Extra Chapter 097: The Perfect Reversal

“Buli!” Ziqing gasped in alarm.

“Hold on, give him the item!” Jun Beiyue decided instantly!

Ziqing gripped the porcelain vial in her sleeve, using the coffin as cover, and passed it to Jun Buli!

But Jun Buli’s consciousness seemed to have grown hazy—he didn’t take it right away!

“Son, you promised us! Hold on to the end!” Ziqing moved closer, pressing the vial into his hand, holding it firmly, hoping to give him strength.

Fortunately, Jun Buli was still conscious enough. He gripped the vial tight, saying nothing—afraid that if he opened his mouth, he wouldn’t be able to hold back, and would give Li Qinqin the satisfaction of watching him break.

But he looked coldly at Li Qinqin and gave a firm, deliberate nod!

“Jun Yaotiao is inside. If you don’t open the coffin, and she suffocates to death, don’t blame me for not warning you!” Li Qinqin said with a smile, secretly counting down—by the count of five, Jun Buli would surely lose control!

But then, unexpectedly, Ziqing and the others all suddenly threw the main coffin open together, without even glancing at it, lifting the lid high—and Jun Buli immediately leapt inside!

Then the coffin was shut closed at once!

What immense trust it must have taken, to close that lid over him!

Li Qinqin immediately sensed something was wrong, but at that very moment, Guardian Feng’s coffin suddenly began shaking violently!

Li Qinqin jumped in shock, and without thinking, sat down atop Guardian Feng’s coffin, shouting furiously, “What are you doing? Why did you close the coffin!”

“Weren’t we supposed to kill whoever’s inside first before we could save Yaotiao? We closed it so whoever’s inside can’t escape,” Ziqing said with a smile.

Li Qinqin found her words increasingly strange.

Just as she was about to speak, suddenly there came a loud “bang,” and Guardian Feng’s coffin burst open with such force it flung Li Qinqin off balance.

She was thrown into the air, then dropped down quickly, just as Guardian Feng rose up from his coffin, his pale face twisted with sinister menace, sweeping a cold glare over everyone present, his gaze finally settling on Ziqing’s group.

“Humans! How dare you trespass into our clan’s sacred ground! What have you done to the main coffin?” Guardian Feng roared.

“She locked my daughter in here—we came to save her!” Ziqing said with a completely straight face, spinning a massive lie straight from Li Qinqin’s own playbook!

Guardian Feng immediately turned to Li Qinqin. “You! When did you wake up! You dared to lead humans in here—you traitor!”

Li Qinqin had no idea what was happening inside the main coffin, nor what game Ziqing and her group were playing!

But of one thing, she was completely certain.

By now, Jun Buli’s addiction must surely have triggered. The Left Envoy definitely hadn’t woken, so Jun Buli would surely kill him—it was only a matter of time.

She suddenly shot up into the air, positioning herself protectively in front of Ziqing’s group, saying coldly, “Guardian Feng, this is my game—you’d best not interfere.”

“Insolence! Who do you think you are, speaking to me like that!” Guardian Feng roared furiously, about to lunge, only to remember he couldn’t stray too far from his coffin.

Li Qinqin laughed loudly. “Elder Guardian, so what if you are? I’m not afraid to tell you—I woke before you did. You still need another five hundred years to fully awaken. As you are now, there’s nothing you can do to me!”

“You—!” Guardian Feng choked with anger. “Don’t be so sure this old master can’t do anything to you!”

“Is that so?” Li Qinqin raised an eyebrow, challenging him—in truth, she was simply stalling for time. Based on her knowledge of Jun Buli, within half an hour at most, he’d surely have destroyed the Left Envoy!

Yet unexpectedly, Guardian Feng suddenly sat back down cross-legged on his coffin, closing his eyes, murmuring something under his breath that no one could make out!

Ziqing’s group merely watched the spectacle unfold, but soon, they too were startled.

The entire tomb began to tremble, as though a great earthquake had struck, and amid the tremendous commotion, a series of clanking, rattling sounds followed—remarkably similar to the shaking of Guardian Feng’s coffin just moments before!

Could it be?

“Heh, old fool, do you think summoning reinforcements will stop me? I’ll tell you now—tonight, I intend to destroy the Left Envoy! The descendant of the Sky Wolf clan is right there inside the main coffin!” Li Qinqin declared arrogantly.

At this, Guardian Feng was stunned, then erupted into fury. “Traitor! Kill her!”

The moment the words left his mouth, a dense, dark mass of figures surged toward the great hall’s entrance—all of them vampires!

Guardian Feng had used his spiritual senses to command every awakened vampire to converge there.

Yet strangely, the dense crowd remained stuck at the entrance, utterly unable to push through!

At the sight, Guardian Feng was shocked. “What’s going on?”

Li Qinqin was startled too—why couldn’t the vampire troops get in? What was happening at the entrance?

A flicker of suspicion crossed her eyes as she quickly turned to look behind her, only to find Ziqing and the others already seated calmly atop the coffins, coldly observing the entire scene.

“Was this you?” Li Qinqin said coldly.

Jun Beiyue and Situ Haonan sat at the very front, arms crossed, watching her coldly, offering no answer.

Meanwhile, Ziqing and the others smiled as they looked toward the entrance—there, blocking the doorway, were none other than Meng Duo’er and her group.

The tall one and short one were hauling a coffin—unmistakably Li Qinqin’s own coffin. Yaotiao grinned at them adorably, making an inverted V sign with her little fingers.

Li Qinqin followed Ziqing’s gaze but saw absolutely nothing—the entrance appeared completely empty, and yet that dense mass of vampires simply couldn’t force their way through no matter how hard they charged.

Jun Buli had never told her much about Nanzhao’s affairs, and even if she’d known such things as barrier techniques existed in theory, she’d never actually witnessed one firsthand. Right now, it would never even occur to her that a barrier was sealing off the entrance.

“Li Qinqin, you’ve led wolves into our home! Traitor!” Guardian Feng roared, but not yet fully awake, aside from being able to summon vampires through his spiritual senses, he was completely unable to move.

Li Qinqin had no time to worry about Guardian Feng—she stared coldly at Ziqing’s strange, unsettling smile, feeling more and more that something was terribly wrong!

“Open the coffin! I’m going in!”

Suddenly she shouted furiously, immediately charging straight toward Ziqing’s group. But before she could reach them, Meng Duo’er and her companions had already arrived beside Ziqing’s group.

Watching Li Qinqin fly toward them, Ziqing’s lips curved into a cold smile as she asked, “Scholar, if we’re not dragging this coffin out, what did we bring it here for?”

“Let her have one last look—wouldn’t it be too cruel otherwise?” Baili Weisheng said with a smile.

Meng Duo’er, who’d been listening carefully to every word he said, immediately deployed a barrier the moment she heard this, instantly enclosing Ziqing’s group along with the Blood Master’s main coffin within it. At the same time, the barrier shimmered with dazzling light, visible even to those outside.

Li Qinqin had just gotten close when suddenly a whole group appeared out of nowhere, stopping her dead in her tracks, jaw dropped in shock.

Ziqing deliberately lifted Yaotiao, who’d been hidden behind everyone, and walked to the very front, smiling cheerfully at Li Qinqin. “Yaotiao, you remember this auntie, don’t you?”

“I remember—she’s the one who kidnapped me!” Yaotiao said earnestly.

Li Qinqin looked utterly stunned, her voice rising in furious, incredulous disbelief. “You! How could you? This is impossible!”

Just then, the tall one and short one emerged from the back, hauling Li Qinqin’s coffin.

At the sight, Li Qinqin exploded with rage. “You two traitors!”

Unfortunately, the two brothers were already too busy bickering over the weight of the coffin to pay any attention to Li Qinqin’s fury. “Mama, once we’re out of here, let’s burn this bad woman’s coffin, okay?” Yaotiao’s voice was young and innocent, yet it sent chills down Li Qinqin’s spine.

“You little brat, how dare you!” Li Qinqin roared, charging straight at her.
