Chapter 1599: Blood Flows

Xiao Nannan’s crying faded into the distance and vanished. Ye Fan arrived beyond the domain in almost an instant. Standing there, he could sense that despair-inducing cry and roar deep within the universe, a battle raging that shook heaven and earth apart!

He couldn’t bear it, couldn’t afford to pause. Above his head, auspicious clouds boiled, the Green Bronze Cauldron revived to its utmost, his body glowing, his blood already boiling! He held the treasure vase in hand, carrying Wushi’s blood, ready for battle, about to rush forward.

Suddenly, imperial energy permeated the air, a blazing light flashing, blocking his path ahead.

Beyond the domain, a figure appeared, the aura of an ancient emperor spreading outward, golden immortal light scattering through the universe, terrifying yet powerful.

“Sacred Body… Ye Fan?” That figure’s divine sense called out his name.

“It’s me. You are… Dao Yi!”

A golden immortal armor, extraordinarily dazzling, stood before him, forged from Dao Tribulation Gold, resplendent and radiant, emanating a Great Emperor’s aura, in a state of revival.

This was a Supreme Being’s battle armor, from the Eternal Star Region, belonging to Emperor Dao Yan, now worn upon the body of Imperial Son Dao Yi.

Ye Fan held Dao Yi in extremely high regard. Back then, he had single-handedly crushed the Ancient Race, a truly astonishing feat, and his greatest achievement had been everything he’d accomplished at the Other Shore of the Gods — single-handedly setting a trap that completely overturned that place, successfully reclaiming the Tree of Life, an act that inspired awe.

“So it really is you. I never expected your Sacred Body lineage to be this extraordinary — actually merging together like this.” Dao Yi spoke.

“Do you need something?” Between them, it couldn’t quite be called mortal enmity, but they were certainly not close friends either — they’d clashed before, over the contention of Emperor-tier artifacts.

“You’re a Sacred Body — after taking possession of the Great Accomplishment Sacred Body, your bloodline connects, letting you unleash maximum power. Are you going to fight in the universe now?” Dao Yi asked.

“That’s right.”

“Having merged with the Great Accomplishment Sacred Body, and possessing that vase of supreme Emperor blood that makes one tremble just sensing it — perhaps you could make a Supreme Being spill imperial blood. But going this way, you likely won’t be coming back.” Dao Yi said.

“If you’ve come to say this, there’s no need to say more.” Ye Fan made to leave.

Clearly, Dao Yi was clever, and had also fled to the Big Dipper Star Region to avoid disaster — this place now being the safest — and was preparing to depart. Discovering Ye Fan, along with the great black dog and Xiao Nannan, with his intelligence he could naturally piece together a great deal.

“Clang!”

Light blazed brilliantly from Dao Yi’s body, ringing out with metallic tremors, that golden immortal garment radiating dazzling brilliance, detaching itself from his body.

Piece by piece, golden armor plating shone forth immortal radiance that split the universe, impossible to look at directly, clanging and ringing, like ten thousand immortal swords humming in unison.

The undying battle armor forged from Dao Tribulation Gold now hung suspended in the universe, disassembled here, no longer upon Dao Yi’s body.

“To speak frankly, I, Dao Yi, am also someone of note in this generation. Among our peers, I fear no one. If you can throw yourself into the flame like a moth to fight this battle, how could I be lesser than you? It’s just that, by myself alone, going there wouldn’t solve anything. Wear this immortal armor and go fight!”

Dao Yi was direct, his words forceful.

He revealed his true form — a tall, slender body, heroic and peerless in bearing, his hair loose and flowing, carrying an air that transcended the mortal world.

Ye Fan was momentarily stunned. His impression of Dao Yi had been of someone deeply calculating, terrifyingly capable — otherwise he couldn’t have pulled off those two great feats of old. But now, he had a completely new understanding of the man — never had he expected that, at this critical moment, Dao Yi would directly remove his own immortal garment and send him off to war!

“Your physical body is very strong, but your soul truly isn’t up to par — before an Ancient Supreme Being, it’s as fragile as porcelain, shattering to dust with the slightest flick.” Dao Yi said quite bluntly.

“Much thanks!” This outcome caught Ye Fan by surprise, but he didn’t decline, because he truly needed it.

With a clang, piece after piece of golden immortal armor flew over, gleaming and glorious, dazzlingly bright, already truly revived, exerting no pressure on Ye Fan at all — instead settling perfectly into place, sinking into his immortal platform, covering that small golden figure within.

Amid the ringing clangs, Ye Fan’s soul was armed, the immortal garment forged from Dao Tribulation Gold attaching to him, worn by that fist-sized golden figure, its immortal light astonishing, illuminating the heavens.

As Emperor Dao Yan’s immortal garment fully merged with him, Ye Fan’s immortal platform seemed to have countless suns burning within it, its radiance shaking the heavens, blazing forth from his skull, startling the entire universe.

Dao Yi spoke, “I hope you survive. But if we truly meet again, you and I will still be great rivals — contending for supremacy on the path to immortality, settling things once and for all!”

“Good!” Ye Fan nodded, then tore through the universe and departed swiftly.

This was an opponent worthy of respect. He didn’t want to say much more — if he could truly survive and return, fighting a man like this wouldn’t be anything less than an honor.

Now merged with two Great Accomplishment Sacred Bodies, Ye Fan could shatter the starry sky outright — a single leap could carry him across an entire star region, flying like a beam of light through time itself!

Along the way, he sensed several powerful auras, catching their roars of defiance.

“Even in death I’ll fight — this generation cannot let Emperor Void bleed and perish in vain!”

“I’m already ancient and frail — let me throw these old bones into the fray. But I’ll die before giving them even a shred of life essence!”

Ye Fan, along the way, heard the roars of several elderly Quasi-Emperors. They didn’t belong to the human race, coming from different life-bearing star regions, now heading to join the battle.

This road was not a lonely one — there were others like him, knowing death was certain yet still throwing themselves into the flame like moths, going to help Void and Eternal Cosmos fight, willing to give what remained of their lives.

Drawing close, he finally arrived at this battlefield!

Stars were split apart, great celestial bodies fell, suns exploded — everywhere lay in ruin, rubble scattered everywhere, all of it shattered star rivers.

Blood sprayed and flew, shimmering with astonishing light — that was Emperor’s blood, Imperial blood — a single splattered drop could pierce through entire star clusters.

“Ahh… Kill!”

The Ancient Supreme Beings roared, shattering star rivers, cracking heaven and earth apart, killing intent pressing down upon the eternal ages — the battle here had reached its most intense pitch!

Too tragic, too brutal. In the cold universe, endless stars exploded into fragments, their light thoroughly extinguished, blood spraying everywhere, an unbearable sight to behold — one of Reincarnation Lord’s arms floated adrift, and Void’s chest bones had been broken off too, stained with blood.

This battle had raged to this point — blood clouds billowed, cruel and bloody, several Emperor-tier weapons had been broken, everyone bearing wounds.

Void and Eternal Cosmos teetered on the brink of collapse, and several Supreme Beings were bleeding as well. Many Emperor-tier weapons had revived, unleashing vast attacks, making even the five great Peerless Demon Kings less than fully confident.

Among them, some had weapons already damaged, even shattered entirely!

“Ahh…!” An unyielding, defiant roar rang out.

Splat!

Blood light burst forth as Stone Emperor swung the great black halberd in his hand, cracking heaven and earth apart, splitting a figure in two, directly beating him into a bloody paste, turned to mist of blood, body and soul both destroyed, not even a bone fragment left behind.

“You’re merely a Quasi-Emperor. Don’t even mention your blood energy running dry — even at your peak, how dare you join a battle among Supreme Beings? This is asking to die!”

Merciless words echoed as the great halberd in his hand descended, blood raining down, directly killing another elderly Quasi-Emperor — a generation’s hero, dead an unjust death, not even his bones remaining.

“You bunch of beasts, calling yourselves Supreme Beings in vain — heaven’s eyes were truly blind to let you attain the Dao back then!”

A blood-soaked old man roared furiously — another elderly Quasi-Emperor of some unknown race, willing but unable, having received help from an Emperor-tier artifact here, yet still unable to harm the Supreme Beings, while he himself was about to perish.

His words seemed to stir old memories in several of the Supreme Beings — those years of attaining the Dao, that era of guarding all living things, that period of ruling over the universe, when they too had been revered and honored by all beings.

The eternal ages had passed, and everything had changed. Their bodies, their hearts — nothing was as it had been before!

“Noisy. Insignificant ants daring to gaze upon the world of dragons — know your place!”

Emperor Abandoned Heaven let out a merciless cold snort, reaching a hand forward to grasp — that stretch of space directly collapsed, and the old Quasi-Emperor, already unsteady on his feet, could no longer withstand it, vanishing from where he stood, seized away by Imperial Dao Law.

“Splat!”

Emperor Abandoned Heaven crushed his skull with a single grasp, bursting like a watermelon, crimson blood splattering, a shocking sight!

Such cruelty — yet he didn’t even furrow his brow, as if he had truly just crushed an ant underfoot, cold-blooded and merciless, chilling to witness.

Like the elderly Quasi-Emperor who had died moments before, this man’s life directly burned to ash, transformed by the Dao, becoming rain of light, leaving behind no life essence for the Supreme Beings to seize.

Clearly, in coming here with hearts set on certain death, they had already foreseen this possibility, prepared for death in battle.

This made Emperor Abandoned Heaven frown slightly — to him, this was simply too wasteful!

“Void, you’re doomed. What difference does it make if a few weak insects have come — can they really fight alongside you? Today, I’m destined to taste your blood, anticipating that delicious sweetness!” Reincarnation Supreme laughed cruelly, covered in blood, yet baring a mouth of snow-white teeth. He had once lost an arm, paying a great price in essence and life-force to reforge his Emperor body.

“Hmm!”

At the same time, Stone Emperor struck as well, the black halberd in his hand shaking the heavens, tearing the universe apart, carving a terrifying trench of blood across Void’s body, white bone exposed, blood spraying.

Reincarnation Supreme also struck forward, fighting even as he spoke, cutting open a hole of blood on Void’s body, placing a blood-stained finger to his mouth to taste it, saying grimly, “So sweet — I must drink my fill!”

“BOOM!”

Void said not a word, responding with the strongest force he could muster, his mirror of immortality resonating, radiating an undying brilliance that sent Stone Emperor’s black halberd flying, while simultaneously striking Reincarnation Supreme, blood spraying, his shoulder nearly pierced through.

Elsewhere, Eternal Cosmos faced the same dire crisis — this was not a fair fight at all. Five Ancient Supreme Beings striking together, bloody and brutal, intent on hunting them down.

“It’s coming to an end after all. I’ll wait for those ants to keep coming to their deaths — how laughable, thinking you can fight alongside him…” Reincarnation Supreme said cruelly, fingers stained with Void’s blood, closing in.

Suddenly, right beside him, space burst open, and a pair of unbreakable fists smashed out — this was an Emperor-tier body, shattering the firmament, the distant star river cracking apart, the universe itself exploding.

“Beast, die!” Ye Fan had arrived, using the power of two Emperor-tier artifacts to silently and successfully open a passage, suddenly bursting forth!

He threw one punch straight at Reincarnation Lord’s skull, the other piercing toward his chest, every strand of his hair standing on end, consumed with hatred, wishing he could kill this Supreme Being on the spot.

“Hmm!”

Reincarnation Supreme’s immortal platform came under attack, his skull glowing on its own, rings of divine light appearing, blocking Ye Fan’s right fist, preventing it from landing fully.

But with the pressure of the two Emperor-tier artifacts combined with the Emperor’s fist crashing down, his skull still cracked open. Though his immortal platform remained unharmed, his skull split in four directions, blood spraying.

“Splat!”

At the same moment, Ye Fan’s other fist punched a hole of blood into Reincarnation Lord’s body, blood gushing wildly!

“Seeking death!”

Reincarnation Supreme roared furiously — he’d been too careless, having forgotten that the Azure Gold Battle Robe that had accompanied him through his life of battles had been shattered by Emperor Void not long ago. Caught off guard by the ambush, out of habit he’d thought to use his armor to rebound the attack, only to find no armor there — his own blood sprayed three thousand feet!

“You beast, it’s you who deserves to die!” Ye Fan roared as well, nearly tearing the Supreme Being apart. His most primal goal had been achieved — even dying now would have been worth it.

And having opened up such a favorable position, he naturally wanted to press his advantage further, throwing caution to the wind, fighting to the death — even if he perished here, never to return, he would fight to the very end.
