Chapter 1202: The Celestial Domain

Mist and haze drifted slowly. Deathly stillness was the eternal theme โ€” not a single sound. This was the beyond-domain: a celestial domain that rose high above the earth.

In truth, even the lingering haze here was not mist at all, but true primordial chaos. This place was utterly barren, preserving the most primitive and original qi.

For cultivators, primordial chaos was a precious source of energy. If one could refine and absorb it, it could transform the ferocious energy of a sacred artifact and evolve the secrets of the heavenly Dao. However, few were capable of making use of it โ€” only upon reaching the Saint realm could one draw upon and refine it through the body.

Looking down from the beyond-domain, a single enormous star appeared vast and magnificent, beautiful beyond description โ€” yet even it was only one grain of sand among countless stars across the heavens, a single drop in an ocean.

“Hidden here, completely removed from the ancient star โ€” if not for finding that set of coordinates, who could have discovered it?”

“The ancient Divine Dynasties had prepared their escape route long ago. Sensing that their situation had turned unfavorable, they abandoned their ancestral lairs of old. Quite decisive.”

This was already the beyond-domain, a considerable distance from the life-bearing ancient star. If not for the Black Emperor’s formation platforms being sufficiently powerful and mysterious, ordinary people would have had no way to cross to this place.

The path to immortality was about to open. Not long ago, two terrifyingly powerful assassin ancestor figures had forcibly broken into the false immortal gate. Afterward, this had made the two Divine Dynasties sense a coming crisis, and they had prepared for a full-scale withdrawal.

“They’ve been found at last. Not a single one can be allowed to escape!” Old Knife Handle roared. Standing beside Qi Luo, he intended to avenge his seven lost aunts and uncles.

The Holy Slayer had already returned to calm. His expression was indifferent โ€” neither joy nor grief. At this moment only one thought occupied him: destroy Hell and the Human World. Let the blood and souls of his seven children find peace.

The celestial domain was a desolate wasteland of primordial chaos โ€” a small pocket of space that existed in and of itself, forming its own small cosmos. Once excavated, it could be transformed into a land of abundance.

The great tomb of the Fierce Man, and the false immortal gate that had appeared not long ago โ€” these had been discovered as true primordial chaos divine soil, teeming with life within, rich with ancient medicinal herbs and divine rarities, a complete small world.

This celestial domain, on the other hand, had formed when that kind of primordial chaos divine soil dried up. Nine-tenths of its spiritual energy was gone, but it was still a rare and precious place.

“This is an ancient deity’s abandoned closed-cultivation site. Though it has fallen into desolation, it is still a great blessing. That it was discovered and excavated by the two Divine Dynasties is truly a stroke of fortune.”

At the celestial domain’s entrance lay a stretch of emptiness, fused with the dark universe. If not for Ye Fan and the Black Emperor stepping forward together to unravel the seal, even those standing right before it would have had difficulty detecting it.

The primordial chaos qi grew denser, flowing outward. Within lay a quiet dimness โ€” like the gaping maw of an ancient primordial great beast that devoured all who entered, inspiring dread in any who gazed upon it.

People looked at one another. None from the various Holy Lands were willing to take the first step. Within there were two Holy Slayers โ€” if they struck, they could erase an undying lineage entire.

Qi Luo’s expression was tranquil. He was the first to walk in. Ye Fan, Ji Zi, and the Holy Prince followed immediately after. Then came Dongfang Ye and Li Tian, clad in ancient Saint battle armor.

“What is there to fear? This Emperor has long since had enough of waiting โ€” time to deal with every last one of them!” The great black dog bellowed fiercely, striding in with overwhelming swagger. Long Ma followed.

Upon seeing this, the various Holy Lands moved together. The battle had reached this point โ€” it could not be avoided. No matter how terrifying two Holy Slayers might be, they had to be eliminated. Otherwise, there would never be a day of peace.

Crash!

Passing through a dark space and advancing a hundred zhang forward, a tremendous thunderous roar came from ahead. A waterfall plunged downward, blocking the entrance of an ancient cave.

“This is… a primordial chaos waterfall!”

Everyone was startled, eyes wide open. This cave was the only path through the celestial domain, and this spectacular sight barred the way.

An ordinary person would inevitably be stopped outside, completely unable to pass through. This primordial chaos cascade fell with such force that even a Dao-Severing cultivator would be crushed and unable to bear it.

“Rise!”

Ye Fan gave a quiet shout, bringing out the Myriad Objects Mother Qi Cauldron. It manifested as a plain and unadorned vessel embodying the great Dao, rising and sinking within the primordial chaos waterfall, slicing through it!

Those watching were both astonished and envious โ€” consumed with jealousy. A sacred artifact material born at the very beginning of heaven and earth, something the world had rarely ever seen across ten thousand ages, had fallen into his hands. Eyes throughout the Holy Lands burned with desire, yet none could obtain it.

The group filed in one by one. All of them passed through the ancient cave, finally entering the land of abundance ahead. Immediately they felt a vastness โ€” ancient and magnificent โ€” and boundless spiritual energy rushed toward their faces.

Even as dried-up primordial chaos divine soil, with less than one-tenth of its original spiritual energy remaining, it still exceeded the outer world and stood as a blessed land for cultivation.

Majestic spirit mountains, lush and green divine valleys, streams flowing like jade ribbons, divine springs tinkling with crystalline sound, ancient medicinal herbs growing from the cracks in the rocks โ€” the sight of it made every heart tremble.

To live in seclusion here would be utterly ideal. Had the two Divine Dynasties lain dormant here for a few thousand years, when they re-emerged in later ages their power would surely have grown enormously, posing a threat to the whole world.

In an open valley, several enormous skeletons lay scattered about, suffused with a pale golden glow. They were primordial ancient variants of extraordinary species, dead for untold ages yet preserved until now.

Many people swallowed hard. These were the original living creatures of the primordial chaos divine soil โ€” without question, all had reached the Saint level. Their bloodlines had dried up and they had died of old age here, yet remarkably they had not dissolved into the Dao.

These were the most ideal materials for refining artifacts, enough to make anyone’s eyes burn red!

“Everyone, never mind these things for now โ€” eliminating the two great leaders comes first!” Old Knife Handle said.

Passing through this area, a true mountain gate loomed ahead. Invisible killing intent permeated the air. Reaching this place meant drawing close to the most terrifying stronghold of all.

“No one is to act rashly โ€” there may be a killing calamity!” the Black Emperor warned.

Yet the words had barely left its mouth when a tremendous sword energy swept through. Dozens of people were sliced in half at the waist, letting out piercing screams. These bisected bodies tumbled about, trailing great sheets of blood.

“What happened?!” A senior elder from the Yao Guang Holy Land’s face immediately drained of all color.

“The ancient medicinal herbs…” one disciple cried out in a wail of despair.

Someone had gone to pick a precious medicinal herb of thirty thousand years’ growth from the cliffside, triggering the restrictive formations and bringing disaster down upon an entire group. In this place, every step was a potential killing trap.

“Attack โ€” the two Divine Dynasties have certainly already detected our entry!”

The cosmic mothership rose into the sky, sending out a blazing torrent of light. Grand Dao runes and markings branded the space ahead, leveling the mountain gate to flat ground!

Boom!

A terrifying surge of aura erupted. A vast and towering black shadow materialized, emanating an energy that sent even ancient Saints’ hearts lurching with dread, slashing forward.

It was a group of enormous swords โ€” or more precisely, sword-shaped mountain peaks!

Each peak pierced into the clouds above. Hundreds and thousands of them stood side by side, immense and grand, each one like a sharpened blade, perfectly vertical.

Ten million streams of sword energy shot out. The peaks fired beams of divine light, sweeping out in wave after wave. It was a killing calamity โ€” a Saint-level killing formation.

Even the cosmic mothership was sent flying. Had its energy shield not been activated in time, it might have disintegrated. The offensive power was extreme beyond measure.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh…

Sword energy spread like thorns, sweeping across in an instant. In that single moment, hundreds among the various Holy Lands had their heads severed, bodies torn apart, flesh ground into bloody paste. Blossoms of blood bloomed everywhere.

This was a Saint-level attack. Naturally, ordinary people could not withstand it.

Boom!

Sacred might surged upward. The Holy Lands had brought with them sacred weapons passed down through generations, and these were deployed at once, finally blocking the assault and shielding the others.

“Elder, what happened to you โ€” wake up, please wake up!” a young man cried, shaking an elderly figure’s body.

“Junior Sister, don’t sleep โ€” open your eyes!” a young man embraced a female cultivator.

All manner of clamor and cries of grief rang out. The two assassin Divine Dynasties were utterly terrifying โ€” they had not deployed a single disciple below the Saint level. Every attack from the very start was an absolute killing strike.

“Break!”

The Holy Slayer Qi Luo let out a great roar, driving the Great Sage-level sacred artifact โ€” the Divine Maiden Furnace โ€” his eyes becoming hollow voids as he unleashed the Heavenly Court’s killing great art.

Boom!

One by one, hundreds upon thousands of sword-peak mountains exploded. Ripples of ancient Saint-level power swept out violently, as though an expanse of the starry sky had shattered and scattered outward.

The Saint-level sword mountains were shattered, dissolving into turbulent streams that swept flat across the entire area, turning it into a barren wasteland.

“Insignificant maggots, how dare you gnaw at a dragon โ€” you have found the celestial domain, yet none of you shall leave alive!” A terrifying voice rang out. The entire spatial expanse trembled.

Qi Luo led the charge forward, unafraid of such threats. The blade radiance from the Blood-Converting Blade in his hand stretched tens of thousands of zhang across, sweeping through countless restrictions, turning the forbidden zone into an open road.

A blazing killing light flew upward. Ye Fan, Ji Zi, and the Holy Prince combined their efforts to fight against it, scattering into the void those terrifying ripples capable of slaying Saints.

Ahead stood an expanse of jade platforms โ€” each one crystal-clear and radiant, overflowing with endless killing intent, suspended in midair, emanating a wave of energy that inspired utter despair.

Though the three figures at the emperor’s heir level had shattered the killing light, a large portion of that energy still spilled outward. From behind, a chorus of agonized screams rang out. Over three hundred of the Holy Lands’ people died in an instant โ€” all of them with bodies that burst apart from the pressure, unable to endure the energy and killing intent of an ancient Saint King.

Ahead was a Saint King-level killing formation!

“Do they truly treat the Holy Lands like insects and worms?! Break it for me!” Jiang Yifei rode his Golden Roar forward. Above his head appeared a divine furnace with nine divine birds spiraling around it and a blazing sun hanging overhead โ€” a power without limit โ€” countering the Saint King killing formation.

Boom!

He raised one hand and pointed. The divine furnace soared upward, rushing into the killing formation and exploding on the spot.

Boundless waves of light and mist erupted. The violent energy very nearly shattered this entire stretch of primordial chaos divine soil, and the killing formation was obliterated entirely, reduced to bare earth.

Everyone drew a sharp breath. This was a forbidden weapon โ€” more powerful than an ordinary sacred artifact!

“It is a forbidden weapon forged in imitation of the Eternal Universe Emperor’s Furnace. Crafting it required many rare and precious materials from heaven and earth. It requires no infusion of magical power, operating on its own โ€” but it has only a single use.”

An elder spoke in a low voice, inferring the truth of the matter.

The depth of the Jiang Family’s reserves was startling. They excelled at refining forbidden weapons, and had forged this terrifying weapon as an imitation of their own emperor’s furnace, capable of releasing a strand of emperor-level might that could instantly level a Saint King killing formation โ€” something genuinely chilling to contemplate.

Evidently, this strike by Jiang Yifei had thoroughly shaken both Divine Dynasties. For a brief instant, absolute silence fell, without a single sound.

Had a forbidden weapon of this caliber struck a Holy Slayer directly, it might well have been enough to kill even one of them.

But in the end, this was an object โ€” not a living person. A Holy Slayer could dodge it. On reflection, it was still difficult for it to truly threaten them.

Suddenly, a haunting melody drifted through the air. The Soul-Subduing Melody of Hell rang out โ€” it was a Holy Slayer’s attack. The sound waves were more terrifying than sword energy, omnipresent, penetrating the void and slaying all who heard them. The various Holy Lands had brought their sacred artifacts, and yet they could not defend against it. The Soul-Subduing Melody of Hell killed in all ten directions at once. In that single instant, the sound of splattering rang out ceaselessly. Over four hundred people died on the spot, every one of them dissolved into a pulp of blood โ€” a sight too horrifying to bear.

The elder Sacred Master of the Great Yan Holy Land went mad with rage. Most of those who died were his elites. He had originally prepared a Saint-level killing formation, but before he could deploy it, all those who were meant to hold the formation banners had died.

“Kill for me!”

With a great roar from him, a stone figure โ€” crystalline and translucent from head to toe, like a diamond made of ice โ€” launched itself upward, charging into the space ahead, letting out a ferocious bellow!

This was a Saint-level puppet, one of the Great Yan Holy Land’s hidden reserves, brought here for this very battle. It unleashed a frenzied attack.

At the same moment, Ye Fan let out a long cry. Golden blood energy surged from the crown of his head like a sharp sword piercing the heavens. He released the thunderous sound of the Om character, dissolving Hell’s killing melody and blocking this calamitous slaughter. No one behind him fell any longer.

“All of you โ€” die!”

The Black Emperor roared. It had been charging at the front breaking through formations just now, and when the killing melody struck, it had been at the very forefront of it. Its eardrums had nearly been torn apart, blood seeping out in thin trickles. Now it erupted in fury, activating formation platforms in rapid succession, sweeping the space ahead.

In the blinding killing light, the Black Emperor’s formation platforms crushed everything in their path, annihilating Hell’s Soul-Subduing Platform and dismantling that accursed ground.

The crowd went wild and charged forward together. Having fought their way to this point, people felt that the ancient sacred halls of the Divine Dynasties could not be far away.

“Ah…”

“Kill…!”

Battle cries shook the heavens, and anguished screams rang out one after another.

Having killed their way to this stage, at last they encountered the veteran assassins of the two Divine Dynasties. One by one, obstacles were overcome. Assassins fell where they stood, cut down on the spot, blood flowing freely.

“All of you will die!” An aged voice carried through the air โ€” frigid and laced with killing intent. “Activate the divine formation array, and refine every last one of them for me!”

“Activate nothing โ€” I’ll sweep every one of you out of existence!” The Black Emperor opened its third vertical eye and deployed formation platforms in dense, rapid succession.
