“Kill…!”
Bones covered the ground, rivers ran with blood, mountains and rivers shattered. Iron cavalry filled the sky and earth, great banners snapping in the wind, killing cries shaking the heavens.
Armies of thousands and tens of thousands trampled the Wang Family. The battle had reached its final stage. The barbarian army charged with ferocious valor, driving deep into the sacred earth.
No war has ever been beautiful. It was a canvas soaked in blood, filled with slaughter and death — a single glimpse enough to take one’s breath away.
“Ahh…!”
Screams rang out. A half-step great power was cleaved in two by a single blow. A line of iron cavalry charged straight through the gap between the two halves of the corpse.
Pu!
A powerful expert struck out, severing the head of a barbarian knight. At the same time, he cleaved the barbarian beast the knight had ridden in half, sending a great shower of blood raining down, the corpse plummeting from high in the sky.
Crack!
A spiked club came crashing down, bursting the skull of a middle-aged man into a thousand crimson blossoms — bright red blood and white brain matter mingling together in a sight too brutal to look upon.
Rumble…!
A golden war chariot charged at full speed, leaving a trail of dazzling brilliance across the vault of heaven as it ground through the barbarian army. In an instant, a swath of cavalry was reduced to a paste of blood, broken bones scattering everywhere — sickening to behold.
A true battlefield will never inspire awe at the grandeur of rivers and mountains.
If one must describe its vastness in some way — the canvas of this scene had as its backdrop a ground strewn with prostrate corpses, with white bones and red blood as its ink, and the withering of the flower of life as its embellishment. There was only cruelty.
Several thousand cavalry had broken through into the sacred earth. High overhead, the stone axe and the Divine Maiden Furnace hung suspended, their blooming Dao flowers unfurling petal after petal — each petal releasing cloud-piercing streaks of light, divine sounds resonating within — sheltering everyone, preventing the opposing sacred weapon from grinding them down.
“Kill…!”
Now there was no other sound. The cries of combat were everywhere. Once the sacred earth was breached, the fighting grew ever more brutal.
The great saint’s weapons of the human race began their contest. Waves of Dao traces burst outward at intervals, piercing through nine layers of heaven, generating new pocket worlds. Saint-light cascaded down, filling the sky.
Earth, fire, wind, and water turned in their cycle — as though creation itself were beginning anew, the breath of primordial chaos pouring out.
In the sky, war chariots, ancient ships, and the like disintegrated and fell in swathes. The cavalry below were also periodically swept by the collateral force and dissolved into blood mist. Casualties mounted on both sides.
Even with both sides’ sacred weapons protecting their own people, there were moments when the protection was breached — leaving scenes of carnage in their wake.
Of course, the Wang Family was bearing far worse of it. On the barbarian side, two great saint weapons appeared together, overpowering the purple-lightning hammer. The sacred earth within was increasingly unable to hold — on the verge of collapse.
Mixed in among the carnage were a few incomplete sacred weapons as well — but these were of no real consequence. Compared to true sacred instruments passed down through the ages, they were like crude primitive arms.
“Go — better to keep the green hills than to have no firewood to burn!”
“Today our clan has been overrun. One day we will make you pay for this in blood tenfold.”
Many of the Wang Family’s powerful members were shouting. Within the sacred earth, there were numerous formation platforms that led to distant places, allowing them to traverse the void and escape. They were preparing to abandon their ancestral home and withdraw.
“You think you can leave — just try it!” The Barbarian Clan Chief called out loudly.
All manner of radiance erupted as formation platforms were fully activated — yet not one of them could open a void gate. Every single one was rendered useless. The path through the void had been cut off entirely.
“How is this possible?!” The Wang Family’s people fell into despair. Many cried out in anguish. Even a path to escape had been sealed — every direction barred, every exit closed.
Before launching the assault on the Wang Family, the barbarian clan had already made comprehensive preparations. Even if they could defeat this great clan, allowing them to escape would be enormously dangerous.
An ancient clan driven to madness could visit untold calamity upon the barbarian clan in the future. Therefore, the very moment the barbarian forces breached the perimeter, barbarian ancient formation banners had sealed off the void.
“Go down together — take them with us!” There were still fierce and unyielding souls within the Wang Family, shrieking in frenzy, wanting to drag the barbarian clan down into destruction with them.
“Mutual annihilation — let us all return to dust!” Many people were inflamed by this sentiment, their expressions savage, nearly all of them gone mad.
The entire sacred earth began to glow — on the verge of igniting. All of the Wang Family’s divine sources, ancient weapons, divine formations, and everything else were to be destroyed together — burned away and vaporized.
If it erupted, the power unleashed would be world-destroying. The Wang Family’s royal weapons, tens of thousands of powerful experts, incomplete sacred weapons, and grand formations combined — the result would be catastrophic. Once it ignited, the barbarian army too would be dragged into endless ruin.
But none of this could come to pass, for high in the heavens stood a barbarian ancient warrior — the reserve of the Southern Ridge Barbarian Clan. While suppressing the Primordial Ancestral Beast, he had been keeping watch on what was happening below.
A thick column of battle energy poured down from the heavens, instantly engulfing the entire sacred earth. Every last stirring of agitation, every flash of radiance, was restrained and drawn inward.
“Heaven has forsaken our clan…!”
“How can this be? Can we not even take our enemies down with us?!”
Many of the Wang Family’s people screamed. Their expressions were twisted and distorted, filled with anguish and unwillingness.
“If our clan falls, disaster will come to you as well. The Southern Ridge will be slaughtered until not a single bone remains, until not a blade of grass grows.” The Wang Family’s people cursed.
“That’s right — the primordial royal clans will emerge into the world. You have broken our Wang Family’s sacred earth. One day you will be bathed in blood for it!” The Wang Family’s people let out a cruel, contemptuous laugh.
The Barbarian Clan Chief called out loudly: “We long knew of your dealings with the primordial clans. Today we are removing you first — lest you become a source of great calamity in the future.”
The Barbarian King also spoke: “The primordial royal clans will not launch a massive assault on the human race. Your hope is likely to come to nothing.”
“Let the weapons of our ancient ancestors burn — destroy all our enemies!”
“Sacred weapon of our great saint — heed the will of the ancestors, protect our Wang Clan, achieve mutual annihilation together with all our enemies!”
Many of the Wang Family’s people fell to their knees, prostrating toward the sky — kowtowing to the purple-lightning hammer. At the same time, many elders murmured and chanted, seeking to summon the last of their reserves.
Even knowing this would be futile — utterly unable to withstand even a single palm strike from the war god in the sky — they still wanted to summon it, to carry out one final act of madness.
The purple-lightning hammer blazed intensely. Purple energy surged and billowed. The breath of the great Dao spread out — as though boring through the ages and all the heavens. It truly was preparing for mutual annihilation — seeking to destroy itself along with the other two sacred weapons.
“All of it is futile…” Ye Fan said, his voice indifferent.
Tens of thousands of barbarian warriors worked together to channel the Divine Maiden Furnace and the stone axe, carrying out their final resistance — unafraid of the Wang Family’s frenzy.
And most critically of all — the barbarian ancient war god was still overhead, having already suppressed the Primordial Ancestral Beast, which now followed alongside him like a tamed mount, descending from on high.
Zheng!
The stone axe — left behind by the barbarian clan’s ancient great saint — shot toward the sky and hung in the air close to the divine source block. A startling aura erupted in a single instant. This massive barbarian warrior, channeling the weapon alone, was more terrifying by far than tens of thousands of cavalry working together.
Hum!
The axe split the vault of heaven and came pressing down. The purple-lightning hammer immediately began to shudder. Before true saint-level might — without a true master to wield it — it was simply no match.
The so-called reserves that had emerged from the purple-lightning hammer’s inner world came out one after another — each one reduced to ash before anyone could see clearly what they were, all destroyed by the barbarian ancient warrior.
“No…! Ahh!” The Wang Family cried out, their voices torn and heartbroken.
But none of it mattered. The thousand words of the defeated cannot outweigh the victor’s single glance. They had all fallen into despair.
The purple-lightning hammer struggled to ignite itself. The divine spirit within sought to break free. It even attempted self-destruction — yet nothing had any effect.
Hum!
The void trembled. Under the control of the barbarian ancient war god, the stone axe opened its inner pocket world and swallowed the purple-lightning hammer within it. The terrifying surges of power that had been roiling through heaven and earth vanished.
Shua!
In a flash of light, the barbarian ancient warrior — along with the now-suppressed Primordial Ancestral Beast — also disappeared into the stone axe. Gone.
The great axe descended, returning to the sky above the barbarian army, circulating its saint energy.
Now, the outcome had been decided. Every reserve the Wang Family had — including their sacred weapons passed down through the generations — had been lost. There was no longer any strength left to turn things around.
“March upon the Northern Plains — sweep the Wang Family from the earth!”
“We are about to accomplish something extraordinary — breaking through an undying lineage, avenging our kinsmen, displaying our clan’s might!”
“Kill — trample the Northern Plains’ ancient clan into the ground!”
Everything would now settle into place. The great situation could no longer be changed. The Barbarian King swung the bone club in his hand, commanding the charge. The sky was dense with cavalry, all surging into the sacred earth.
“Children — the battle that follows belongs to you. I will stand here and watch you fight. You must all be tempered by the baptism of blood and fire. Only this way can you become true barbarian ancient warriors.” The Barbarian King rose into the sky, standing beneath the dark clouds, and roared to everyone.
A thousand armies and ten thousand cavalry trampled the Wang Family!
In that instant, this became reality. The barbarian army swept all before them, surging into the sacred earth, breaking through without cease. Every step forward added more bones to the ground.
When an army collapses, it collapses like a mountain. The Wang Family’s people scattered in desperate flight — as frantic as a homeless stray dog, as panicked as fish caught in a net. All will to fight had long since dissolved. They fled continuously, leaving behind a trail of countless corpses.
In that moment, nothing was left that could check the advance of tens of thousands of cavalry. The outcome was sealed.
Ahead, ancient ceremonial towers stood in rows. Without needing to imagine, it was clear — this was the Wang Family’s accumulation of a hundred thousand years and more. Surely within lay boundless divine objects and treasures.
Ye Fan stood in the sky, standing shoulder to shoulder with the Barbarian Clan Chief, the old Barbarian King, and the others. Li Tian and Yan Yixi stood close by.
“The time has come. As planned — send out the word and let a thousand armies and ten thousand cavalry pour into the Northern Plains.” Ye Fan said.
As an ancient clan, the Wang Family had governed the Northern Plains and looked out upon the world in commanding authority — as one of the oldest and most powerful forces in existence, they naturally had many powerful enemies.
Before the battle, Ye Fan had considered whether to ally with those people, but ultimately decided against it. The Wang Family’s prestige had accumulated over far too long — those people would never dare respond. Worse, they might let the news slip.
Now that the great situation had been decided, there was no reason not to inform them. It was time for them to play their role — to carry out the final mop-up and pursuit.
The Barbarian King said: “Come — let us go to the Wang Family’s ancient ceremonial towers and have a look. The ancient scriptures of human great saints go without saying — there may also be sacred materials for weapon forging, and perhaps even a scroll or two of ancient emperor scriptures.”
Before dawn broke, in the depths of that night, a thousand armies and ten thousand cavalry poured into the Northern Plains!
None could say how many powerful factions came surging in. The entire vast expanse of the Northern Plains shuddered.
“Young Ye, that move of yours was ruthless. The Wang Family is completely finished. Even those who escape won’t evade the pursuit of all those old enemies. From this day forward, they are erased from the world.” Li Tian said. An undying lineage was truly about to be brought to its end.
That night, all under heaven was shaken. The five domains boiled over!
An ancient clan had fallen — as though a myth itself had been shattered!
A hundred thousand years had passed — and now someone had accomplished this extraordinary feat again. Horses trampling an ancient clan, one battle shaking all under heaven!
“The sacred constitution — it was actually him who led tens of thousands of cavalry to trample the Wang Family of the Northern Plains!”
Never had news spread so swiftly as it did today. It was a matter of the utmost urgency, and in barely half a night, it had reached every great domain.
