Chapter 113: Two Countries’ Secret Affairs

Following Chu Li’s words, Mu Yunjin looked at those four men. Indeed, none of them could move. They stood there with their eyes wide open, though nothing unusual could be detected for the moment.

“Let’s go up first,” Mu Yunjin said after looking for a while, hurriedly pulling Chu Li toward the third floor.

While walking on the stairs, Mu Yunjin spoke in a low voice, “Hey, when those men’s acupoints are unsealed later, won’t our cover be blown?”

“It won’t happen,” Chu Li replied with certainty.

“Why?” Mu Yunjin reflexively asked.

Chu Li patted Mu Yunjin’s head without answering her question.

After stepping onto the last stair, Mu Yunjin hardly dared to breathe. Looking inside, she saw a spacious third floor with a long corridor, and at the end of the corridor were two separate rooms.

At this moment, Mu Yunjin had freed herself from Chu Li’s embrace. After looking at both rooms, she glanced sideways at Chu Li.

Chu Li, with an indifferent expression, pointed to the other room and then walked toward it.

Mu Yunjin understood Chu Li meant they should split up. Finding this reasonable, she walked toward the room on the opposite side.

When she reached the door, Mu Yunjin discovered it was slightly ajar, not completely closed. Just as she was guessing Chu Qingzang might not be there, she heard faint moaning sounds from inside.

Mu Yunjin gently pushed the door open a bit with her finger. Peeking through the crack and seeing another closed door inside, she gave a mischievous smile, opened the door wider, and slipped in silently.

After entering, Mu Yunjin looked at the closed door in front of her. She carefully moved to the wall beside it and listened to the sounds coming from within.

“Your Highness, the Second Prince, please be gentler…”

Hearing this voice, Mu Yunjin felt as if she had been struck by lightning. The female voice inside was Chu Qingzang’s, and what they were doing, she naturally understood.

But what was this about “Second Prince”?

Could Chu Qingzang be fooling around with her second brother?

That would be too scandalous!

Mu Yunjin suddenly became interested. She pressed closer to the wall to hear more clearly. She hadn’t expected that not only did Chu Qingzang secretly run a brothel, but she was also having an affair with the Second Prince.

At this moment, Chu Li also entered through the outer door. Seeing Chu Li arrive, Mu Yunjin pressed her lips together and pointed inside.

Chu Li immediately understood and stood by Mu Yunjin’s side, listening to the activity within.

The moaning inside continued, with no sign of stopping anytime soon.

Standing outside the door, Mu Yunjin and Chu Li listened to the intimate sounds coming from inside. Standing in this small space, their gazes wandered, neither looking at the other.

After a while, the sounds inside stopped.

“Qingzang, are you satisfied?” A seductive male voice came from inside, full of wickedness.

Mu Yunjin looked at Chu Li, pouted, and held up two fingers, indicating that the person inside was the Second Prince.

Chu Li, however, frowned and shook his head at her.

Mu Yunjin didn’t quite understand what this head-shaking meant. She didn’t have time to figure it out as she continued listening to the conversation inside.

“Your Highness, the Second Prince, Qingzang has long experienced your skills. Now Qingzang only hopes to marry Your Highness soon and be by your side day and night,” Chu Qingzang’s soft voice came through.

“This prince knows that Qingzang has suffered over these years. After our long-planned great undertaking is complete, this prince will welcome you with a grand ceremony.”

“By the way, are there any recent developments in Western Yuan?” The man suddenly changed the subject.

Hearing this, Mu Yunjin froze outside the door. She exchanged glances with Chu Li, finally understanding that this “Second Prince” was not who she thought.

“Recently, the Qin family returned victorious from battle, rising in court position, and they’re hiding some small maneuvers behind the scenes. As for the Crown Prince position, the Father Emperor hasn’t shown any movement. However, he has privately summoned Chu Li, Chu Qing, and Chu Ye several times recently. I estimate the Crown Prince position will be among these three.”

After Chu Qingzang finished speaking, the man remained silent for a while before saying, “These three people, each one is extraordinary, especially Chu Li. His methods are almost identical to my elder brother’s.”

“Your Highness, please rest assured, Qingzang will help you keep a close watch on the court situation. Qingzang is your person and will always stand by your side,” Chu Qingzang reassured.

“My dear Qingzang, in this world, you are the one this prince cares for the most.”

“It’s getting late, this prince should leave. If there’s any situation, send someone to Moon Flower Tower to report immediately.”

Before the people inside could exit, Chu Li promptly pulled Mu Yunjin away. He opened a nearby window, and using lightness kung fu, they flew out of the Flower Moon Tower without making a sound.

“Go there,” Mu Yunjin pointed to the nearby Qing Mansion after they had flown out of the Flower Moon Tower.

Chu Li was slightly stunned but carried Mu Yunjin toward the Qing Mansion she had indicated.

After flashing into the courtyard of Qing Mansion, Mu Yunjin steadied herself, catching her breath a few times, then eagerly spoke, “I underestimated Chu Qingzang. I didn’t expect she was involved in treason!”

“Which country is that Second Prince from?” Mu Yunjin asked again.

Chu Li gave Mu Yunjin a calm look, “The Second Prince of Eastern Lin Kingdom, Rong Min.”

Eastern Lin Kingdom…

Hearing it was someone from the Eastern Lin Kingdom, Mu Yunjin frowned slightly, “How did those two get together?”

A princess of Western Yuan and a prince of Eastern Lin – how could they have become involved? She had almost thought Chu Qingzang was fooling around with Western Yuan’s Second Prince!

“Father Emperor has intended to betroth Chu Qingzang to Rong Min these past two years,” Chu Li answered.

“So that’s it. Then this Flower Moon Tower, while posing as a brothel on the surface, is a place for her and Rong Min to meet and exchange secrets. How interesting…” Mu Yunjin curled her lips.

Flower Moon Tower, Moon Flower Tower – it wasn’t a coincidence after all.

“What connection do you have with this place?” Chu Li looked at the facilities inside Qing Mansion, glancing at Mu Yunjin.

Mu Yunjin was startled, realizing there was nothing to hide. She curled her lips slightly, “This is a residence I bought recently. I went out earlier to check out the environment.”

“How is it? Not bad, right?” Mu Yunjin raised an eyebrow, her eyes full of pride for this residence she was quite satisfied with.

Chu Li pressed his lips together, glancing at her still-exposed clothing, frowning, “Change your clothes first.”

“Where can I change? We didn’t bring the original clothes,” Mu Yunjin lowered her eyes to look at the gauze dress she was wearing, then looked up at Chu Li. “Why don’t you go out and buy me something to wear?”

“…” Chu Li remained silent, pressing his lips together.

Seeing no reaction from him, Mu Yunjin crossed her arms, pointing to her exposed arms, “Or should I go to the street and buy it myself?”

“Wait here.” Chu Li looked away, his expression uncomfortable as he glanced at Mu Yunjin before walking out the door.

Seeing that Chu Li went out obediently to buy her clothes, Mu Yunjin burst into laughter and began wandering around. Ordering Chu Li to do things was truly something that improved her mood.

When she reached the back garden, Mu Yunjin leaned against a tree, her mind pondering Chu Qingzang and Rong Min’s affairs.

Originally, she had thought Chu Qingzang was simply running a brothel business, but she hadn’t expected it would be connected to secrets between two countries. This way, involving two nations, the matter was no small issue. She needed to think this through carefully.

Soon after, Chu Li returned from outside. As soon as he saw Mu Yunjin, he threw the clothes at her.

Mu Yunjin caught them, looked down at the clothes, and her mouth twitched. She bit her teeth and glared at Chu Li.

Men’s clothing – he had bought her men’s clothing!

A moment later, Mu Yunjin came out changed. After putting on these clothes that covered her completely, she felt much more comfortable.

“What should we do about Chu Qingzang and Rong Min?” Mu Yunjin looked at Chu Li with some hesitation.

“You should not get involved in this matter. Pretend you never knew,” Chu Li said indifferently, his tone carrying an unrefusable firmness.

Mu Yunjin was taken aback. In her heart, she was somewhat unwilling – Chu Qingzang had provoked her earlier, how could she swallow this anger? But since Chu Li had said so, it wouldn’t be good to contradict him. So she had to nod, appearing to agree.

“It’s getting late. Will you stay here or return to Green Shade?” Chu Li looked at the sky, then lowered his gaze to Mu Yunjin, speaking gently.

“Back to Green Shade, of course.”

“Mm.”

The two left Qing Mansion one after another. By the time they returned to Green Shade, the sky had gradually darkened. Mu Yunjin casually ate something, returned to her room, and fell asleep immediately.

The next day.

Mu Yunjin was awakened from her sleep by urgent knocking on the door.

“Who is it?” Mu Yunjin turned over sleepily, throwing a pillow toward the door.

The knocking outside the door stopped.

“Princess Consort, today is the day to go to the outskirts to learn formation-breaking techniques from Taoist Wind Xuan. You should get up early,” Ding Xian’s cautious voice came through.

Upon hearing the words “Taoist Wind Xuan,” Mu Yunjin pulled the blanket over her head. Having to learn from that old man, she was truly unwilling.

After lying for a while, Mu Yunjin pulled away the blanket and reluctantly got up to wash and change clothes.

After pushing open the door, she saw Ding Xian standing outside, who bowed to Mu Yunjin, “Princess Consort, you’re up…”

“Aren’t we going to the outskirts? Where’s Chu Li?” Mu Yunjin glanced at Ding Xian, who was alone.

Hearing this, Ding Xian smiled sheepishly, “His Highness went out early to handle matters. He instructed me to take you to the outskirts first.”

“Mm.” Mu Yunjin pouted and walked downstairs.

Half an hour later, the carriage stopped outside the grass hut from yesterday.

As soon as Mu Yunjin got out of the carriage, she heard Taoist Wind Xuan’s voice from inside the hut, “Only the little girl stays. The rest, go back!”

“Why?” Mu Yunjin stood lazily in place and spoke.

“Hmph, this formation-breaking technique is my unique skill. How can I casually display it before others?” Taoist Wind Xuan replied.

Mu Yunjin sighed slightly, glancing at Ding Xian and the black wood carriage nearby, “You can go.”

“Yes, Princess Consort.”

After Ding Xian left, Mu Yunjin walked into the grass hut. Upon entering, she saw that Taoist Wind Xuan was still sitting in the same meditation posture as yesterday.

At this moment, Taoist Wind Xuan lifted his eyelids slightly. His face changed from smiling to serious as he looked at Mu Yunjin, “The Xuanling True Scripture, how did you learn it?”
