Xi Ju Nv Shen – Chapter 47

Wu Mangmang’s first instinct was that the Hummer was within reach.

She thought to herself that Lu Sui was really impressive. It had only been two days, and normally this kind of car wouldn’t have stock available and would need to be pre-ordered, but rich people had their own ways of reaching heaven. Wu Mangmang had great confidence in Lu Sui.

When getting off work, Lu Sui came to pick her up. They obviously weren’t going back to the lake district, but toward the suburbs in another direction, apparently where car dealerships were concentrated.

Lu Sui brought Wu Mangmang to a very spacious place, with a small hill in the middle covered with blue plastic sheeting, so Wu Mangmang couldn’t tell what that small hill was. She thought and thought but couldn’t guess.

If it were a plane or yacht, it would be too small, but absolutely no vehicle would be this large.

What exactly would have such a large volume?

Wu Mangmang tried hard to control her overflowing curiosity, her little heart pounding as Lu Sui pulled her toward that “gift.”

As Lu Sui came to a stop, two people from left to right lifted the plastic sheeting covering the gift, revealing its true face.

A bright red, brand-new 10-ton freight truck!

Haha, what a funny joke.

But Wu Mangmang couldn’t laugh at all.

“Big enough?” Lu Sui asked Wu Mangmang. “Go up and try it. The view is quite good, absolutely no one can block your line of sight, and the difference from your personal image is obvious enough. Others will definitely say ‘wow’ when they see you as a female driver.” Lu Sui rarely spoke such a long paragraph.

“This joke isn’t funny at all.” Wu Mangmang pouted.

Lu Sui took Wu Mangmang’s hand, making her palm open, and placed the truck keys in her palm. “I specially picked this color for you, it suits you very well. Want to go over and pose with your new ride? I’ll take photos for you.”

Wu Mangmang firmly shook her head.

“Doesn’t meet your requirements?” Lu Sui seemed somewhat aggrieved.

“I want my Hummer.” Wu Mangmang knew Lu Sui must be teasing her.

“Hummers are absolutely pathetic compared to this truck. Whether it’s safety or height difference, it beats Hummers by a mile. Why don’t you let them crash into each other and try.” Lu Sui said.

“Stop playing around. Is teasing me fun?” Wu Mangmang was so disappointed she was about to cry. She really strongly wanted a ride.

“Try it. Maybe after taking a spin, you’ll like it.” Lu Sui said.

Wu Mangmang rolled her eyes. “I have a C license, I can’t drive this car.” You idiot! She didn’t dare say the last sentence out loud.

But she had something more venomous: “Why don’t you give me a tower crane? The view is high, and you don’t have to worry about traffic jams – it can directly lift me from point A to point B.”

“Next Singles’ Day then.” Lu Sui nodded.

“Lu Sui!” Wu Mangmang stomped her feet hard. This kind of sweet angry voice could only be made by women in love.

And only men in love wouldn’t get goosebumps hearing it.

“Alright then, Singles’ Day has promotions, buy one get one free, grateful big giveaway. When I bought this truck, they also gave me one.” Lu Sui produced another set of keys.

Wu Mangmang could tell from the car keys that it was a Ferrari, and no longer hoped Lu Sui would give her an SUV.

Fire red, high-end custom, driving it would probably make people think of Nezha’s wind-fire wheels.

From leather goods to interior, everything was very particular. It would be absolutely impossible to get this car in just a few days.

“You ordered this car a long time ago?” Wu Mangmang asked Lu Sui.

Lu Sui nodded. “But I still pulled some strings and jumped the queue.”

As soon as Wu Mangmang sat in the car, she felt inferior, feeling depressed both physically and mentally.

Sports cars worth millions were flashy, but driving them was truly unpleasant.

She had originally thought this Singles’ Day could be spent showing off together, but facts proved she was too naive – she was completely being tortured by Lu Sui.

“Driving this isn’t as good as driving the truck,” Wu Mangmang thought, and couldn’t help asking, “If we break up in the future, do I have to return this car to you?”

Lu Sui said, “Do whatever you want with it.”

Wu Mangmang’s face finally showed some smile. Although she didn’t like the car, no one would dislike it when converted to money.

But a gentleman must have his revenge. Wu Mangmang’s eyes turned, and she drove the sports car to the busy district and said to Lu Sui, “I want to change my hairstyle, but it might take quite a while. Can you go back first and pick me up later?”

Lu Sui naturally could only agree.

The time women spend doing their hair is too terrifying. Even with the heart to accompany them, one really couldn’t afford those several hours.

The salon where Wu Mangmang usually did her hair was also following the trend with Singles’ Day activities. The star stylist’s wash, cut, and blow-dry was only 1111, supposedly he had once styled a female celebrity surnamed Shu, and when Korean stars came to the city without their own stylists, they would specifically request him.

1111, this really counted as a blood-loss clearance sale.

“Your hair is so beautiful, it’s very suitable for long hair. Are you sure you want to cut it?” Paul confirmed with Wu Mangmang again with a regretful expression.

“Mm.”

“My hair is almost done, come pick me up.” Wu Mangmang called Lu Sui.

But there seemed to be mahjong sounds on the phone – boring old men’s games.

“Are you playing mahjong?” Wu Mangmang asked.

“Mm. Should I have the driver pick you up?” Lu Sui said.

“You don’t even want your girlfriend for mahjong?” Wu Mangmang said dissatisfiedly, “And sitting for long periods will turn your abs into a beer belly.”

Wu Mangmang felt she would despise Lu Sui.

When women became clingy, it really gave people splitting headaches. Lu Sui rubbed his temples.

“No, I want you to pick me up. I even prepared a big surprise for you. I hope you’re the first person to see my new look.” Wu Mangmang was almost crying on the other end of the phone.

Lu Sui had to stand up. “You guys find someone to substitute for me.”

Wu Mangmang decisively gave a smiling “V” gesture to herself in the mirror.

From the phone, Lu Sui heard a chorus of boos, especially Ning Zheng’s voice was the loudest, “Lu Sui, seriously?”

“You’re not being fair, Lu Sui. When my girlfriend got angry at me for playing mahjong before, how did you treat me?” Jiang Baoliang also spoke up.

Lu Sui picked up his coat and walked out, waving his hand without looking back.

“Hey, we’re waiting for you to make four!” Ning Zheng stood up and shouted.

“Lu Sui is serious this time?” Jiang Baoliang clicked his tongue twice, “Actually fell into the hands of that little crazy Wu Mangmang? Unbelievable!”

“That little minx Wu Mangmang, impossible!” Ning Zheng said disdainfully, probably not realizing the sour grapes mentality in his own words.

Shen Ting didn’t comment, “Are we still playing or not?”

“What’s the point of three people playing? Let’s wait for Lu Sui.” Ning Zheng pushed away the tiles and stood up, going to the balcony to light a cigarette.

“Why did you start smoking?” Shen Ting asked Ning Zheng.

Ning Zheng remained silent.

“Still haven’t gotten over it?” Shen Ting asked Ning Zheng.

“You try being pressured into marriage.” Ning Zheng was probably driven desperate by Shen Yuanzi, even taking out his anger on Shen Ting.

“If you really don’t like Yuanzi, don’t delay her either. Can’t bear to part with the Ning family’s bit of wealth?” Shen Ting said.

Ning Zheng took a fierce drag of his cigarette, “If I don’t take it, should I leave it for that outsider?”

To put it bluntly, Ning Zheng was just unwilling to accept it.

That outside woman killed his mother, and the illegitimate son entered the family openly. How could he swallow that anger?

“Then don’t leave anything for the Ning family.” Shen Ting said.

Ning Zheng looked up at Shen Ting. Shen Ting waved his hand, “Lu Sui said that, you consider it.”

“You don’t care about Shen Yuanzi?” Ning Zheng said.

“It’s because I care about her that I’m getting involved in this mess. You’re harming both others and yourself like this.” Shen Ting said.

Ning Zheng said nothing, just punched Shen Ting’s shoulder.

When Lu Sui arrived at the salon, his gaze swept three times around but didn’t see Wu Mangmang anywhere.

Until Wu Mangmang patted him on the back.

“Uncle.” Wu Mangmang called out crisply, then quickly kissed Lu Sui’s cheek, then intimately took his arm, “Let’s go, were you anxious waiting?”

Everyone in the packed salon looked in unison at this obviously unclear niece and uncle.

The uncle was really too easy on the eyes, with looks that broke the ceiling, and the gray cashmere coat on him simply made both temperament and presence explode.

It was just that the little niece was too young, with student girl short hair with neat bangs, and wearing a high school uniform – how could he lay hands on her?

“Does it look good, Uncle?” Wu Mangmang stepped two steps away from Lu Sui, standing on her tiptoes and spinning around twice in intoxication.

This hairstyle directly made her look seven or eight years younger. She would definitely be asked for ID at bars and casinos.

The high school uniform on her body was sent by the maid at home – Wu Mangmang’s skirt from when she was in high school.

White shirt, maroon pleated skirt, dark blue ribbon tied at the collar, black flat shoes, Japanese-style student socks one inch below the knee.

Wu Mangmang had been the goddess of their high school, so of course she had been the first to take the lead in shortening the skirt above the knee. So this pure outfit also carried the temptation of a scheming bitch.

After spinning, Wu Mangmang pressed against Lu Sui’s arm again, “Let’s go, Uncle. Don’t worry, Auntie flew to London today and won’t be back. I’m all yours for the whole evening.” Wu Mangmang pressed against Lu Sui’s arm again.

The surrounding people felt a chill.

Lu Sui closed his eyes. His girlfriend really could think of anything and act out anything.

On the way back, Lu Sui didn’t speak the entire time.

Wu Mangmang kept blowing her bangs upward for fun, “Dr. Wu suggested I play more positive roles from now on. I thought about it and felt that high school students are the most positive. I even specially bought a box of pencils, planning to study hard from now on, day day up.”

Wu Mangmang waved the pencils in her hand.

Halfway through, Shen Ting called asking if Lu Sui was coming back.

Wu Mangmang leaned over beside Lu Sui and said, “A bet is a bet, today it’s your turn to pay up. This is the day for showing off love.”

Not showing off love on Singles’ Day would be a waste of natural resources.

Lu Sui looked at Wu Mangmang’s outfit. Taking her out like this, even without saying anything, others would think he was a pervert.

“Not going back, let’s arrange another day.” Lu Sui hung up the phone.

Wu Mangmang followed behind Lu Sui, rubbing her hands together as they walked into the Lu residence.

“Wait for me, I’ll go get the camera. I think the sofa area in the living room would be good for photos.” Wu Mangmang said.

Lu Sui replied, “Your aunt said there was airport control today, the plane didn’t take off, so she’s coming back to check on things.”

Then he closed the door right in Wu Mangmang’s face, almost breaking her high nose bridge.
