Chapter 1858: Feng Clan Arc: What Kind of Behavior Is This!

“Ahhh… the Prince is full of surprises, isn’t he?”

“The Prince is so romantic!”

“What was that thing? I’ve never seen anything like it before.”

“I know, that’s a diamond ring — that sparkling little thing is a diamond!”

“Never thought the drawing Jiu’er casually sketched would actually come true!”

“Do diamonds really exist in this world? I thought Jiu’er was joking with us — a diamond is forever, one lasts a lifetime!”

“As long as Miss Jiu’er is happy, the Prince would pluck even the stars from the sky for her.”

“Say yes to him, say yes to him!”

Someone shouted it out, and it seemed to snap everyone else into action.

“Say yes to him, say yes to him!”

The whole crowd suddenly shouted in unison.

Feng Jiu’er was so moved by Di Wu Ya’s deeply affectionate gaze that for a moment she didn’t react at all.

It wasn’t until the crowd’s booming, unified voices rang out that her mind was pulled back.

Feng Jiu’er looked at the man kneeling before her, blinked, then glanced down at the ring in her hand.

“I never said I wouldn’t say yes — get up.”

The words had barely left Feng Jiu’er’s mouth when Di Wu Ya suddenly surged forward and pulled her tight against him.

Before Feng Jiu’er could react, her body went light — she’d been lifted into his arms.

Unlike before, when he’d carried her horizontally, this time Di Wu Ya held her in his arms with one arm.

Feng Jiu’er snapped back to her senses and looked back at the man who’d swept her up.

“Ninth Imperial Uncle, don’t joke around — be careful you don’t drop me.”

She wrapped her arms around his head, and only then did she finally feel at ease.

This man was actually carrying her the way one carries a child — she was practically sitting on one of his arms, her feet dangling and swinging against him.

Di Wu Ya said nothing, simply carried his wife and strode off.

Feng Jiu’er shot him a glare and let go of his neck.

She was a proper commandery princess, and here he was carrying her off like a child — what kind of behavior was this?

Still… this feeling wasn’t half bad, actually!

“Ninth Imperial Uncle.” Feng Jiu’er swung her legs. “Put me down, I still want to play.”

“Ninth Imperial Uncle, put me—” Feng Jiu’er met the man’s meaningfully deep gaze, blinked, and fell quiet.

“Back to our room. I’ll play with you there.”

Di Wu Ya’s breath carried that familiar heat Feng Jiu’er knew so well.

“I don’t want to!”

Feng Jiu’er slapped his shoulder once.

She’d only just managed to finish her task and get away — her hand was still sore.

“Ninth Imperial Uncle, put me down now!”

One of the brothers heard Feng Jiu’er’s words, stood up, and shouted, “Prince, don’t let Miss Jiu’er leave!”

“Prince, enjoy yourselves!”

“Enjoy yourselves!” the brothers all shouted together.

Just as Feng Jiu’er landed her second shove against Di Wu Ya, the brothers’ shouting nearly deafened her.

She looked back over her shoulder, and her cheeks instantly flushed red.

Thankfully the mask hid her face — she was a commandery princess, she couldn’t afford to be too embarrassed.

Feng Jiu’er bent down, tucking herself against Di Wu Ya’s body.

“Ninth Imperial Uncle, can’t you give me some face?”

The woman in the man’s arms, currently examining the diamond ring on her hand, complained lightly.

“I’m an unmarried woman, and you’re carrying me off to your room by force — what reputation will I have left after this?”

The diamond was huge! She had no idea how many carats it was.

This was her first time receiving a diamond ring, and she hadn’t expected it to be quite this big.

Feng Jiu’er didn’t care in the least about her reputation — not that she didn’t care, exactly, more that she simply couldn’t be bothered to.

How many times had she already gone back to their room with Ninth Imperial Uncle?

Perhaps she still wanted to stay and play, or perhaps she didn’t want to let this man get his way so easily — that was why she kept grumbling on and on.

Feng Jiu’er lifted her hand and studied the diamond in earnest.

Under the night sky, the diamond glittered with an unusual light amid the colorful lanterns.

The longer she looked, the more beautiful it seemed!
