Chapter 1832: Feng Clan Arc: Isn’t a Whole Day Enough?

“Night Prince, I—” Jia Jinshan stood up.

“City Lord Jia, His Highness has made himself very clear. You’re tired too — best to take your leave now.”

Yu Jingfeng waved his hand again.

Wang Yutang came to the center of the hall and bowed to Feng Li. “Night Prince, this Wang will take his leave now.”

“Mm.” Feng Li nodded and waved a hand.

Jia Jinshan furrowed his brow and also cupped his hands. “Night Prince, until we meet again!”

Yu Jingfeng led the two of them away, and their personal guards followed as well.

Feng Li looked at Dai Jinyan. Dai Jinyan came to the center of the hall and knelt down.

“This general is willing to continue following the Night Prince.”

“Good.” Feng Li nodded lightly. “General Dai, rise.”

“Yes.” Dai Jinyan cupped her hands and stood.

“Why don’t we all rest a while, then discuss further?” Feng Jiu’er suggested.

“Mm.” Feng Li nodded lightly. “Jiu’er, go arrange lodging for General Dai and her people. Wu Ya, stay behind.”

Feng Jiu’er turned back and gave Di Wu Ya a reluctant glance, then stood and looked up at Feng Li.

“Father, don’t talk too long. I still have a lot of things to discuss with him.”

“Go rest at once!” Feng Li knitted his brows and waved his long fingers.

“Go.”

Di Wu Ya gently patted Feng Jiu’er’s small shoulder. “You already have dark circles under your eyes.”

Feng Jiu’er turned back, her crescent brows knitting lightly. “Do you dare look down on me?”

“I wouldn’t dare.” Di Wu Ya shook his head slightly, his expression gentle.

Feng Jiu’er raised her hand and knocked lightly on his head, then walked off.

“General Dai, let’s go.”

Feng Jiu’er arranged matters for Dai Jinyan, then went to Di Wu Ya’s tent.

After filling her stomach and washing up properly, she lay down on the bed and fell asleep before long.

An hour later, Di Wu Ya returned and saw the woman on the bed, hugging the blanket, sleeping sweetly.

He sat down at the bedside, reached out his large hand, and gently pulled away the blanket that was in the way.

Feng Jiu’er slowly opened her eyes, saw the man drawing near, and used both hands and both feet to lock him in place.

“Ninth Imperial Uncle, I’m so tired, so sleepy. Stay and sleep with me a while longer.”

Di Wu Ya took her small hands and one small short leg and turned her over.

He wrapped his arms around her from behind, kissed her hair, and closed his eyes.

Feng Jiu’er rubbed against him, found a comfortable position, and her breathing quickly evened out again.

After resting for the better part of a day, everyone gradually came out of the tents to move about — except Feng Jiu’er, who was nowhere to be seen.

After dinner had passed, Xiao Yingtao and Gong Xinyue couldn’t help but come looking for her.

“Long Qi, has Jiu’er still not woken up?” Xiao Yingtao asked.

“Miss Jiu’er and His Highness have already had dinner together.” Long Qi replied.

“Oh.” Xiao Yingtao nodded. “Go in and tell her I’m looking for her, if you would.”

“What do you need me for?” Feng Jiu’er’s lazy voice came from inside.

“Feng Jiu’er.” Xiao Yingtao looked at the candlelight inside the tent. “Do you plan to hole up in His Highness’s arms for the rest of your life?”

“Yes. You’re only figuring that out now?” Feng Jiu’er answered, raising her eyes.

She truly was curled up in the Ninth Imperial Uncle’s embrace. She felt that in this world, aside from her father, there was no warmer place than this embrace.

Di Wu Ya lowered his eyes and pressed a kiss to her forehead.

“I’ll handle whatever’s left. Go out and have some fun.”

Since the two of them had woken up, they hadn’t parted at all. They ate together, discussed military matters together, utterly wrapped up in each other.

“Mm.” Feng Jiu’er struggled a bit and got out of Di Wu Ya’s arms, kneeling beside him.

“I’ll go see what activities they’ve got going. If there’s food, I’ll bring some back for you.”

“Mm.” Di Wu Ya doted on her, rubbing her head. “Go on, come back early to rest.”

Feng Jiu’er’s little face flushed red. She nodded quickly, stood up at once, turned, and ran off.

“Feng Jiu’er, have you no shame? I’ve discovered you really have no shame left at all these days.”

“Are you coming out or not? If you don’t, we’re leaving!”

“We’re really leaving, don’t regret it!”

“Jiu’er, come out, hurry!”

Xiao Yingtao stood with her hands on her hips, shouting until her voice nearly went hoarse.

Long Qi coughed lightly from time to time, his face full of amusement.

He waited until Xiao Yingtao quieted down before saying, “Miss Xiao Yingtao, why don’t you go on ahead? I think Miss Jiu’er and His Highness still have things to attend to.”

“What’s there to attend to? Isn’t a whole day enough?” Xiao Yingtao frowned.

“Feng Jiu’er, you’d better—” Before she could finish, she saw a figure passing by inside.

Feng Jiu’er swept the curtain aside and appeared in front of Xiao Yingtao.

She rolled her eyes, crouched down, pulled on her boots, flicked her long hair, and stood up.

“What are you shouting about?”

Xiao Yingtao smiled faintly, went over, hooked her arm through Feng Jiu’er’s, and pulled her along.

“Jiu’er, you look so beautiful! The more I look, the more beautiful you are.”

Feng Jiu’er had changed into a goose-yellow dress, her long hair flowing, looking even more captivating under the moonlight and candlelight.

“What exactly is going on?” Feng Jiu’er frowned at the one holding her arm.

“Nothing much, really.” Xiao Yingtao clung to her. “Didn’t you say you loved bonfire gatherings?”

“We’ve got a fire going in the woods out back.”

“Jian Yi even brought back a wild boar and a mountain goat.”

Xiao Yingtao’s smile stiffened slightly, and she glanced back before turning around again.

“Aren’t we worried about Yu Jingfeng scolding us? So with you there, no one will dare scold us.”

“Yu Jingfeng would scold you?” Feng Jiu’er raised an eyebrow.

Either way, she was hungry again, and just thinking about a whole roasted goat made her mouth water.

“He would.” Xiao Yingtao nodded vigorously. “Hasn’t Xue Piao not come back yet? Big Yu’s been like a firecracker about to go off.”

“Everyone’s looking forward to Xue Piao coming back soon.”

Feng Jiu’er raised an eyebrow and looked off into the distance.

“Where’s your camp?”

“Over there.” Xiao Yingtao pointed to the front right. “It’s far from yours, like we’ve been abandoned.”

Feng Jiu’er let out a snorting laugh.

“Hasn’t Jian Yi been resting? He went hunting too?”

“No idea.” Xiao Yingtao shook her head. “Since you weren’t around, he had nothing better to do anyway.”

Feng Jiu’er pressed her lips together, at a loss for words.

Everyone else had found someone they liked, and yet Hero Jian Yi was still standing in place.

That guy — already in his late twenties, and still hadn’t opened up his heart.

The camp Yu Jingfeng had prepared for Xiao Yingtao and the others was a bit far, but it was close to the woods, with hills and water nearby.

Feng Jiu’er arrived behind their camp, glanced around, raised both arms, and took a deep breath.

When she turned back, she saw Jian Yi sitting not far behind her.

A moment ago, he hadn’t been there.

“Brother Jian Yi.” Feng Jiu’er went over and sat down with him.

Jian Yi was lying down; Feng Jiu’er lay down too.

She turned her head to look at him, blinking her eyes.

Suddenly, Jian Yi also turned his head, meeting Feng Jiu’er’s gaze.

“Jiu’er, are you about to have a baby?”

Feng Jiu’er froze, blinking, following his gaze downward, landing on her own belly.

She wrapped both arms around her belly and glared at Jian Yi.

“Jian Yi, you’re bullying me!”
