Chapter 144: Rapid Lightening

Qi Xia and Qiao Jiajin slowly turned their heads and found Tiantian trembling as she held the knife.

Tears continuously flowed from her eyes, her expression extremely complex.

She looked like she didn’t want to die, but also didn’t want to live.

“I, I…” Tiantian’s lips trembled as she spoke. “I have a way…”

“Hey…” Qiao Jiajin extended his hand and slowly stood up. “I know you have a way, but put down the knife first.”

Qi Xia also stood up, slowly approaching Tiantian. “Your way won’t work… listen to me first…”

“Don’t come closer…” Tiantian stepped back. “I’m sorry, I can only do this…”

“No!” Qiao Jiajin interrupted. “I just looked at the dimensions of that opening. Even if you cut off your hand, you can’t throw it out! We’d still need time to cut your hand into pieces! But we don’t have time!”

Qi Xia swallowed hard and said to Tiantian, “Qiao Jiajin is right. Doing this is useless.”

“But you can’t cut through the wire mesh at all!” Tiantian cried out loudly. “I have a better way!”

“There is no better way!” Qi Xia also shouted. “Cutting the wire mesh is the only way!”

“No…!” Tiantian collapsed to the ground, crying uncontrollably. “You actually thought of it long ago, didn’t you… Qi Xia… This is the only way…”

“That method won’t work!!” Qi Xia took another step forward. “Let’s try something else!”

“Qi Xia… I don’t want to become charcoal. I’ve been filthy my whole life. I want to look beautiful when I die.”

“Qiao Jiajin! Quickly snatch the knife from her!!” Qi Xia screamed. “Quick!”

Before Qiao Jiajin could take a step forward, Tiantian suddenly raised the knife, placed it against the artery on the left side of her neck, and fiercely slashed down.

She didn’t hesitate at all.

A sound like a water pipe bursting suddenly rang out.

Blood sprayed over a meter high. In an instant, it was like a summer mist blowing over, carrying heat as it dyed everyone’s faces red.

The knife fell to the ground, and Tiantian also collapsed onto the floor.

The blood from her body gushed out unstoppably, raining red onto the ground.

“Tiantian!!”

Qiao Jiajin and Yun Yao ran over simultaneously and pressed down on the wound on her neck.

But the blood couldn’t be stopped at all, cunningly slipping away from between their fingers.

Yun Yao anxiously shed tears as large as beans.

She had experienced countless situations where teammates died in games, but this was the first time she wanted to cry.

Could such a foolish girl really exist in this world?

Even knowing she would come back to life after dying, who would willingly die?

“Damn it!” Qiao Jiajin kept pressing on Tiantian’s neck with both hands, but watched as her face visibly turned a pale color. “Beautiful lady… what the hell are you doing…”

Qi Xia slowly covered his forehead.

That familiar painful sensation came again.

“Urgh…!”

Qi Xia collapsed to the ground, painfully clutching his forehead.

“Liar!”

“Qi Xia!”

Yun Yao hurried over to check his condition, only to find him shaking all over from pain.

“What’s going on?” Yun Yao asked. “Does Qi Xia have some kind of illness?”

“I don’t know either…” Qiao Jiajin said. “Liar, where do you feel unwell?”

Qi Xia didn’t answer, only curled up on the ground waiting for that wave of intense pain to pass.

The weight balance was broken once again. The room began to rise.

Qi Xia knew the key to breaking through this level was “bloodletting.”

An adult human body could contain up to 5000 milliliters of blood, equivalent to about ten pounds in weight.

This was incomparable to cutting off two hands.

The weight difference between the two rooms had been very small to begin with. If one side could rapidly “discard” several pounds, they would definitely win.

If one wanted to release a large amount of blood in a very short time, cutting an artery was the only method.

A full thirty seconds passed before Qi Xia stood up expressionlessly.

“You…” Yun Yao felt something was wrong with Qi Xia’s expression. “Are you alright?”

“Do I look like I’m not alright?” Qi Xia asked back, then continued expressionlessly, “Watch. We’re going to win.”

Qiao Jiajin and Yun Yao looked at each other, not understanding.

Qi Xia, who had just been in obvious pain, suddenly seemed like a different person.

He was neither sad nor panicked. His entire being was like stagnant water, as if indifferent to everyone’s death.

Qi Xia walked to the wall, looked at the still-struggling opposite side, and threw the knife out as well.

Just as Qi Xia had said, they were going to win.

As the blood from Tiantian’s body flowed out in large quantities, their room also began to slowly rise, moving away from the flames beneath their feet.

The other side seemed to have thought of some method again, but they all failed.

The distant room was like a moth, rushing into the flames without hesitation.

Screams came again.

The flames had completely engulfed the room.

Qi Xia turned his head carelessly, only to discover the countdown on the wall had ended.

The second after the countdown ended, their room suddenly began shaking violently, as if flying at high speed.

The three people steadied themselves against the walls. After a long while, they finally felt the room stop shaking.

“What’s going on?” Qiao Jiajin asked.

Qi Xia looked down at his feet. Below the wire mesh floor had become a wooden floor. It seemed they had arrived at another unfamiliar place.

Clack!

Creak!

A slight sound came from behind them. Everyone discovered that wall had turned back into a door, which was now open.

Outside the door was a corridor.

And directly opposite was another iron door.

Qi Xia was the first to walk out of the room, then looked back. Behind him was indeed an elevator.

But where had this elevator just led to?

Was the iron door opposite another elevator?

“Congratulations.” Man-Dragon stood to the side and spoke. “You’ve won the game.”

Qi Xia turned to look at him and found him standing in the center of the corridor with a cabinet on each side, containing some clothing.

“My game pays great attention to service. I’ve already collected everything you threw out and placed it here.” Man-Dragon laughed. “Quickly put on your clothes. Don’t catch a cold.”

Everyone felt somewhat uncomfortable, but they silently walked over and picked up the clothes to put them on.

Yun Yao’s bag and shoes had been chopped to pieces, but she had recovered her cosmetics.

“Man-Dragon… you’ll regret toying with me like this.” Qi Xia said after getting dressed.

“Toying with you?” Man-Dragon’s eyes blinked beneath his mask. “Where did I toy with you?”

After speaking, he walked to the other iron door and knocked on it with his hand. “Is anyone else coming out?”

The iron door emitted heat, but no one answered.

“How strange… I invited you all to play on a seesaw, but somehow people ended up dying?” Man-Dragon looked at Qi Xia meaningfully. “Why do you think that is?”

“What?”

Qi Xia’s brow furrowed as he stared intently at Man-Dragon.

Man-Dragon smiled and answered, “The rules of this game are very simple. If everyone just stays still, you can come out when the countdown ends.”
