Li Qinqin charged straight ahead, but couldn’t break through the barrier at all, immediately bouncing back.
Jun Yaotiao knocked on Li Qinqin’s coffin, raising an eyebrow at her. “Kidnapping a child—shameless!”
“You little brat, shut your mouth!” Li Qinqin cursed furiously.
“Cursing at a child too—even more shameless!” Jun Yaotiao pouted, lecturing her. Every injury on her body ached faintly, but she would never say so—after all, it was her own weakness that had caused all this trouble for everyone.
Watching Li Qinqin nearly explode with rage, Yaotiao secretly vowed to herself that she would train hard, very hard, to become strong like her father, mother, and brother, capable of protecting herself!
These minor injuries were nothing to speak of.
After several failed attempts to break through, Li Qinqin gave up, while behind her, Guardian Feng, driven half-mad with fury, berated the tall one and short one.
“You two traitors, what exactly are you trying to do!”
“You actually defected to the humans, traitors!”
…
The tall one and short one were utterly bewildered, exchanging baffled glances as they struggled to carry the coffin.
“Boss, did we betray the vampire clan?” the short one asked earnestly.
“No, we didn’t,” the tall one said, equally confused.
“Then why does the Guardian call us traitors?” the short one asked, puzzled.
The tall one looked at him, then turned to Guardian Feng, hurriedly explaining, “Guardian Feng, you’ve misunderstood. We haven’t betrayed the clan. This woman wanted to kill the Left Envoy, so we…”
“You fools, and those humans didn’t want to kill the Left Envoy too? What were they doing entering the main coffin?” Guardian Feng was filled with regret—genuine, deep regret—for raising such idiots. Being idiots wasn’t even the main issue; the real problem was how uniquely, extraordinarily idiotic they were!
Yet the tall one, now genuinely alarmed, quickly explained, “They have the undying blood! They can revive the Left Envoy!”
Uh…
At this, Li Qinqin flinched violently, then froze in complete shock.
“What!” Guardian Feng gasped in astonishment. “The undying blood—you found the undying blood!”
Watching both Li Qinqin’s and Guardian Feng’s reactions, Ziqing’s group burst into laughter—none of them had expected this secret to be revealed by the tall one and short one!
“The undying blood has already been brought inside. Li Qinqin, did you really think we knew nothing?” Ziqing said coldly.
Li Qinqin looked frozen solid as a statue, taking a long moment to recover, while Guardian Feng, both anxious and suspicious, blurted out in his confusion at this sudden revelation, “You… you’re really here to save the Left Envoy?”
“Pfft!”
Baili Weisheng couldn’t help but burst out laughing uproariously, while Situ Haonan spoke with grave seriousness, “The vampire clan dreams of seizing my Xijing desert! Not a chance! Today, we’re here to kill the Left Envoy!”
At this, with a loud thud, Li Qinqin’s coffin dropped down—fortunately caught by the barrier before it hit the ground—and almost simultaneously, Meng Duo’er formed a binding barrier with her hands, trapping the tall one and short one in place!
The two brothers stared in shock, their already pale faces growing even more ashen.
“It’s over, we’re really traitors now?”
“Boo hoo… how did this happen, you idiot, this is all your fault!”
…
So the two brothers began bickering with each other yet again, off to the side.
Guardian Feng smacked his own forehead, never having imagined the mighty vampire clan could be breached so easily. Thinking of this, he glared viciously at Li Qinqin. “This is all your doing! All of it, you!”
Yet Li Qinqin merely scoffed coldly. “What good does blaming me do now? Even if the Left Envoy dies, so what? I don’t believe for a second they’ll actually manage to get out of here!”
This reminded Guardian Feng, and he immediately used his spiritual senses to command the vampire soldiers blocking the entrance to seal it completely.
“If you’ve got the nerve, spend the rest of your lives in here! Heh, let’s see whose life is longer!” Li Qinqin said coldly.
“Aren’t you afraid of my Sky Wolf fangs?” Jun Yaotiao stepped forward, fuming.
“Heh, little girl, your brother took the undying blood down into the main coffin—by now his Sky Wolf fang addiction has probably already been cured. You, a little runt who hasn’t even fully developed yet, go ahead and bite me!” Li Qinqin sneered dismissively.
Guardian Feng finally understood exactly what was happening and immediately positioned himself beside Li Qinqin, saying coldly, “Humans, if you’ve got the nerve, let’s see who can outlast whom in here!”
Ziqing’s group hadn’t originally intended to wake the vampire clan, and hadn’t expected Li Qinqin would actually side with Guardian Feng.
“Looks like I’ll have to blow up this entire tomb today, won’t I?” she said, pulling a small black ball from her sleeve—one of the new products she’d developed over the years. Small in size, but with astonishing destructive power.
A single one was enough to destroy half the vampire clan’s burial grounds.
“Mother, I have one too! Let’s wait for Brother to bring back the Left Envoy’s blood, and once it’s dawn, we’ll blow them up!” Jun Yaotiao said, pulling her own gunpowder ball from her sleeve.
Seeing her innocent, adorable expression, everyone couldn’t help but laugh.
Guardian Feng and Li Qinqin had no idea what those objects were, puzzled as to why everyone seemed so pleased. But then, Ziqing took Yaotiao’s gunpowder ball, holding it up high with a smile. “Looks like they still don’t know what this is. That’s no fun at all—Yaotiao, why don’t you use yours first, and let them see clearly?”
“Yay, yay!” Jun Yaotiao clapped her hands with delight.
Guardian Feng and Li Qinqin grew uneasy. Ziqing smiled, handing the gunpowder to Meng Duo’er. “Toss it out of the barrier—aim right at them!”
“Got it!” Meng Duo’er said, honored by the task.
Just as she was about to act, Guardian Feng and Li Qinqin instantly split apart, landing beside the edge of the barrier.
These two—rather clever, weren’t they!
But it made no difference. Meng Duo’er had already set her sights on Guardian Feng’s coffin, tossing the gunpowder directly out of the barrier at it.
Boom!
A tremendous explosion erupted at once, white smoke billowing everywhere, the ground shaking as if the earth itself had split apart, chaos reigning.
It took quite a while for the smoke to clear, and as everything gradually came into view, the first to be struck dumb was Guardian Feng.
“My coffin!”
He screamed, rushing forward, only to find nothing left at all. The entire hall had been reduced to rubble—no, not just this hall, but roughly a third of the Blood Master’s entire burial complex had been turned to ruins, with sand dunes above continuously cascading down, threatening to bury the wreckage entirely.
Not to mention Guardian Feng’s coffin—every other Great Guardian’s coffin, every vampire’s coffin, had vanished without a trace, nowhere to be found. All that remained visible amid the rubble and sand were countless soldiers struggling to free themselves, alive but injured, their coffins utterly gone!
Both Li Qinqin and Guardian Feng stood stunned, turning in unison to stare at the small black ball still in Ziqing’s hand, their mouths hanging open in sheer horror.
If this woman threw the one still in her hand—what would happen to the entire vampire burial ground?
No burial ground, no coffins—the vampires would all die from sunlight exposure!
Into the silence, Yaotiao’s young, innocent voice rang out. “Oh… Mama, look, there are stars.” Everyone followed the direction she pointed and discovered that one end of the burial chamber had, at some point, completely collapsed, exposed to the open sky…
