed somewhat unreasonable.

“Let’s go back and review.” Shen Mo said evenly. “Our planning and execution this run were both very thorough. The score being disappointing means we must have overlooked something.”

Yuri looked up at Shen Mo. “Overlooked something…”

A’Da said hesitantly, “Did you guys look at the tip count? The tips this run… they seem a bit low too.”

“That’s pretty normal, isn’t it?” Natasha said. “This run was short — the tip income from a one-hour stream naturally can’t compare to a four-hour one.”

A’Da thought about it. “That’s fair… but then, would the tip amount affect the score?”

“It shouldn’t.” Yuri slowly shook his head. “Some people intentionally drag out their streams for tips — they’ll even dance and sing in the dungeon, doing tricks to keep their sponsors happy. But we all know that spending too much time in a dungeon causes your score to drop sharply, so the tip amount definitely can’t affect the score.”

Yuri finished speaking, then sighed of his own accord, managing a strained smile. “Forget it. Whatever the case, we’re currently number one on the Queen’s Nest record board. Let’s go back and rest.”

Natasha also smiled, visibly more at ease. “Right — as long as we can hold this record, all we need to do next is clear the remaining dungeons, and we’ll have fully completed our objectives.”

Everyone packed up their things and left the building.

Bai Youwei lingered at the back, taking in the sticky scattered remains of severed limbs around her, then looking at the eggs that had perished unhatched…

“Youwei.”

Not far ahead, Shen Mo called her.

Bai Youwei responded and quickly caught up with the group.

…

Returning to the subway station, quite unfortunately, they ran into that flamboyant mustachioed man in the car once again.

Bai Youwei had no interest in engaging with him, but he deliberately sidled over, planted himself in front of the group, and said with a curled lip, “Sorry to say, looks like you all wasted a trip today~”

“Looking for trouble?” A’Da raised an eyebrow.

The man stroked his little mustache. “What, you haven’t heard? Our squad’s score is 895. The Queen’s Nest record — it’s ours now~”
