Teacher Cheng hesitated. “Weiwei, Xiaoxin is still a child…”
Bai Youwei: “I know he’s small, so Teacher Cheng, you must hold the door steady! If you leave too much space, several will run in and the kid won’t be able to handle them.”
Hearing this, Teacher Cheng immediately stopped talking and pressed against the door even harder!
Bai Youwei also pressed against the door from behind, gripping her hammer, waiting for those things to show their heads so she could give them a good beating!
These monsters had no intelligence. If they didn’t leave a crack, they would gnaw randomly everywhere, potentially chewing a huge hole somewhere. But if they left a crack, the monsters would lunge at it as if provoked.
One monster after another had its head chopped off!
Like blood bags bursting one after another!
The accumulated blood vapor on the ground irritated their nasal passages. The kitchen knife in hand became stickier and heavier. Suddenly, Pan Xiaoxin’s hand slipped and the knife fell to the ground!
He hastily tried to pick it up, but his hands were so slippery he couldn’t grab it after two attempts! Meanwhile, those monsters swarmed endlessly inside!
Cheng Weicai pressed desperately against the door!
Bai Youwei used her hammer to kill one, saying coldly, “Xiaoxin! Stop trying to get the knife—fall back! Teacher Cheng, you too, move back!”
Pan Xiaoxin nodded and retreated.
Cheng Weicai pressed against the door, not daring to let go. “But…”
Dull thuds came one after another, as if balls were hitting the back kitchen door! They bumped and squeezed, the entire door banging and rattling, on the verge of collapse!
Cheng Weicai really didn’t dare retreat.
Once he did, all the monsters outside might rush in!
The monsters persisted in squeezing and pushing. Driven by the bloody smell, their force grew fiercer and more frenzied! The ground also began to shake—
The man slumped on the ground shouted in terror, “Kill them quickly!!! The snake is coming! The snake will be attracted! Ahhhhh!!!”
“Move back!” Bai Youwei suddenly pulled Cheng Weicai away!
The door flew wide open!
Dozens of skinned monsters swarmed in!
The next second, blue-purple electric light flashed bright! Dazzling everyone into closing their eyes. A crackling sound of electric current filled their ears, and a scorched fishy stench instantly permeated the air!
Everyone opened their eyes to see the ground covered with blackened, foul-smelling little monsters.
Two weren’t completely dead, their limbs twitching a few times before they too went still…
Pan Xiaoxin was stunned.
Bai Youwei sat in her wheelchair with her back to them, her long hair slightly fluffed from the electric current, the plush rabbit in her arms docile and quiet, showing no sign of what had happened.
She exhaled lightly, turning to look at everyone. “Maybe they’re just temporarily paralyzed. To be safe, you should double-check…”
Before she finished speaking, the slumped man excitedly shouted, “Is it an item?! Are there items like this?! If we kill all these monsters, we can get out!”
“Shut up!” Bai Youwei shouted sternly. “Don’t take me for a fool! With this exponential reproductive speed, how could we possibly kill them all?! If you dare speak one more word of nonsense, you’ll be the first one I kill!!!”
The man trembled, looking at her fearfully.
Bai Youwei wheeled herself in front of the man, staring at him ominously. Finally, she raised her hammer and smashed it hard beside his leg!
The man screamed in terror: “I’ll talk! I’ll tell you everything! I’ll tell you everything!!!”
“Why didn’t you tell us they reproduce!” Bai Youwei demanded coldly.
The man sobbed, “I did say it! I said they multiply!”
Bai Youwei sneered, wheeling her chair over his paralyzed legs—
“Ahhhhhhh!!!” The man’s screams were agonizing, his face deathly pale.
Cheng Weicai wanted to speak but held back, unable to bear watching, yet not knowing how to persuade her. He reached out to cover Pan Xiaoxin’s eyes to prevent the child from being traumatized.
“I’ll talk! I’ll talk! I’ll tell you!” the man cried out. “I thought you’d die quickly, that’s why I didn’t say! …I didn’t mean not to tell you, I didn’t know you could deal with so many monsters…”
“I’m giving you one last chance—otherwise next time I won’t run over your legs.” Bai Youwei smiled with a hint of wickedness in her eyes. “I’ll run over your face.”
