The Sun Star was vast, its temperature terrifyingly high—even having attained sagehood, one couldn’t easily approach it. Ye Fan, as the Human Race’s Sacred Body, felt waves of heat assault him even here.
Flames danced and leaped, the interior of the Sun Star scorching and terrifying—this was a natural forbidden zone of life, rarely visited since ancient times.
Only those who cultivated fire-element techniques would ever come here. Solar essence rolled and surged, covering everything—this was a most primal source of power.
Ye Fan opened his Heavenly Eye, searching across the vast Sun Star. What he could rely on was his past confrontation with the two Golden Crows, having become familiar with their aura. This was a forbidden zone of life—as long as even the slightest fluctuation leaked out, it could be found.
“An ancient, dilapidated palace hall…”
He showed a look of shock, his heart truly jolting. Deep within the Sun Star, he saw a palace—though already half-collapsed, it still exuded a sense of grandeur.
This was truly a strange occurrence. On this scorching star, one who had severed the Dao would turn to ash if they entered—even sages had to proceed with extreme caution.
Yet here stood a palace hall, built of stone. How solid must it be to have survived, without melting?
Ye Fan approached, carefully observing this ancient temple assembled from stone, seeing within it patterns characteristic of the mythical era.
This was a primal form of worship—in that era, the ancient people revered the sun; giant stones were carved with divine suns, and divine birds were also painted, lifelike and vivid.
“It’s not that the stone itself is miraculous—rather, the talismans upon it are extraordinary, preserving the stone hall’s indestructibility, protecting it from being destroyed by the scorching flames.”
Ye Fan murmured to himself. This palace hall had fallen into ruin, its roof blown away, the internal stone pillars broken—only a framework remained.
His footsteps echoed on the bluestone floor, a sense of ancient vicissitude seeming to drift over from that Primordial Era, immersing him in a peculiar atmosphere.
“This is a prehistoric relic, truly ancient beyond measure. In the Primordial Era, hundreds of millions of years ago, what kind of story unfolded here?” Ye Fan sighed with emotion.
The mottled stone hall, the dim giant stones, the dao patterns still present, the traces unfading—he savored this place for a moment, his heart filled with astonishment.
The ancient hall’s survival, the carved patterns not merely a formation array, but also a sacred technique for warding off fire—not to be underestimated, worthy of being called a unique secret art.
“Able to enter the sun’s essence-fire without being destroyed, preserved for hundreds of millions of years—this… is a divine technique!”
Ye Fan’s initial astonishment turned into shock. Calming his mind, he began to study it carefully—this might be a supreme, wondrous technique.
Moving in and out of sun and moon, walking between the Nine Serenities—this was the basic ability of the great supernatural beings of ancient times, a necessary manifestation of divine power for the strongest.
This was, at the very least, something left behind by a Great Sage, wasn’t it?
Ye Fan studied it with his heart, discovering a familiar aura—very similar to Ye Tong, that kind of bloodline inheritance power.
“This is…” His heart trembled inwardly. Could this be the Solar Sage Emperor’s traveling palace? If so, it would be enough to shock the world!
Ye Fan branded all the carved marks into the sea of his heart, studying them earnestly, gaining an ancient, unadorned Dao technique—able to enter the divine sun without being harmed by heavenly fire in the slightest.
But this was only a basic technique, a starting stage—there should be subsequent methods to follow. This left him astonished. Could there be a great inheritance left behind deep within the Sun Star?
Ye Fan searched throughout the palace hall, obtaining this ancient, unadorned technique in full. In the process, he also discovered traces of the two Golden Crows’ presence—they had been here.
He transformed into a beam of fire and chased after them. The two ancient Golden Crows, seeking to obtain the subsequent ancient methods, were likely up ahead.
Just as Ye Fan expected, there were other stone halls on this Sun Star, still in ruins. This should have originally been one grand, magnificent palace, but it had scattered, falling across various locations.
He discovered a second ancient temple, pausing for a moment, memorizing the dao patterns and the Fire-Warding Divine Technique in his heart, pondering and studying it while continuing the chase.
“There are actually this many palace halls…”
By the end, Ye Fan was astonished—he had discovered over a dozen halls in total, and the fire-element dao techniques he found grew increasingly complex and profound, their power becoming manifest.
Able to command the power of the entire Sun Star, wielding it for one’s own use—if someone cultivating the Solar Sacred Classic were here, they would simply be invincible.
“I see—this is the embryonic form of the Solar Ancient Classic, the initial stage that the Human Race’s Sage Emperor once studied, recorded one piece at a time.”
Ye Fan understood, no longer forcing himself to comprehend it fully, instead walking this path steadily, savoring it slowly, understanding the train of thought the Human Race’s Sage Emperor had when creating this Dao.
Some ancient temples were completely destroyed, only foundations remaining; others had only a few giant stones left, the subsequent dao methods long lost.
There was no complete, flawless method, yet Ye Fan grasped that particular state of the Dao—an essence of fire-mastery, ascending to the supreme method of commanding the universe’s origin.
Different people, different Daos—every one who attained the Dao had their own unique path. This was his deepest realization after this experience.
Along this path, he circulated the Fire-Warding Technique, then began to activate several ancient classics simultaneously, transforming his own method, melding them into one furnace.
He started from the Golden Circle, his true form transforming into a dragon-shaped curve, then progressing to where his Dao-Self and Departed-Self emerged together, becoming Yin Pole and Yang Pole, bringing his divine form toward perfection.
By the end, he no longer pursued the Sage Emperor’s dao technique. As he passed through those stone halls, he merely comprehended his own method along this path, his whole body radiant with brilliant light.
Within his body, several ancient classics operated simultaneously, producing a vast heavenly resonance, making him appear sacred and solemn, like an immortal king descending to earth.
His flesh flowed with precious brilliance, every inch of his flesh and blood filled with tremendous power, Ye Fan’s body dissolving and reforming, constantly transforming. The sound of golden blood flowing within his body rumbled like thunder, resounding loudly—anyone standing here would likely be stunned unconscious.
It was hard to imagine such power existed—no wonder his physical body had become so incredibly powerful, able to beat a sage’s physique to pieces.
Ye Fan walked slowly, both feet wading through fire essence, like a true dragon leaping through the heavens, nearly illusory.
His transformations were peculiar—one moment transforming into that golden curve, the next into his true form, with his Departed-Self and Dao-Self evolving into Yin and Yang poles on either side, advancing in tandem.
This was the vessel of the Great Dao!
At this moment, before his forehead bone, a small golden figure also stepped forward, absorbing solar fire essence, drawing in energy from all ten directions, refining his radiant body.
Beyond physical form, his primordial spirit sought to break free from its constraints, transforming into the “One that escapes,” breaking through the universe’s shackles, transcending beyond!
At this moment, Ye Fan no longer attempted to restore the Human Race’s Sage Emperor’s fire technique and Dao—he continuously comprehended himself, gaining an immense harvest.
Within his body, the five great secret realms resonated together, as if immortal sounds emanated forth, his mortal body undergoing transformation, gaining wisps of sacred might, his divine sense growing ever more refined, golden light dazzling, free of the slightest impurity.
At this moment, Ye Fan was transcendent, temporarily forgetting everything else, his body advancing step by step, the golden figure sitting cross-legged before his brow, the two becoming one, like a deity.
His true form constantly shifted amid the golden diagram—this was the vessel of the Great Dao, and that golden figure was the Dao itself!
He drew upon the boundless fire essence within the Sun Star to cleanse himself, becoming ever more clear and bright throughout, growing increasingly powerful and wondrous, the aura of a sage and the radiance of immortality covering his form.
Originally coming here to hunt down the two ancient Golden Crows, he never expected such an encounter, which had tempered Ye Fan’s body and mind—this was an accumulation and consolidation at the level of his realm.
Relying on the evolution fluid, his cultivation had advanced by leaps and bounds over these two years, striding forward rapidly, his strength growing perhaps too quickly. Now, with this encounter, it was as if he had experienced hundreds of millions of years of time, manifesting his divine form, comprehending the Dao and reflecting upon himself.
He solidified his Dao fruit, consolidated the foundation of his Dao. Looking back now, the path he had walked was clear to see, every step firm and sound.
“I must use the evolution fluid cautiously from now on…” Ye Fan murmured to himself.
This path wasn’t long, but it had deeply moved him. Looking at the footsteps of the ancient Great Emperor, he too had left behind some brilliant footprints of his own.
After a long while, he calmed down. Just ahead, a magnificent grand palace appeared, still fairly intact.
Through endless ages, it had stood unwavering, ancient traces everywhere, bathed in solar fire essence, exuding an aura of eternal vicissitude.
The Solar Ancient Temple!
Ye Fan saw these characters, written in the divine script—a language common to all clans, existing since before the Primordial Era, said to have been created by the divine ones.
“This is a temple abandoned by the Solar Sage Emperor—he came to the Big Dipper Star Domain even back then…” Ye Fan murmured to himself.
The Solar Sage Emperor’s power was boundless, his divine abilities vast—legend says he left footprints in many star domains, and the Big Dipper had its own tales of him too.
The grand palace had no formations meant to kill intruders, but it exuded a majestic aura, an awe-inspiring dignity that left one breathless.
This place had no talismans specifically placed by the Great Emperor, but bore some mythical traces carved by later generations, completely preserved, magnificent beyond measure.
Those patterns contained even more profound fire-mastery techniques and formations. The two ancient Golden Crows were within the palace hall, seeming quite excited.
“This is one of the Solar Sage Emperor’s traveling palaces—carefully record these patterns; perhaps we can find clues to the Undying Fusang Divine Tree, the thing our clan’s Great Emperor wants most.”
This place was already close to the sun’s center, fire essence raging wildly, uncontrollably violent—yet the majestic stone hall had floated through, never destroyed since ancient times.
Ordinary sages couldn’t reach this far, as they would be burned to ash. The two Golden Crows, born from fire, were innately fearless of fire essence, and thus unharmed.
“Eh, there’s a teleportation array here, forming a mysterious domain gate—where does this lead?” one Golden Crow said in surprise, discovering a stretch of golden patterns within the magnificent palace hall.
They quickly activated this array platform, and a golden gate opened wide, like an immortal gate, dazzling and brilliant, radiating thousands of strands of auspicious light.
“That’s… leading to the interior of the Sun Star. What, there’s a person there… he’s in deep slumber!”
The two ancient Golden Crows’ faces changed color in an instant—never in any way had they imagined that at the end of this ancient teleportation array, there would be such a mysterious, unfathomable being.
“Could this be… a deity from the mythical era?” They felt their lips trembling, their entire bodies shaking, for they sensed a supreme aura, wafting toward them in wisps.
Deepest within the Sun Star, someone lay in hiding, in deep slumber!
This exceeded their imagination. Though the surroundings blazed with fire, they felt an icy chill throughout their bodies.
They slowly withdrew their power, afraid of waking that being, letting the domain gate disappear, remaining silent for a long while.
“This is a prehistoric relic—what kind of person is that? We must return to Fusang Star and report to the Great Emperor. There might be a great secret here.”
“Hmm, I’ve heard that Human Race’s Sacred Body brat is searching for us. If we go out, we should be careful, since our clan’s reinforcements have been wiped out.”
“What Sacred Body? Once our clan’s Supreme Highness arrives, a single golden divine feather dropped could kill him dozens of times over!”
“The taste of sacred blood—I’ve been looking forward to it. Once our clan truly descends upon this ancient star, there’ll still be time to take his head.”
The two ancient Golden Crows spoke bitterly, unaware that Ye Fan had already arrived outside the hall.
