The several Half-Saints of the Brahma clan all wore dark expressions. In this star sea, who dared to speak to them like this? This outsider was utterly without restraint—treating them as prey.
“It has been so many years. Perhaps the Immortal Feather Star Sea has been tranquil too long, and many have forgotten the might of the Brahma clan raiders. It has been a long time since we encountered a young man as arrogant as you.”
This was a contest of dragons and tigers. Even as the words were spoken, combat had already begun. They were locked in a life-or-death struggle—suit after suit of ancient saint-level armor gleaming with cold metallic light, leaping and soaring like arcs of lightning intertwining.
Suddenly, a powerful energy shockwave erupted!
A Half-Saint went all out. Standing outside the main melee, he drove a flame-red instrument of war—forged as if from phoenix-blood crimson gold, its entire form vivid red as blood. In his hand he drew a bow and nocked an arrow, training it on Ye Fan.
This was a powerful holy weapon. It absorbed the refined energy of all ten directions, threatening to drain even the cosmic void dry. From the far distance, starlight came pouring in like a white torrent of rushing water.
In his hands, the enormous ancient bow blazed with blinding red light—like a sun—consuming the star river and refined energy clean. Blood-red runes flickered along its surface.
On the bowstring, a mysterious blood arrow took shape—inscribed with numerous divine inscriptions, ancient in spirit, powerful and awe-inspiring.
Whoosh!
The arrow flew. Like a surging river of blood charging through the sky, it was conspicuous even in the dark of the cosmos—spanning hundreds of li, vast and unstoppable, pursuing Ye Fan without pause until it found its mark.
This was a massive holy arrow—power beyond compare. Wherever it passed, the cosmos shattered, primordial light gushed upward, and laws of chaos scattered in every direction.
Splat!
Ye Fan’s golden blood-aura shook. The pale-blue armor shuddered. His arm was shot through—in the end, he had failed to evade this strike.
“Ha, the boy’s armor has taken damage. He is not so invincible after all. Let’s finish him off quickly—take his golden blood—before anything unexpected happens.”
“Ah, this is bad!”
One among them cried out, having noticed something wrong. Ye Fan’s mechanical arm that had been struck through had not exploded. Dao inscriptions circulated. A dimensional space had been opened there, swallowing all the Great Dao symbols left behind by the holy arrow.
Ye Fan had used a secret technique to dissolve it!
And moreover—he was very close to a golden suit of armor. Using the force of that arrow, he merged his body with the arrow’s momentum and launched himself together with it—taking the risk to charge his enemy and attempt a kill.
“Crack!”
The blue demon-blade in Ye Fan’s hand blazed with magnificent light. He pressed the enemy beneath him, flooding down like a raging sea of blade-light, Dao inscriptions unceasing, sealing the sky completely. This was an absolute kill strike—he had made up his mind to eliminate one of the Half-Saints immediately, at the cost of his mechanical arm taking the hit.
“Clang!”
A great golden bell appeared before him—several zhang high, gleaming yellow-gold, carved with sun and moon, mountains and rivers, fish and insects and animals—ancient and imposing. It blocked the demon-blade.
Yet Ye Fan’s assault was ferocious beyond compare—like a surging waterfall, like a raging tempest and a crashing sea. Every seal and technique he possessed was driven outward.
His palm transformed into a black mountain peak, hammering the great bell aside by sheer force. In his other hand, the demon-blade pressed in from every angle. Azure blade-energy submerged that place entirely.
“Ah—!” The golden armor was formidable, ranking among the Five Element Divine Armors—its performance exceeding that of Ye Fan’s armor in every respect—yet even it could not withstand an assault this savage.
“Crack!”
A fracturing sound rang out. The golden-yellow armor cracked throughout. It was on the verge of complete disintegration. Tremendous saint-level might radiated outward. The Half-Saint inside suffered the transmitted force—many bones shattered, blood spilling from his mouth in great quantities, growing increasingly unable to hold on.
“Five Elements United—raise the divine curtain!” Nearby, a middle-aged man roared—his divine will like the crash of thunder—shattering the pitch-black cosmos.
The five mysterious armors in azure, yellow-gold, crimson, black, and white simultaneously blazed with divine radiance, instantly illuminating this entire expanse of the cosmos. Astonishingly, they could coexist—exchanging light and merging together—jointly blocking Ye Fan’s assault, while simultaneously discharging a surging, overwhelming counter-force that struck back at him.
Ye Fan’s expression changed. His heart shook. These five elements divine lights were truly wondrous. He had been a hair’s breadth from finishing one great enemy—only to be denied a perfect killing blow.
Whoosh!
He transformed into a streak of drifting light, falling back dozens upon hundreds of li, standing off against them in the icy heavens.
Strange sounds came from the distance. The nearly shattered golden armor was actually healing—runes flickering. It appeared eerily as if it had never sustained any damage.
Ye Fan was astonished. He had heard rumors that among ancient saint-level armors there existed a supreme king variant—extraordinarily special, possessing self-healing capabilities. The most terrifying kind of all.
The azure, yellow-gold, crimson, black, and white five mysterious armors—their light now merged together, coexisting and sustaining one another, manifesting the Five Elemental Worlds as one—together equal to a king among ancient saint-level armors!
It did not take long. Every crack on the golden armor vanished completely. It appeared as if newly reborn—restored to a flawless whole, fully healed.
“Young man of the Ye name—do you think yourself so powerful? What can an outsider know of this star domain? We have methods to deal with you in abundance,” a middle-aged man said coldly.
“Ha—only by fighting to the very end will the outcome be known. Let us see who kills whom,” Ye Fan replied, cold and indifferent. He had seen the Five Element Divine Armors’ self-healing capabilities and could not afford to take them lightly.
Though the enemies were formidable, the five of them showed no anxiety—composed and unhurried. Their own strength aside, they estimated Fan Xian’s mother vessel would arrive before long. That would seal Ye Fan’s fate with certainty.
“Young man, your appearance has been a pleasant surprise for us all. As an immortal precious medicine, who would not be tempted?”
“Our clan gave you the evolution liquid—let you refine your bloodline—yet you dare to rebel. Now, you are like a fattened prey animal. The time for slaughter has come!”
The voices of the several Half-Saints were pitiless—sinister and cold—seeking to disturb Ye Fan’s state of mind, to then crush and kill him by force, writing the Brahma clan’s might in blood.
“Is that so? The answer will come very soon. Let us see who is the one being slaughtered!” Ye Fan’s expression was ice-cold.
The Five Element Armors were difficult to handle—moving as one in combined attack and defense, capable of self-healing, formidable and swift. He charged toward the sixth armor—the relatively weaker of them—intending to eliminate that person first.
Boom!
He pushed his combat power to its absolute limit and launched an all-out assault. Behind him a golden treasury appeared—all manner of mysterious weapons materializing together.
Golden Treasury!
Ye Fan drove the ancient saint-level armor and unleashed this heaven-defying secret art. For his enemies, it was nothing short of a great calamity.
This was a golden world—golden celestial swords, a golden ancient bell, a Dao cauldron, a nine-tiered celestial pagoda—present in countless numbers, all radiating saint-level might, appearing behind him.
Here, no Brahma clan elites stood watching, no giant mother vessel loomed as a threat, no confinement of the Heavenly Pure Land bound him. Here was open, boundless space. He could be utterly reckless—every trump card deployed, nothing held in reserve!
The golden light was blinding. Driving the ancient saint-level instrument of war and unleashing those heaven-defying ancient emperor divine arts was amplified by saint-level might—far more powerful than anything he had shown before!
“Ah—!”
The sixth armor bore the brunt. Under the assault of waves of golden weapons, cracks appeared across its surface. It nearly disintegrated on the spot.
The pilot dodged rapidly, and the other five armors rushed to support—but they were still a beat too slow.
Ye Fan struck with overwhelming force, reserving nothing. Having left the Heavenly Pure Land behind, freed from any massive threat, he could fight without restraint.
“Clang!”
The golden ancient bell tolled. It slammed into the sixth armor’s shoulder and shattered it.
“Clang!”
The golden celestial sword descended, cleaving one arm entirely from the sixth ancient saint-level armor.
“Boom!”
The nine-tiered celestial pagoda came crashing down. Primordial chaos energy surged. It struck the armor’s chest—causing the metal form to completely cave in, then begin to disintegrate.
The assault was too overwhelming. Ye Fan attacked without pause—hundreds upon thousands of strikes—every golden divine weapon moving in unison, transforming into a radiance of eternity.
How could the sixth armor withstand this? Under the relentless assault of countless weapons, it let out a piercing sound of fracturing metal. Even an ancient saint-level instrument of war could not endure.
A thunderous eruption rang out. That spot blazed like a brilliant firework bursting open—or a massive volcano erupting in the cosmos—enough to cause every heart to lurch.
The armor was completely destroyed, erupting into a ball of flame. The Half-Saint within cried out in terror and found not a single thread of escape.
“Splat!”
A beam of golden celestial sword-light swept past, reducing that person to a paste of blood. Blood scattered in every direction. Divine consciousness dissolved into smoke.
The remaining five changed expression. Ye Fan’s combat power had surpassed their estimates—far greater than what he had displayed within the Heavenly Pure Land. A thread of unease began to stir.
“Five Elements United!”
They converged together. Five-colored divine light flowed—hazy and mysterious—manifesting the Five Elemental Worlds, jointly opposing Ye Fan.
“You said you had fattened me up for slaughter. Yet I believe the situation may be reversed,” Ye Fan stepped forward. Behind him, the Golden Treasury blazed with radiant splendor.
“Young man of the Ye name—let us see how long your arrogance lasts. In the end, you are nothing more than a single immortal precious medicine cultivated by our clan,” one of the middle-aged men said. He was calculating that Fan Xian’s mother vessel must be arriving very soon now.
