The Primordial races had no concept of coffins whatsoever — so how had a massive scarlet coffin come to rest in this place?

Judging by its position, it occupied the very center of the Ten-Thousand Dragon Lair — where the dragon qi was most concentrated. Ten thousand currents of dragon energy coiled around it, brilliant and dazzling, buried beneath blocks of divine source.

The exhaustive mystery of all heaven and earth’s transformations, brought to their ultimate extreme.

That was how Ye Fan felt. This place was too extraordinary — beyond description and beyond comprehension. The ancient coffin was utterly impenetrable.

Every single person had the illusion that their body and soul would be obliterated together. Their bones and flesh crackled and groaned — all because of that ancient coffin’s presence.

“Howl…”

A Primordial being charged in for the kill. The nine-layered True Demon Domain was unbreakable. Two half-step Great Capabilities were frozen in place within it, as gleaming claws reached out toward them.

“Whoosh!”

This terrifying ancient creature tore the skull cap from one half-step Great Capability, then drank his brain matter as one might drink soft tofu — sucking it clean in a single gulp.

“Splat!”

Blood gushed and sprayed. This Primordial being tore the other half-step Great Capability in half, then grabbed one blood-dripping arm and stuffed it into its mouth.

“Crunch!”

The sound of teeth grinding against flesh, bone, and blood filled the air. To hear it was to feel goosebumps rising all over one’s body. Blood flowed from the corners of its mouth as flesh and bone were chewed to pieces.

“This is absolute savagery!” Even the Great Black Dog was unsettled. The thick, long black fur covering its entire body stood fully on end, making it look like a particularly unusual giant hedgehog.

“Boom!”

The patriarch of the Ji Clan descended from the sky like a divine being — transcendent and aloof — his long robes snapping in the wind. His black hair streamed freely, and his eyes were sharp as blades. Above his head floated an ancient mirror, its radiance ten thousand zhang in all directions. It released a brilliant divine rainbow and sent it crashing toward this terrifying creature.

“Howl…”

The Primordial being flung aside the blood-soaked arm it held in its hand and let out a roar. Two beams of violet light shot from its eyes directly at the ancient mirror — blazing and dreadful.

“Splat!”

Blood exploded outward. The divine light emanating from the ancient mirror pierced through this Primordial being, leaving it shattered into pieces. Its enormous body poured out a flood of blood and collapsed to the ground.

The Ji Clan patriarch stood suspended in the void. The ancient mirror drifted above his head. His divine might was awe-inspiring, his black hair a wild and tangled storm, his gaze crackling with arcs of lightning — a presence that struck terror into the heart.

Ye Fan was inwardly shaken. The supreme-level patriarchs were indeed unfathomably deep — standing a full cut above all others.

He had just witnessed firsthand the ferocity of that ancient creature, which had torn and devoured two half-step Great Capabilities — yet it had been slain in a single strike by the Ji Clan patriarch.

A great roar, and another ancient creature charged in. Its lower body was a serpentine form, covered all over in violet scales. Its upper half was humanoid, with three heads and six arms. Those six arms swept outward, shattering the void and punching a black hole through it — a hole that rushed to swallow the Ji Clan patriarch.

“Boom!”

One great foot plunged into the black hole and shattered it, dissolving it into nothingness. The Ji Clan patriarch’s black hair swept wildly. His great hand reached out and struck this ancient creature into countless pieces, blood spraying in all directions.

“This is what it means to be a supreme patriarch. Annihilating an ordinary Great Capability costs not the slightest effort. Even though they stand at the same secret realm, the gap between them is as vast as heaven and earth!” The Great Black Dog gave a cold shiver.

“Dead dog — quickly bring out the chessboard array pattern! We are leaving this place!” Ye Fan did not want to remain even a moment longer. This place was like the gates of hell — demons pouring through without end.

Each of these ancient creatures was terrifyingly powerful. Even half-step Great Capabilities were dared to be eaten. Fresh blood dyed the ground red.

“Just wait a little longer. There may be a great harvest to be had!” The Great Black Dog’s incorrigible greed flared up again. It stared at the massive chunks of divine source within the Ten-Thousand Dragon Lair, almost drooling.

Nearby, some of the Supreme Elders were attempting to break out — only to be butchered by over a dozen Primordial beings. Blood and gore splattered everywhere. Bleached white bones came flying through the air.

Many people were scattered and destroyed on the spot — nothing left but fragments of bone and splatters of brain matter falling in all directions. This was a pure and absolute slaughterhouse — extreme in its carnage and terror.

“Boom!”

Divine fire blazed, pouring downward to engulf the path ahead. The patriarch of the Jiang Clan made his move. Above his head hung a divine furnace, its lid thrown open — firelight falling like a river of stars.

Several powerful ancient beings let out wretched cries. Two of them were incinerated to ash. Three more were struck by the divine radiance, their bodies cracking apart and shattering. They fell dead in the passage.

“Quickly — open the spatial gate!” someone roared. The situation was too dire. They had to leave immediately. Otherwise, everyone might be wiped out here.

Someone had long since produced their jade spatial-gate platform — but found no chance to activate the array pattern, for an incomparably powerful being had destroyed all such chances.

This being appeared like a god — majestic and mighty, shrouded in a divine halo. Violet hair cascaded down, concealing half his face. Only a pair of violet eyes could be seen, sharp as blades.

He had no arms — only a pair of golden divine wings, as though cast from divine gold. His lower body was a serpentine form, over ten meters in length, golden scales shimmering. He soared through the air, faster than lightning.

“Roar!”

With a single roar from this Primordial being, every jade spatial-gate platform crumbled into powder, annihilated by an invisible killing force.

The aura he emitted outward was terrifyingly powerful. Several Supreme Elders of the Wind Clan combined their strength to resist him — and were all pressed down so heavily they could barely move.

“Boom!”

He shot to the point of engagement in an instant. The wind of his passing was all-consuming. Those several Supreme Elders shattered and collapsed on the spot, reduced to a pulp of blood, perishing where they stood.

“Hmph!”

The patriarch of the Wind Clan made his move. Cold eyes gleamed, his black hair disheveled, his tall and imposing frame radiating boundless killing intent. Above his head hung a diagram of the eight trigrams, which he pressed downward like a mountain.

“Boom!”

A terrifying clash. He and this Primordial being — comparable to a god — fought a life-and-death battle of supreme ferocity. Many of the dragon caves nearby collapsed.

Close by, some human Supreme Elders and a few Primordial ancient creatures were obliterated entirely. To be caught in the crossfire was certain death — swallowed by the black holes they generated.

Everyone was fighting to break out — but on the path back, three powerful ancient beings stood in a line, blocking the way. All three were blazing with divine light from every inch of their bodies.

The patriarch of Yao Guang, the ancient imperial uncle of the Hua Dynasty, and the War King of the Southern Ridge — all three blazed with dragon-shaped crimson blood energy, their vital essence surging like tides. They fought a life-and-death battle against those ancient creatures.

A black ancient cauldron, a golden great halberd, a green ancient pagoda — each released a surging tide of divine power, shattering the void — yet they could not make the Ten-Thousand Dragon Lair itself collapse, and could not carve open a path of escape.

The three Primordial beings, like divine entities, let fall ten thousand streaming ribbons of light. Threads upon threads of primordial chaos qi swept down, instantly shattering several half-step Great Capabilities who attempted to come to their aid!

“Roar…”

Another great roar — and an even more powerful Primordial being charged out. Covered all over in violet scales, it appeared like a bolt of violet lightning, arriving in an instant.

“Splat!”

In a single sweep, it snatched seven Supreme Elders of the Zifu, Wanchu, and Jiang Clans and crushed them to pieces. Chunks of flesh and slivers of bone burst outward, blood streaming and dripping.

“Boom!”

At the same time, every jade spatial-gate platform was shattered once more. This section of the void had been sealed. It charged toward the most intense part of the battle to reinforce those three Primordial beings who stood like gods.

“Splat!”

A black hole appeared above its brow, shearing away a large chunk of flesh from the body of the Yao Guang patriarch — nearly severing his right arm entirely.

This was a supremely dominant Primordial being who had already assumed a form nearly human. Purple scales covered every inch of its body, glittering with a blinding sheen. Eighty-one thick coils of dragon qi wreathed around it.

“Dead dog — what is keeping you?! Move!” Ye Fan pressed urgently.

The battle had become horrific. The ground was littered with fragments of flesh and blood-stained bone splinters. Many powerful figures had fallen.

“Monkey, you and these ones are both Primordial beings — slip in quietly and carry out some immortal treasures,” the Great Black Dog urged.

“What the…” Ye Fan could not hold back. He nearly cursed aloud. This damned dog was too absurd — at a time like this, it was still thinking about the treasures of the Ten-Thousand Dragon Lair. How deeply greedy would one have to be?

The Battle Saint Ape also wanted to smash the dog flat, right then and there. Corpses littered the ground, powerful figures kept falling — and this dog was still hatching schemes like this. Just how greedy did one have to be?

“Stop coming up with ridiculous ideas — get me out of here right now!” Ye Fan could no longer hold back. His teeth ground together. He nearly wanted to devour the dog alive.

“The ancient creatures that can emerge have all emerged. Only the King remains in slumber — it will not wake for some time!” The Great Black Dog nearly started drooling.

“Aaah…”

A Great Capability fell — the junior fellow disciple of the Yao Guang patriarch, a supreme figure of a generation. He was sliced in half by a newly emerged golden creature.

“Crack!”

His skull was smashed to paste. His divine sense had not even had time to escape before it was reduced to ash. Everyone was shaken. A supreme Great Capability — a figure of the highest tier — had fallen!

This golden Primordial being, its golden hair falling to its knees, swung its head with great force. Like golden divine fire igniting the sky, it swept through the void and sent seven or eight people shattering apart.

“Splat!”

It moved with the speed of lightning, tearing the sect master of the Free and Unfettered Gate — an overlord in his own right — apart alive. From the ruined chest it pulled a still-beating heart, powerful and terrifying.

“Shk!”

The Ji Clan patriarch encountered it. The ancient mirror above his head released a brilliant rainbow of light, destroying space and driving through directly.

“Boom!”

This terrifying creature raised a hand to block it. Its entire body was like cast gold — radiant and blazing. With its bare hand it shattered the rainbow beam. It had blocked the full force of the Ji Clan patriarch’s ancient mirror with its bare hand.

Powerful as the Ji Clan patriarch was, he was slightly outmatched. The ancient mirror shattered the void, yet could not harm this golden, dreadful creature. The two entered into a life-and-death struggle, becoming a ball of blinding, searing light.

“Woof!” The Great Black Dog yelped, its tongue lolling out and eyes rolling back. It had almost been choked unconscious by Ye Fan.

“Damn it, is it wrong for this Emperor to just want to discreetly take a couple of immortal treasures? Is this Emperor’s life an easy one?!” it muttered in deep indignation.

At this moment, they had not been attacked — thanks entirely to the Monkey transmitting in the ancient tongue, speaking with the Primordial ancient creatures.

Ye Fan had completely lost any capacity for frustration. Having encountered such an extraordinary dog, there was truly nothing he could do. Whenever it saw a precious treasure, it could not move another step.

“Monkey — you definitely have your chance here. Go in and steal a couple of immortal treasures. Aside from things belonging to the Primordial beings themselves, you might even find relics left behind by a True Dragon!” The Great Black Dog was utterly shameless.

“This Emperor is not greedy — I just want to carry that scarlet ancient coffin out, and grab that True Dragon immortality medicine while we’re at it,” the Great Black Dog said, baring its teeth.

“What the…” Ye Fan’s face nearly went green. He had a real sense that this damned dog was going to get them killed.

“Come on — while the Ten-Thousand Dragon Lair is emptied out, let’s raid the ancient creatures’ den!” The Great Black Dog darted forward and glanced back, saying: “It’s fine — we can cross the void at any time.”

“Aaah…”

A scream rang out, shaking the Ten-Thousand Dragon Lair. Another supreme figure of the highest tier had died.
